It was tradition both ways to meet up when the new prince was announced. It had been a while since a Guard had presented a young one in the woods, and was a promise of a most interesting future that would be exciting to follow.

The largest painting I've done in a while. I see all those artist colleagues whip up intricate scenes in their lunch hour, with castles and battles and whatnot, so my sketches were inspired by that and I now have a pile of promising stories that I want to work on. I actually made a proper drawing as a base for this - with my plenty of speedy paintings I rarely do - and you can find a timelapse GIF of it on my Artstation if you want, https://www.artstation.com/artwork/rRo6mE Obviously the creatures are mixes of foxes and wolves, the little prince does look a bit like the eponymous little prince, and there have been deer people all over my drawings for a while.
