what would you say is your most developed oc? does this oc have an embarrassing memory they try to forget? who is this oc closest too and why?

ooooohh well !! i’d say emmett is my most developed oc? you see, i based a lot of emmett’s struggles off my own: abusive household, intense social anxiety, trying to cope w/ his mental illness and fear for the future simultaneously…. needless to say, i connect w/ him more than any of my other ocs and he’s incredibly easy to develop because of this. like, he begins as this withdrawn, cowardly, and downright pitiful individual who can barely handle life as it is. however… nowadays? he’s sarcastic, cunning, and honestly? doesn’t care the opinions other people may have of him. “you despise me? so what, i was the one who started this trend. get to the back of the line, buddy.” 

embarrassing memory? welll… emmett’s academy life wasn’t the greatest. he has a scrapbook of embarrassing memories back when he was a so-called “pushover”. for example, he was humiliated countless times, harmless pranks or not… usually, they left some kind of emotional scar. he… always tries to forget how he was treated in the past, but those memories always come back to haunt him somehow. 

the person emmett is closest to is probably his boyfriend, garin… well, for a proper explanation, they’ve been close ever since they were children. however, an… *incident* shattered that life-long friendship and they distanced themselves from each other for several years… however, they were able to mend that bond and become closer… eventually, that lead to romance–the same feelings emmett has kept locked in the depths of his heart since forever. needless to say, garin is extremely important to him. if there’s anyone who emmett can rely on, it’s him. even if emmett finds himself unlovable and awful in every aspect, garin will always love those flaws…. also, their ship name? emrin. it’s adorable. i love them so much
