Football was one of those sports that Darrius could watch no matter who was playing -- high school, college, professional, it was all football, and it was all a good time. Besides, he had come to love watching the Rangers play in Merrock. The team had spirit, was good, pushed themselves hard to succeed, and it helped that he knew one of the coaches and a number of the kids just from knowing local families, too. Stepping up into the bleachers, his arms full of food, he gestured towards an empty spot, "is this open? I promise not to scream too loud, and I share my food."

With the help of her wand, Ela moved the last book onto the highest shelf in the store. Stocking up the books was not one of the most fun things to do with a store that had shelves from floor to ceiling but magic made it easier. The day was nearly at the end and she could not wait to go home and see Oliver again. She was grateful for the many people in her surroundings that would help her babysit, look after her son so she could take care of him. Both caringwise and financially.

The doorbell rang and with her eyes on the book in the eyes, Ela started speaking. "I'm sorry, we are closing down for the day, I am going to have to ask you to leave," she exclaimed. The woman lowered her wand before turning around and that made her stop in her tracks. She hadn't seen the blonde giant in the store for months and a wave of relief washed over her to be seeing him again.

Before Ela fully realised, she moved towards Ant and wrapped her arms around his neck, which was quite the task seeing as he was surely 7 inches taller than her. "You are actually here, I can't believe it," she said, a smile forming on her lips. A genuine smile and happiness. Two things she hadn't felt in quite some time but they were happening right now. "Why didn't you tell me that you were coming back?"

While Cohen was out of town, Courtney figured getting out and going down to the beach with Seymour would be a great way for the both of them to get some fresh air as well as some much needed exercise. Seeing a familiar silhouette off to the side, Courtney made her way over to him. "Hey, Anthony," she said greeting her brother-in-law, always forgetting he moved to town a couple of months ago. "How are you?"

IN A ROOM FULL OF PEOPLE HE'D ALWAYS BE ABLE TO FIND HER , there was an admitted moment where he forgot to breathe when he spotted her . she was beautiful , she was always beautiful . he may have said something to the person he was with might have even laughed at something they had said , but nothing was truly registering in his head as his eyes kept finding there way back to her and as he debated whether or not he should even approach her . she'd probably spend the rest of her life being upset with him and he couldn't even craft the words to make her understand how he was trying to protect HER , to protect everyone he loved . because oh did he love her and he didn't think he'd ever be in a position where he didn't . after going back and forth with his decision he finally clapped a hand on the other's shoulder , his way of ending their conversation , and took one one last sip of the drink he had before setting it down , realizing it wasn't even close to enough to lend him any kind of courage to actually approach her . he looked around ( mainly trying to see where dev was ) before walking towards her . standing just far enough from her to not make it obvious but close enough where she could hear him . he reached out to brush her elbow with his finger tips before pulling away quickly as if she'd shatter and shoved both his hands into his pockets , " rafaela . " out of all the things he could say it was only her name that passed his lips and it sounded like a sinner calling to be forgiven , there were things that had been left unsaid playing on the tip of his tongue threatening to spill out . he cleared his throat , " didn't expect to see you here . " anthony kept his eyes on everyone else at the party something of a smile pulling the corners of his lips upwards . " so . uh . how are you .. ? " there was pain in awkward small talk with someone you used to spill your guts to , someone whose face you used to litter with small sloppy kisses between fits of laughter and whispered words of love .
