The Moths And The Lavender

The other day we found some moths flying around our lavender! Doesn't that sound like a strange sight? I mean, everyone knows lavender is meant to scare moths away... Repel would be a better word! But they were just there happily eating away and relishing on my lavender. All those years collecting the flowers, drying the flowers, embroidering those beautiful tiny bags to place the dry lavender inside to insure that your clothes would never ever be attacked by moths, later replaced by the ultra practical supermarket bought "anti moth lavender balls". The point is our moth shield was always lavender based. I can only concluded that being evolution a smarter process than we could possibly understand, moths now truly believe that my potted patio lavender is a cosy winter jacket packet away in my dark closet!!
