Anyways short answer for people who don't wanna see the essay: organ harvesting theory. This is about shidou.

Idk how prevalent it is rn since not many people even talk about shidou but it was prevalent enough in June when I got into milgram that I believed it for a bit anyways the rest in under the cut cuz I'm insane sorrg

SO the main reason I think the theory is WRONG (hyperbole‼️) is because I just think it's unrealistic. Man works in a hospital in Japan. How would he pull it off. Scuff an operation bad enough to cause braindeath/death and I'm p sure they suspend your medical licence, if he participated in an organ harvesting operation pre-family-accident his case would then be black and white cuz he was doing it in complete sound mind with no regard for human life. Also it wouldn't justify the extreme reaction he's had to realizing, specifically, "what I've been robbing people of" (t1 voice trailer), and he wouldn't have as heavy a focus on the relatives' feelings and reactions. At least story writing wise it'd make less sense since it doesn't allude to anything if that's the end goal? Imo at least. Idk maybe this is because I really like tragedies in media. Also because it'd be a really disproportionately severe crime compared to every other direct murderer???? Like. We have strangled someone, stabbed someone, bludgeoning, bludgeoning, kicked someone to death. Organ harvesting looks cartoony in this context. It's also not a very prevelant issue in Japan iirc.

Also to prove my point further. If we use this theories the murders would be

ALSSOOOOO funny point. If he's not directly involved in his murder (as in, unintentional and indirect) that makes 5 direct and 5 indirect. Silly.

Also also his murder seems somewhat tied to how he feels about his job itself ("I wanted to contribute to society (about his career choice)/I had thought my work was a contribution to society", use of past tense) and to me it reads like hes disillusioned w his job esp since his reason for getting a highly sought after, high paying and high social ranking job is "I wanted to contribute to society". Doctors with that empathy can be affected by the death around them more severely and I think that's a fun topic to look at

I count this under "common fandom opinion" cuz it was common enough around June (whenyours truesly got into milgram) that I believed it. I mean I introduced shidou to my friend (hello clown) as "maybe Dr malpractice. Organ harvesting dude" and said friend (hello again clown) is also the one who's heard me bash the organ harvesting theory like 6 times at least now so. Yippee.

TK bites at the top of Carlos' left pec, muffling soft moans into his skin as Carlos fucks into him. The right side is covered by his husband's hand, blunt nails digging in almost viciously.

Carlos’ chest has been bruised for weeks at this point- the second one mark fades, TK is replacing it with another. Every time the heavy fabric of his vest rubs against a bruise, he winces, and he's fairly certain his co-workers are starting to notice. He's barely even allowed to wear a shirt at home- every time he tries, TK looks like a dog whose bone was stolen. Even when he does manage to put a shirt on, TK still pulls at his nipples, or squeezes his pecs, or even just stares.  

He's always either sucking, biting, licking, staring at, squeezing, poking, or resting his head on Carlos' chest. And, frankly, Carlos is a bit worried that he'll never be able to put on a shirt without wincing again. 

Not, of course, that Carlos doesn't enjoy his husband's obsession. Anything that has TK dragging him into bed, shoving him against a wall, or otherwise demanding immediate fucking is positive in his books, even if his dick is sometimes a bit worn out from how often he's been coming lately.

well anyway! on a happier note i wanna share some of what i've done with my italy ukagaka ghost so far:

there's an affection system. if you're nice to him, he likes you more and more. if you're mean to him, he becomes scared of you. the more he likes you, the harder it is for him to Not like you. (not sure how far i'll take the negative affection, tho. a lot of extra coding for something i don't even plan on using myself. just thought it'd be a silly lil extra thing. also not gonna lie i have a thing for seeing him afraid. he's so cute 🥰) also i added an option to check his affection level to make it easier for testing. lots of lil bits of code to reset values or check what they're at to make sure everything's working properly

he can blink when his eyes are actually open (which is rare). all his poses also have talking animations (which took Ages because i gave him 45 diff poses).

you can hit him, pet his head, boop his nose, stroke or pull his curl, rub his stomach, hug him, hold his hand, kiss him, or touch him in an Inappropriate Area. how he responds depends on how much he likes you, and certain acts increase or decrease affection, as well.

depending on the pronouns you pick, he'll give you different compliments. (figured this out entirely by myself so i'm proud of that ehehe.)

i added in a few different things so far, like if you boot him up on christmas day, he gives u a gift! and he can wish u happy birthday or tell u when it's his own birthday.

currently trying to figure out how to create a mode where he takes a nap <333 which i figured out except i need to figure out how to make it so only his nap dialogue plays in that mode. if he's napping he should not be speaking to u obviously. just going zzzzzzzzz.

but anyway maybe it'll be finished enough to release a beta soon! :3

anyway zzzzzzzzz at the people who were babbling about how it would be sooooo inappropriate to make a joke abt something like this but were always ever so comfortable discussing shit like who she lost her virginity to, writing theories about what "losing her girlhood" means, whether she was engaged or secretly married every couple weeks, overanalyzing every piece of jewelry each of them wore (including something they knew was an inheritance from a close relative who had recently passed away), hypothesizing about pregnancy and miscarriage, etc etc as though they were never part of the problem... this fandom is always so eager to jump to the conclusion that any discussion about fame/the public eye/being famous/rumours/etc are about "the media" or swifties on other platforms or the general public at large but never willing to spend a single second on self reflection huh
