Return to origin Band together chapter 5 Breaking point

The group is ready to rescue Floyd. We'll nostly they still need to be in harmony and all that. So they decided to practice while they headed to Mount Rageous.

They were all geared up in their old outfits some fit.....some don't. They were singing a song when Jd just stops it entirely not liking how it was done.

"Stop. Stop. Timeout. Let’s do it again from the top. Spruce, I want some smolder in those eyes

Clay, you’re being too stiff. We need some sillier robot. Bitty B, maybe a smaller diaper"Jd says going over what he thinks needs to be changed.

"If this diaper was any smaller, I could taste it" Branch grits out annoyed his tail giving a irritated flick. It was hard enough putting it on without the tail but trying to fit it through was a nightmare. "That’s why I don’t wear one of those. It’s a hard fit to pull off" Tiny Diamond says from the drivers seat.

"Really great note, John Dory. Super helpful. Thanks,thanks. Now I have a creative note for you. Stop being bossy!"Ckay says annoyed. This is just like what happened 20 years ago! Did JD not change at all?! He is litterally doing it all over again!

"What? I’m not being bossy. I’m helping us be better" JD tries to explain himself. He really doesn't want to be bossy. To be the thing that got them to break up in the first place but it seems old habits die hard even after 20 years.

"No,no, dude.You’re forcing us to be perfect,

just like you always have,so we can hit the perfect family harmony" Clay says his temper rising. He is normally a pretty collected troll but JD always had managed to get on his nerves whether intentionally or unintentionally.

"Yeah I'm doing this so we can rescue Floyd" JD explains to the group. "Is it? Or is this all just so you can tell people what to do again?" Bruce asks his eyes narrowing. "What?" Jd asks shocked that Spruce would even say such a thing. He doesn't want to tell others what to do again. He wants to put that part of him behind him,lock it away and throw away the key.

"Guys, guys.This isn’t helpful right now. Let’s all maybe take five, huh?" Poppy asks as she can tell its getting really tense in the room and it's going to explode if this argument isn't stopped. She can also tell that Branch isn't liking this one bit,judging by his lowered ears and quivering tail.

'No no no this is just like what happened 20 years ago. Please just stop,please' Branch mentally begs them. It was happening all over again! He begins to take some deep breaths to try and calm down and to not have a panic attack right now as that's the last thing he needs.

"This isn’t gonna work if you keep on being the same old John Dory" Bruce says wanting to get it through his brothers thick skull that things are different now. They weren't teenagers anymore,they were adults with lives now.

"Yeah. We’ve all changed.Bruce settled down.

Branch is slightly taller, with zero glasses,fluffier and has a tail.And I’m a licensed CPA. Put some respect on my name, fool!" Clay exclaims his temper rising even more it's taking alot in him to not sock JD in the face right now.

"Well, I’m not allowed to change. I’m the oldest. I had to be the leader" Jd says,his brothers had no idea what it was like to be the oldest,the leader, just how much pressure and stress he was under even as a teenager.

"You love bossing us around. Just admit it"Bruce scoffs while rolling his eyes. JD was floored. He loved to boss them around?! Glitter no! He hated doing it back then and even now! "Why do you think I moved to the middle of nowhere? So I didn’t have to be in charge of anyone. Four little brothers is a lot of responsibility! You had no idea what stress i was under at that age! But I still took care of you guys because your my brothers!" JD exclaims angry.

"Why do you think I left? So no one would treat me like you did! I had body image issues for months! It took Brandi who knows how long to get me to relax and enjoy myself and not worry abou my image!" Bruce tells JD. He really needed to know just how much his perfect shtick messed him up mentally for so long.

JD's ears lower in sadness,he had no idea just how badly he messed up and now the consequences of his actions are now showing themselves. "You know what, Spruce-" JD starts before realizing his mistake. "Its Bruce!" Clay corrects him. "Thank you Clay!" Bruce says finally someone corrects Jd on his new name. He knows it's going to take a while for some people to get used to a new name,but still!

"Guys. We can’t forget about Floyd" Branch says hoping this will cease the argument. "Look, Branch is right. We’re here for Floyd.

Let’s just get this done and we can go our separate ways." JD says and the others agree.

"Wait what?" Branchs asks as his ears lower. His brothers are just going to leave him again? After all this they are just going to up and leave? AGAIN?!

"What? The mission’s the mission.You didn’t think we’d all live together when this was all over, did you? Singing songs and roasting marshmallows?" JD says. He knows he shouldn't be saying this but he just can't trust himself to be around his brothers again. He is already hurting them again after only being with them for less than 24 hours,it's best to let them go their separate ways to save them from the pain.

"Oh, I’m sorry. Is that funny to you? That I might want us to actually be a family again?"Branch growls out much to his brothers and Poppys surprise. He has never growled before. He knew it was just wishful thinking. Of course they wouldn't want to be a family again. OF COURSE THEY WANTED TO LEAVE HIM ALONE AGAIN!

"Tiny Diamond, pull over. Now." He growls out his tail lashing in anger and the little glitter troll does so not wanting to anger him anymore than he is.

"Branch-" Bruce says wanting to calm down Branch but he is interrupted. "You’re mad at him, but you guys do the exact same thing to me. You all still treat me like the baby of the family. But guess what? I stopped being a baby the day you guys walked out on me,’cause I had to. Then Grandma got eaten, and there was no one else to take care of me. I nearly got eaten by a bergen! I got turned into a rock zombie! Then I got turned into this monster! And guess what? Nobody but Poppy was there for me! This time I'm walking out on you!" Branch yells out his anger of 20 years finally coming to light. His fangs bared ears pinned back and tail lashing,his pupils have shrunk giving him a more feral look. He takes a look at the old hideout plans when he made when he was only 2,back when they were still a family and crumples it up and tosses it on the ground.

The door opens and he takes off running on all fours not caring who saw him at the moment. He needed to get away from them.

The group stares at his retreating figure in sadness before Poppy takes the paper that Branch crumpled up and fixes it. She take a look at it along with the others. It looked like a little hideout. It had all five of them living together underground.

"This is Branch’s bunker. He built this for you guys" Poppy says sad as she realizes that all those extra rooms she saw when she was staying in his bunker was for his brothers. "I.....I didn't know" Jd says shocked as it seems his colors start to become semi more muted as his ears lower. "Guess you never asksed" Poppy simply says before putting the paper in her hair and takes off after Branch on all fours as well.

"Wait a minute,grandma got eaten?" Ckay asks as his brothers look at each other in realization. If grandma got eaten.....

How old was Branch when this happened?

Things from Archie Sonic that I would love to see return in the Mainline Games and/or IDW Sonic!!

Recently, I decided to read some of the Archie Sonic Comic, from like issue 186ish up until the first MegaMan crossover and the reboot, mainly because there were some gaps in my knowledge of those stories. Mainly Issues 198 till 235, which I never got to read as a kid and, I have to say, there were a lot of really interesting concepts during Ian's run of comics before the reboot that I really loved. There was a lot of really interesting concepts I love after the reboot too. I wanna celebrate that. A lot of these concepts and story idea I feel really deserve another chance.

So I wanna make this list of stuff I wanna see return in either for stories in the Mainline Games or the IDW Sonic comics. Before we start, I do wanna add somethings. This post isn't meant to be shitting on IDW and being like "IDW would be better if they did this". I really love the IDW comics and universe. I also know that some of these concepts likely can't be done due SEGA Mandates and I'm not gonna include stuff like "Bring back the Freedom Fighters" because I feel asking to bring back characters isn't gonna be very productive, as much as I would like to see their return. Anyways, let's begin.

The Fate of the ARK

One thing that really inspired this list was this scene right her. We'll talk more about Silver's Future later but for now, let's focus on the ARK. I'm gonna assume anyone reading this knows the story of the ARK from SA2 and Shadow. Sadly, the ARK hasn't really been revisited in the main canon since Shadow, despite how iconic of a set piece it is. In the Archie Comics, we get a look at Silver's future and one of things that may have been the cause of how bad things are is the ARK crashed. Sadly, Archie got rebooted before the writers could go more into it but, from SA2, we know that the ARK was set to crash into the planet if all 7 Chaos Emeralds are placed into it, wiping out all life on the planet. This could be an excellent premise of another Silver adventure, whether it be in the comics or games, where Sonic, Silver and some friends have to stop someone from making the ARK crash into the planet.

Expanding the Eggman Empire/Egg Bosses

Something I've always found a bit lacking in the game canon is how the Eggman Empire itself has been presented. In the games, the Eggman Empire is usually just made up of Eggman, Metal Sonic, Orbot, Cubot, a bunch of robots and (recently) Infinite. It's not really an Empire if it's just one guy and a bunch of robots. The main goal is the conquer the world but we hardly see Eggman actually see what happens when Eggman conquers a place, like what happens to the people who used to live there, besides like Colours and Forces, where the Wisps and Mobians are usually just seen being imprisoned. The Egg Bosses are the perfect solution to this and adds so much to Sonic's World.

The Egg Bosses are Mobians who, either willingly or unwillingly, aligned themselves up with Eggman for whatever reason, becoming commanders of the Eggman Empire. This usually comes about when Eggman has taken over a part of the region and the people living in that region have no choice but to join the Eggman Empire, for their own safety. Not only does this make the Eggman Empire feel more than just one person but it also makes Eggman more a villain himself. It able to portray Eggman as someone to be feared and, I mean, this is a dictator and genocider who is pretty much declaring war against the world.

It also brings up some interesting thoughts about the world. Characters like Maw, Thunderbolt and even Nephthys to a degree joined up with Eggman because they felt it was the right thing to do for the sake of the world, or in Nephthys case, to stop things getting worst later on, meanwhile characters like Grand Battle Kukku are plotting to usurp Eggman, with Clove and Beauregard only working for Eggman to protect family or close ones.

As I said before, having these Egg Bosses also makes Eggman look more threaten, both because he's able to look like a "bigger bad" next to these villains he has command of and, because almost all the Egg Bosses hate Eggman's guts, they are cyberized, a terrifying process in which those who work for Eggman are focus to have parts of their body replaced with cybernetics, with either bombs which will blow if they decide to leave or a locking mechanism that will paralyze their entire body, ready to be locked up.

If either in the game or the IDW comic, I would like to see the Egg Boss concept return. It doesn't even need to be the same characters or use the name "Egg Boss." It would help expand the army of the Eggman Empire, as well as provide some fun bosses for the games I think.

Mobians and Humans living together

This was always a weird hangup I felt the series had. In the case of games between Sonic Adventure & Unleashed, Sonic and friends were the only Mobians, humans made up the NPCs while Mobians were reserved for main characters. Then in Forces and IDW, Mobians made up the background characters, so then Eggman is the only human. I really prefer it when they have the two living together, it makes it seems more normal and, honestly, a better solution than the whole "Two Worlds" explanation.

Eggman Seemingly Defeated

Can I just that I love Issues 198-200? In these 3 issues, Sonic and friends Eggman's main base, the Egg Dome. This including fighting on the outside of the base, involving fighting hoards of the Dark Egg Legion soldiers and Eggman in the Egg Phoenix. After dealing with the outside, Sonic and friends raid the Egg Dome itself, taking different directions, with the Dark Egg Legion seemingly retreating, until they reach the center of the base, where they are blocked off by a barricade, which only Sonic can pass through, giving a "Point of No Return" vibe, Dark Egg Legion soldiers lining up and saluting Sonic. Then Sonic reaches the center and finds Eggman in the Egg Tarantula, starting their final battle which Sonic wins. This defeat is enough for Eggman to lose his sanity, seemingly ending the war Sonic and the Freedom Fighters have been fighting their entire life.

Of course Eggman returns but, god, it's just such a memorable couple of issues. There's a real sense of finality to it. I would a sequence like this in the games, something that feels like truly ending the Eggman Empire and defeating them once and for all. Of course, it wouldn't be the end, Sonic games are always needing to be made which would lead to...

The New Rulers of the Eggman Empire

In the comics after the defeat of Eggman, the Eggman Empire is taken over by some of it's Commanders, the Iron Queen and Iron King, who rules the Empire as their own until they are defeated and Eggman's return.

I love the idea that even if the Eggman, there will always be someone there to take his place. The games could do this by having Neo Metal or Infinite take his place. Hell, IDW did have Neo Metal take over but I think what made that less interesting was that Neo Metal wasn't doing it for himself, he was doing it for Eggman. I think this would work well if a concept like the Egg Boss was introduced in the games, maybe have one of the characters part of that group take over OR have a lot of the more ambitious Egg Bosses war against each other to take command, until eventually Eggman returns and puts them in line.

Silver's Future

Silver is one of the most recurring characters, who always joins the gang when his future is in trouble. The problem is that we never see his future besides 06. We have no idea what Silver's future is currently until it's in danger and, even then, we never see it.

We see Silver's Future in both continuities of the Archie Comic, with two different takes. Pre-SGW has a destroyed city vibe, like 06 but less lava. Post-SGW brought a whole new take where people are ruled by a corrupt council where people are put into class groups, and security robots will arrest if you are not at your job at the right time. They even re-contextualize Silver's bracelets as cuffs that the robots can activate. With Silver being my favourite character as a kid, I remember being obsessed with this new world and story, wanting to know more.

I'm not saying they would need to copy this world exactly but it would be nice if they gave us a concrete and consistence look for Silver's Future.

The Heroic Metal Sonic

Right before the SGW, we were introduce to Shard the Metal Sonic. His story is that he was the original Metal Sonic, the one that raced Sonic in Stardust Speedway. He appeared later in the comic, where Sonic made him realized there was more to life than just being Eggman's killing machine. He seemingly died, but was rebuilt to serve as a member the Secret Freedom Fighters.

This one would be tricky to be included. It worked in the Archie comic as they had been many Metal Sonics throughout the series, each one getting destroyed. Meanwhile, there's only officially been one Metal Sonic in the games made by Eggman (two if we count Classic and Modern). Admittedly, Gemerl fits Shard's personality and does need to be used more in the games but having it be Metal Sonic is just a cooler concept.

I think a solution to this is that we have Metal Sonic 1.0 made by Eggman and, in Rivals 2, we have Metal Sonic 3.0 by Eggman Nega from the future. But what about Metal Sonic 2.0? I think we could have a game where after Metal Sonic fails, Eggman builds a replacement, being 2.0, which would give reason to Metal Sonic wanting to revolt, which could lead to a redemption? While I am loving the IDW comics, I do really miss a lot of what both Archie continuities offered. I haven't mention the some other concepts and stories I liked that really focused on certain characters such as Naugus, Geoffrey St. John, Dimitri etc. Maybe I'll talk about that another day...

Cards

Lily: Sorry for this one being late, I was busy yesterday and didn't have time to post this properly.

D&F: This fic is less lovey-dovey. Though it was fun to make and different!

Card games are weirdly complicated yet provide the most exciting fun in a competitive sense. Monty isn’t big on card games, he’s a golf player. Though, he’d be lying if he said that it didn’t get his wires surging with adrenaline. The looks on everyone’s faces when he manages to win a round, and the amount of gloating he can do after it.

…Too bad those moments are rare.

Hence, why the animatronic gator isn’t too keen on playing card games that much. He almost always loses. Almost, as the bassist had a win here and there. He HATES playing against Roxy because her competitive streak comes out in full force. 

She’s a sore loser AND a sore winner.

Whenever he manages to beat her, the robotic wolf would go off on him. Very colorful insults get thrown that, even with their censor program on, did little to block such phrases that clearly used no swear words or anything the dumb thing considers offensive. If she wins, the keytarist rubs it in Montgomery’s face HARD and will still mention his defeat for weeks in the most subtle ways. Which is why the green glamrock had been secretly practicing his card playing skills online.

Some humans within the staff managed to set up a private card game online to play on their break. It can be played alone, or with others through servers. Monty always played on the private server, as he doesn't want anyone to know he is using it. Here, he felt like he was getting a hang of the game…with the help of a tutorial. Slowly, but over time the robotic alligator was understanding it. To the point that Montgomery is able to get a few wins off of the computer.

Then comes GARY.

Gary, the online user who suddenly sent Monty a request to play together. It startled the glamrock gator, no one was supposed to be playing the game during work hours. Much less be using the very server he was logging into. Yet, the bassist played along and agreed to play with the user.

That ended up being Montgomery’s biggest mistake.

Every. Single. Game against Gary ended with the robotic alligator losing. The guy was just too good, and the animatronic alligator hated it.

He was determined to beat Gary by any means necessary. Every free time that the robotic alligator had was spent on mastering the cards. Now, Monty is ready.

Logging on the server through his interface, the gator animatronic is greeted by two other users: Geologamaps and UrsineStars135. Geologamaps is on the left with a squared image of a globe, while UrsineStars135 is placed on the right with a squared image of a starry night. “A full house…” Montgomery crossed his arms. It’s closing hours, but a few of the workers remained to finish some business within the shops of the megaplex. 

[ So, what should we play? ]

[ Goldfish? We havent play it in a while. ]

The bassist ignored the text bubbles, he was more focused on his target. Gary. “Where is he?” The robotic gator’s tail switches impatiently as he walks around the miniature golf table, “He better not have left early.” A ping catches the robotic gator’s attention.

: GaryvEEE65 HAS LOGGED IN :

“Finally!” Montgomery exclaimed. He quickly sits down and texts.

[ Ur late GARY. Wat took u?! ]

A square-shaped image of a smiley face appears across from the glamrock gator. [ Ah KajuIn1O. Nice to see you again ☺. ] reads a text bubble above the smiley picture, [ Ready to play? ] Smug as always, the cheeky user. The green glamrock huffs, [ Watevr! Just choose a game already! ] He’s ready, tonight WILL be the night that Gary is going DOWN. Another text bubble appears above the other user.

[ Hey Ursine! Lovely night we’re having♥ ]

Monty groaned. There Gary goes flirting with Ursine, again. He ALWAYS does this! It annoys the robotic gator, because all of that flirting takes up time from the game! And URSINE, whoever this user is, it is SOO clear that they like Gary. Every single flirt the guy throws their way receives a “♥” at the end of their sentences. It’s cheesy, it makes Montgomery’s eyes roll, and it irritates him. That, and Ursine keeps bringing up space facts. Which reminds the green glamrock of Freddy…

His eyebrows furrow. Has Ursine been hanging out with Freddy? Would make sense, the bear animatronic seems to be obsessed with that kind of stuff. Or, maybe Ursine is a Freddy fan-

[ Earth to Kaju! We’re waiting for you to accept ☺! ]

The bassist notices the message from Gary. At the bottom of the screen is a pop-up message that reads, “Accept the game? Yes / No” [ Oh. Sry. ] Monty texted before pressing the yes button. The game begins.

Geo is selected as the dealer to deal the cards on the virtual table. ‘Okay, Monty,’ the robotic alligator cracks his neck, ‘time to beat Gary. Once and for all.’ His hand raises up in front of him: Two queens, two fours, two twos, a seven, a six, an eight, two jacks, a nine, and a five. Huh…a bit more cards in the animatronic alligator’s hand than usual, but whatever. Another message suddenly appears, before the glamrock.

“How much will you bet?”

Weird, why would the game ask that? Isn’t the betting feature turned off? With a shrug, Montgomery looks at his choices and chooses ten. Each text bubble reveals what everyone betted. Geologamaps bets three, UrsineStar135 bets three, and finally Gary bets three. Hah, only three? Losers. When the green glamrock’s text bubble appears to show his bet, the reactions from everyone confuse him. [ Um, Kaju, maybe you should redo your bet. ] texted Ursine. Despite there being no audio behind those words, it is clear that the user wrote it with concern. 

[ Too high. Go down :( . ] Geo texted. [ Yeah buddy you have it too high. Lower it to a reasonable number for yourself ☺. ] texts Gary. Monty snaps out of his confusion. [ Wat? U think I cant win 10 points or smthn?! I show all of u! Just watch! ] He angrily texted. He’ll show them! Getting ten points will be a breeze for the bassist! In fact, the glamrock gator will get far more than ten! Like, a hundred points or something!

……Why…is Montgomery LOSING?!

He doesn’t understand, he’s playing the game, right?! Right?! Then, why does the robotic alligator only have ONE POINT OUT OF TEN?! Geo had gotten all three points, Ursine had gotten FOUR points out of three! Gary? …That cursed user has FOUR. POINTS. OUT OF THREE, TOO! Monty sat there in shock. He’s down one card.

The jack of spades.

“I don’t get it…” He muttered as he stared at his point again. One. Just one point out of ten. The dread begins to sink in, the green glamrock is going to lo-NO! He fiercely shakes his head. Montgomery can still win this! Just play this last card and hope for the best! “C’mon card…” He utters to himself, “help me win.” Ursine sends out a nine (♠), and Geo throws out a four (♠). When it’s Gary’s turn, the user uses a six (♥). Monty’s eyes grew.

He has the stronger card!

The bassist sends out his jack into the pile, and the stack is automatically given to him. “YES!!” The animatronic alligator cried out with excitement. His body jumps off the couch as his fists punches the air. He did it! HE finished the game! HE WON the game! HE BEAT-

The results pop up.

Montgomery eagerly reads the verdict. The scores are tallied up, and according to it Monty and Geo had gotten…-38 total points. His toothy grin shrinks as the enthusiasm within him fades.

…What?

“You lost.” the text reads at the top, “You did not collect all of your bet.”

…..He lost?

The glamrock reads further. Gary and Ursine’s total points are 62 points.

Freddy can hear a muffled scream from outside of his green room. He knows the reason behind it, Monty is about to have a temper tantrum in his green room. Thankfully, the girls were hanging out in Mazercise, so they are far away from the upcoming mess. The robotic bear sent a message, [ You could have gone easy on him. ]

[ Sorry! I got caught up in the game ☺! ]

A small smile appears on his face as he leans back against his couch. [ I know “Gary”, but you need to learn to have some restraint. ] The glamrock bear was introduced to the game by DJ, who had a fun time beating the employees under his online disguise. He didn’t even find out about the online rivalry the bassist had with the music man’s persona until the robotic spider brought it up in their casual conversation. The lead singer pauses for a moment, [ I do not think Monty even knew we were playing Spades. ] 

Spades, a trick-taking card game in which spade cards always trumps. It can be played in pairs or alone against three other players. The rules revolve around being able to succeed in filling out one’s bet. Each player sets the number that they plan on collecting before the start of the game. That becomes their goal in how many “tricks”, or piles of cards, they need in order to win. Each player throws a card into the center of the table. The card with the highest number in the pile, goes to said player that used it. Spade cards are the strongest, and easily overpowers any card that isn’t another spade. In pairs, the player and their partner must help each other meet their set number before the other team. The game is over when all players have no cards left in their hand. 

The game isn’t played by the staff, mostly due to the majority not understanding how to play the game properly and the others not wanting to be accused of gambling during work. However, it was found in the list of games that was available, and DJ was eager to try it out after playing it solo for a while. Though, the glamrock leader will admit that it took some explaining what bet meant in the game for him to be okay with playing it at all. [ Well we did try to tell him. ] texts the music man, [ I mean we’re playing in pairs. ] True, Freddy was paired with the robotic spider while Geologamaps, who was Mapbot, was paired with Montgomery.

[ He made me lose >:( . ] texts the animatronic worker. The poor bot got the short end of the stick when it came to choosing partners. The disc jockey had begged her to let him and Freddy pair up. Being a good friend, and fellow supporter of their relationship, Map agreed. What no one expected was for Monty to royally screw up at the game. He played almost all of his stronger cards, first. Then used up the rest of them without even realizing it. It was luck that the glamrock alligator managed to win at least TWO piles in the end. Sadly, that mattered little when the robotic gator failed to gather enough bets to meet the quota, he himself had set up.

[ We know, Geo. ] texts the robotic bear. Truly, he feels for the S.T.A.F.F. Bot. She was trying so hard to get Montgomery to listen to her in the whole ordeal, yet the gator animatronic had tuned everyone out. [ He. Made. Me. Lose. ] She texted. The emphasis alone tells the orange glamrock that Map is still furious. [ I am sorry, I will pair with Monty next time. ] He offered. It isn’t much, but it’s the least that Freddy can do.

[ Better >:( . ]

[ Hey now don't be so harsh on him, it’s a game. Live a little ☺. ] The glamrock leader’s ears wiggle as he reads DJ’s text. His hero. Another text bubble pops up, [ Okay she’s giving me an earful so I gotta go. ] Oh…she’s personally there with the giant animatronic. That can’t be good. His ears pick up a muffled sound of a large object coming in contact with a solid surface. Oh no. [ I have to go, too! Monty is about to wreck his room! ] Freddy frantically texted before closing the game. He rushes out of his green room to stop the enraged glamrock alligator from decimating as many things that are within his reach.

Sonic Boom x Reader

Requested by @blackace1993: Conversation was accidentally deleted but from what I remeber of it, they wanted hc for the Sonic Boom characters who has a partner who frequently gets into trouble and/or captured by Eggman. They didn't specify which character they wanted so I just did all of them minus Tails. Hope you enjoy!

Sonic:

There's no denying it

Sonic was smitten

The moment you set foot on the island Sonic was taken aback by you

To him, you were drop dead gorgeous with a great personality so I guess you could say it was love at first sight for him

This boy is a fool for you

It's actually quite funny watching him zip across the island at the slightest remark that you need something

"Man, you what? I'm feeling kind of hungry"

"Say no more!" He'll say as he zooms away and reappears seconds later with a chili dog in hand

"Uhhhh"

But, unfortunately for you, being in any sort of relationship with Sonic is not wothout complication

Eggman sees you as a new oppurtunity to best Sonic and ends up taking you hostage on a regular basis

The first time it happens, Sonic all but destroys Eggman's fortress looking for you

But after it continuously happening, it starts getting kinda old

"Greeting Sonic! I see you've come to rescue your little girlfriend"

"Yeah, yeah. Can we just we just get to the part where I clobber you?"

It gets to the point where Sonic starts teaching you how to defend yourself so you can hold your own against Eggman

Not that he doesn't mind rescuing, it's just he can't always be there to protect

With the amount of times they've had to save you, the team are already very familiar with you and consider you apart of their friend group

But as you get better is self-defence, Sonic officially announces you as part of the team and you start joining them on missions

While Sonic does tend to stick to your side more than his other teammates during battle, he's glad to have you fighting alongside them

After all, he's happy to spend as much time with you as possible, even if that means having to bash Eggman's robots to do so

Knuckles:

You're not a bad person

So what if you have anger issues

So what if you get into fights from time to time

So what if you've been in trouble with the cops before

Doesn't mean you're a bad person, it just means you've.... got some issues

One day you're not in the best mood and have already had a pretty shitty day, and you're just a ticking time bomb waiting to explode

So it's no wonder that when a big guy bumps into you and causes you to drop the tray of food you're holding, you go off on him

Unfortunately for you, this guy is huge, a tall red echidna with bulking arms that looks like he could punch you into next week

But you're not one to back down from a fight, you've beaten up guys twice your size before and you're not afraid to do it again

"Woah, hey, sorry about that, didn't see you there."

What, is he dense?! Who does this guy think he is barrelling into anyone he pleases just because he's big? You bet he was just gonna walk off without even helping you. Well, you'd show him!

Without warning, you lunged at the echidna with the intent of knocking him over the same way he almost did to you

But you underestimated his initial strength and reflexes and he caught you midair with your legs kicking and your hands clawing for his face

"Woah, dude chill! I said I was sorry!"

He just kinda holds you up in air at arms length with you kicking and screaming until you eventually tire yourself out

The echidna stares at you cautiously

"Are you good now?"

After a moment, you reluctantly nod, and he gently sets you back on your feet

He then carefully leans down without takong his eyes off you and grabs your burger which is still wrapped in foil and reaches it out to you

"How about we start over? I'm Knuckles."

You thought after that encounter, that was the last you'd see of him

But one day, you've gotten yourself into another fight, and to say you're losing would be an understatement

It's once again, a guy twice your size and he's absolutely beating the crap out of you

But by some miracle, Knuckles happens to be walking by and immediately notices you

He steps in to save you, and the guy you're fighting knows about Knuckles being part of Sonic's team and doesn't even bother attempting to fight him

Knuckles takes your half conscious body to Tails's work shop where they fix you up

After that, Knuckles refuses to leave you alone

Even if you try to leave, he always ends finding you to make sure you don't get into more trouble

He helps you find outlets for your anger by sparring and working out with him

You grow a soft spot for Knuckles that you'd never thought you'd have for anyone

He's your big goofball that somehow always manages to calm you down and get you out of whatever trouble your in

Though it's beyond you why anyone would want to put up with you, eespecially a lovable ray of sunshine like Knuckles, you're so grateful that you have someone like himin your life to keep you in check

A/N: Might make more hcs for that because I absolutely love the idea of big, strong goofball Knuckles having a little ball of pure rage as a partner.

Amy Rose:

Some would say you're a pacifist

Some would say you care too much

Some would say you're too nice

But you like to think that you're just trying to do good in the world

You're definitely the type of person that hates conflict and wants everyone to get along, and you're more often than not a bit of a pushover

You like to give people benefit of the doubt and prefer to see the good in people, although sometimes, this affects you negatively

A kindly looking (or at least in your opinion) wolf with a showman's top hat and a certain glint his eyes one day stops you in your tracks and asks you ever so politely if you would kindly lend him some money to help feed his family

Of course, you're quick to help, but little do you know that this is none other than T.W. Barker himself, and he's been watching you carefully for some time

He notices the way you jump at the oppurtunity to help someone in need, and he being a con man at heart, decides to take advantage of that

But before you can lend the man all the money you have in your pocket, a certain pink hedgehog decides to interfere

"Hey, you leave her alone Barker! Go find your own ATM machine!"

Amy Rose herself stands not far behind you, hammer in hand and ready for trouble

"N-now, now, let's not be too hasty. I was simply accepting a generous donation from this unsuspecting-- I mean self-less young lady."

"Yeah right. Beat it before I hammer you into next Tuesday, punk!"

You're in utter shock as the seeming wolf in sheep's clothing (pun intended) makes his escape

"Gotta look out for scumbags. Seems this village is getting more and more of them everyday. Anyways, I'm Amy, what's your name?"

Since then, Amy keeps a close eye on you to make sure you don't become prey to anymore scam artists

Now Amy will never admit she has anger issues, but she does get... irritated from time to time

On more than one occasion, you're there to help her calm down and have a sleepover planned or a spa day for when things get particularly rough for her

Whenever she needs help choosing which paint to redo her wall with, or which dress she should wear to a party, she calls you up, because no matter what you're interests are or how inconvenient the timing might seem, you're ready to help a friend, even with mundane things

Amy has you become a part of the Sonic family, and while you never do join them in battles, you help keep the peace between the team whenever there's an argument

And Amy always makes sure your overly caring attitude isn't being taken advantage of

No matter the time or the place, Amy knows she can always count on you, and you know she's always got your back

Sticks:

Well this is quite the predicament you've gotten yourself into

A lot of people would descibe you as clumsy, but you knew you just bad luck

And to prove just that, here you were dangling upside from a rope trap after deciding to take a liesure stroll through the forest

What are we, nomads? Who sets out traps in the middle of the woods anymore?!

After about 20 minutes, the blood is rushing to your head and you're starting to feel faint

But just as you think that your bad luck will finally be the end of you, figure bursts from the bushes with a fierce battle cry

It's a badger girl with a boomerang clutched in her paw, ready for a fight

But after a moment she realizes just who's gotten caught up in her trap

"Hey, what's the big idea?! Why're you in my snare?"

"Why am I in your snare? Why did you put out a snare you loon?!"

After about 5 minutes of arguing, Sticks reluctantly cuts you down, begrudgingly explaining that she set out a trap for any woodland monsters

You run into her again on another walk, crossing a small stream before tripping on one of the stepping stones and almost falling in before a furry arm wraps around your waist

"You outta be more careful out here. The wilderness is no place to be a klutz."

"Hey, I'm not a klutz. I just have bad luck is all."

And what more to gain the attention of a superstitious badger than the possibility of supernatural forces at play

"You could've been hexed by a witch. Or worse, there could be a vengeful spirit after you! We gotta get you an exorcist!"

"I'm fine, I'm just unlucky. Always have been always will be."

"We should still burn some sage in your home just to be sure."

You let Sticks do what she wants with you, after all, her superstitious perspective is a nice change from everyone just thinking your clumsy

You think her attempts to "cleanse" you are endearing, she tries something new everyday, and you end up learning a thing or two about survival and the corruptedness of politics from her

Weeks later, her attempts slowly dwindle down, and she just comes to accept she's just gonna have to keep an extra close eye on you, especially when she sets out booby traps

The time y'all have spent together, although it was somewhat motivated by Sticks not wanting to get whatever curse you exposed her to, lead to y'all having a close bond

Everyone has their quirks, she's paranoid and you're clumsy, but you two always manage to work things out

And that's the beauty of a relationship
