Recent manga readings: Aoi Uroko to Suna no Machi by Yôko Komori
A cute two volumes slice of life story in which a girl comes back to her grandmother's town with her father after her mother left. There are some legends related to the sea in this town and she is haunted by the vague memory of being saved by a mermaid there when she was four.
I really loved the art in this story. The drawing style itself is cute and very nice but it's especially the pages and panels composition that I loved. There's some really beautiful and well chosen angles to portray the daily life and scenery of the town, as well as the more dreamlike sequences showing our main character's inside thoughts.
