- how do they generally get along with most npcs? do they have favorites, or a best friend?
- what do they think about forbidden magics? should it be taught?
- what kind of wand do they have? what does it say about their fighting styles?
- do they trust other people right away or are they skeptical at first meeting?
BWHWYSHS!!!!!! IVE BEEN MEANING TO TALK ABOUT THEM A BIT MORE..... ๐Ÿ˜ณ moreso my scions than anything bc most of them traverse on their journey.... alone </3 who did this to you [is the one who did this to them]
so ill be talkin about my scions <3 more beneath the cut
- how do they generally get along with most npcs? do they have favorites, or a best friend?
THEY ALL GENERALLY GET ALONG WITH MOST NPCS... since most of them make this journey alone most of the time they cant really call others their friend... ๐Ÿ˜ญ
i do think calamity is . so heartbreakingly lonely and craves companionship so even npcs who are kinder than most like dyvim she hesitates to call a friend.... especially when she thinks she failed in her duty in protecting him u_u//
jasmyn [myth] and alura [death] are different because while alura sets her sights on gathering more knowledge and seeks out comfort through reading jasmyn wants to be the most insufferable hero as possible. my little bastard scion....
- what do they think about forbidden magics? should it be taught?
OOH... this is actually such a spicy question sometimes i forget i wrote it LMFAOO
calamity... does not like shadow. like at all. she deeply regrets learning about it in the first place and she thinks its a magic that should definitely not be taught ๐Ÿ’” shes a bit of a hypocrite bc she relies on it so much and her self-doubt and hatred of shadow makes the backlashes worse.. in a way she wants the secrets of shadow to die with her so ...thats how she generally feels about it :""D
jasmyn thinks calamity is a weak coward for her views and generally thinks positively of shadow... not that she'll disrespect the use of it cus shes 100% aware of the kind of damage it will do to her if she gets in over her head BUT. yeah. she thinks more people should be aware of it but only for superficial reasons like getting stronger rivals and enemies as a result </3
alura has a pretty neutral stance on shadow. definitely thinks the fear mongering surrounding shadow plays into how people interact with it (i.e. the whole situation with morganthe). she believes death magic is the closest thing (or a parallel of sorts) to shadow so while shes doesnt think positively or negatively she still has a pretty stable connection with it.
- what kind of wand do they have? what does it say about their fighting styles?
OOO the first thing i usually do after designing a character is also give them a weapon and sort out how they fight/arrange their deck...
calamity uses a lance for both long range + short range attacks. i think most of my wizards rely on their magic for the most part... minus the ones who do know how to fight
alura uses a grimoire and mainly focuses on long ranged attacks since shes not quite a hard hitter like storm or fire. i think this fits well considering she relies on her own observations and also contributes to the general spookiness and mystery that she likes to perceive herself as...
JASMYN DEFINITELY HAS SOME... GAUNTLETS. her fighting style is very aggressive and in your face so she knows how to use magic + how to fight. she definitely overestimates her abilities and has a tendecy to end up getting her shit kicked in when things get a little too messy for her.
- do they trust other people right away or are they skeptical at first meeting?
CALAMITY IS... trusting to an extent. on the outside it looks like she gets along well with people, but you can tell by the way she speaks and acts (very lone wolf-ish) that she doesn't really trust anyone. part of that is thanks to the hero syndrome she has where she has to bear every burden of the spiral so she rarely asks for help.
alura is more skeptical but thats a given... she generally takes betrayal on a more serious level, but since shes kinda like a theater buff shes like omg. just like in one of my plays (is stupid)
JASMYN... DOESNT REALLY CARE? definitely not the type to trust people right away but does push enough buttons to see what kinds of reactions she can get. if she pushes enough maybe theyll reveal themselves sooner?? PERHAPS?
