"Still an ass, I see," rolls off her tongue without thinking, eyes rolling fondly. There's no malice behind Mauri's words. This is their usual dance, and despite time apart, it comes too easily. The corner of her mouth quirks upward, and she leans against the counter, propping her chin on her hand. "Your lucky I find it charming."

The fact that she can still decipher Henry's tone - notice the smallest of expressions he hides well to anyone else - settles nicely in her chest, making it's home there. Mauri pouts.

"Momo, I've got weapons for prosthetics. I think I can do at least a little bit of self protecting." And while her tone is playful and light, she still reaches out to give his arm a comforting squeeze.
