#there is a really cool trend on TikTok rn where people pretend they're in a DCU city#often Gotham right#and I was hit with it and had like#it was a weird panic attack in the way that it was a panic attack but mixed with the overwhelming need to create#and not in like a I want to create way#but in a 'if I don't do this...'#anyway and then I did create! I made fake websites and a brochure and podcast and article and graphs and I had SO much fun#and I filmed and edited it again had so much fun#and then I posted it#and immediately went back to sleep#so that I wouldn't stay up obsessing over it#but#it's dead in the water#great interaction level. great retention rate. good stats all in all#but it's dead.#and I had hoped#that by participating in a trend? it would lift me from this algorithmic slump#where everything (mostly) has great stats but goes no where#when just two months ago it was the opposite#and having a dead account is great in that I can post stuff about Peter Pan and niche interests#but when I want something to do well?#ffs
