Safiya tries to seduce Ankhira purely as a power grab, only to start developing real feelings for the spider queen after getting to know her and she just starts going "Oh no why???"

This sat in my inbox for a few days I think, sorry for that.

I like this idea! Even better if the same happens to Ankhira as well but both are too prideful to admit it so they end up in this mutual pining bit where they desperately try to explain their own and each other's action as purely power-driven ones. "I only accompanied her to make sure she won't betray me." "I only let her eat with me to make sure the food isn't poisoned." "I'm sure she only let me sleep in her room because she's worried about me arranging an assassination." "She only kissed me to establish dominance."

Everyone around knows and finds it both hilarious and incredibly frustrating but nobody has the guts to tell them.
