hi hello from guy that just recently started replaying wotww. game good :) i have. definitely not been scouring your blog (it's Very Good and informative). anyways have you ever read warrior cats. my curse is to make wc aus for everything (has not caught up in years) and after reading some of your dotdd posts. "morningstar" is a kickass wc name for oliver and i will never top that. rest assured i WILL draw this one day and it WILL be posted to the art blog i'll make at. some point - owl anon <3

ok my hot take, making oliver's car the reward for beating the conducter's post game quest was so lame because like, its fun to drive around a bit, but considering there's not much else to do in the game after that point and you already have fast travel and the dragon (which is more fun to ride around on imo), all you can do is ride around the car for a couple minutes before the novelty wears off

And tbh that's probably my only complaint with the game its a masterpiece

HONESTLY having now played dotdd i think the entire post game for wotww is a little underwhelming. or specifically the conductor part i think the horace stuff is fun. and the smiley and surly quest is one of my favourites in the game. so

(fun fact: all the post game quests were originally free dlc in the original japanese release, including the conductor, older horace, smiley and surly's weapons quest, the knights... the reason people over here don't know about this is because the english version came out after all of these quests dropped)

(once all of these quests were made available japan got an all-in-one edition of wotww, which included all dlc quests, extra familiar tickets, easy mode (yeah! easy mode wasn't originally in the game!!! how wild is that), and THREE FAMILIARS THAT THE ENGLISH RELEASE DIDN'T GET and i'm SO MAD ABOUT IT)

like in dotdd the post game. it's hardly even a post game it's just More Game. a ton of things tie into it all through out the main story - tombstone trail, the three stones, the random woman who's calling for her child through out the game that's only even relevant after beating shadar - it's basically like. if the white witch arc in wotww was SIGNIFICANTLY longer and tied into the rest of the game better.

the post game is also one of my only criticisms of wotww honestly. i think it's alright for what it is but knowing what it Could Have Been... it stings man. the solosseum isn't even tied into ANYTHING. the coliseum in dotdd is tied to the post game COMPLETELY. also you get a rival. like imagine how much better the solosseum would be if you had a little bitch boy to come out and mock you after every round

anyway. considering for dotdd's post game you get an entire new wand and spell and lore i also think the car is a bit of a let down
