Dayamanti Arcano • 1994 • Gryffindor • Parents: Annika Arcano & Tyr Fraye • Gift: Fire & Lightning magic (Evocation)

Tired responsible older sister energy who just wants to look out for herself. Independent but has the weight of grief and the responsibilities of her sisters well-being on her shoulders. She later becomes a blacksmith.

Dafne Arcano • 1997 • Ravenclaw • Parents: Annika Arcano & Tyr Fraye • Gift: Necromancy

Bullied for being weak and weird because of her obsession with history and the dead. She feels like she doesn’t belong in her viking family. In her teenage years she purposely tries to be cold to people to push them away before they can get close and hurt her. In adulthood she becomes the Archmage of a library and researches the forgotten culture of viking wizards from the past.

Siv Arcano-Thorne • 2000 • Slytherin • Parents: Kaari Arcano & Semele Thorne

She takes after her father in more ways than one. She is reckless, carefree and is just here for a good time. Some of her favorite things are music, her truck, and her dragon Zepheline. In adulthood she is an advocate for dragon rights and takes over as Dragonologist at Fossan’s sanctuary.

Dielle Arcano • 2002 • Hufflepuff • Parents: Annika Arcano & Tyr Fraye • Gift: Healing & Shields (Abjuration)

The baby of the three sisters, she is often coddled and also left behind because of the age gap. She also feels a similar way to Dafne that she doesn’t belong, but instead of being weak she feels like she is too girly and soft. She’s determined to prove herself capable of fighting but also that kindness and protection is also valid. In adulthood she proves her skill as a fighter, both offensive and defensive, and becomes captain of a city guard.

Mikael Arcano-Thorne • 2002 • Ravenclaw • Parents: Kaari Arcano & Semele Thorne

Taking after his cousin, he also has a knack for knowledge. He has great fondness for languages and knows dozens by the time he reaches adulthood. Not only a genius, he also has a love for the outdoors and sport. You will often find him in the woods or playing quidditch if his nose isn’t in a book. His favorite books are on languages but his second favorite are those about a certain captain Aquila and his adventures in the sky. In adulthood, he will follow in Aquila’s footsteps and take up the mantle of captain on the same skyship.

Sooo the only oc I’ve really drawn in my new style has been Dafne so how about a poll of who I should do next? I’ve also done Unni in my new style so not including her rip.

PERSONALITY

Child: As a kid, Mikael is pretty carefree and curious about the world. He wanted to join in the annual Yuletide family Quidditch tourney as soon as he could walk and talk. He may fall on the autism scale very slightly. He likes to hang out by himself and focus on his hobbies. He wasn’t super interested in learning combat like the rest of the kids but he still practices with a shortsword to keep in shape for Quidditch. However, he doesn’t like actually fighting someone and prefers peace. He also learns survival skills and tracking from his father and grandfather.

Teenage: He stays the same when a teenager, but even more interested in languages and Quidditch. He plays as a Keeper at Hogwarts and might even become Captain one day. He also becomes Head Boy and Prefect. By the time he finishes Hogwarts, he knows many languages. He doesn’t socialize much so he doesn’t have many friends, but the ones he does have he is loyal to. Mikael is always kind and generous to everyone.

Adulthood: Once he graduates, he attends muggle university (following in his fav cousin Dafne's footsteps) and studies linguistics and history. After that, he will become a Linguist for the Ministry. He might also take jobs on expeditions with various curse breakers or archeologists that hire him.

I should be studying for my art midterm but alas, take these dragon rider AU headcanons instead 😌

Dayamanti's dragon would be like black with cracks that show glowing red lava or fire inside. She can ride it because her Gift is fire. The dragon is a classic fire breather. It would also be bigger than Ryoko who is car sized but not as big as Siv's Zepheline who is closer to the HP dragons size.

Dafne's dragon would be a reanimated skeleton of a dragon from long ago that doesn't exist anymore. Bigger than Ryoko but smaller than Da's fire dragon. Its breath is like a cyan blue green fire, the same color that Dafs magic is.

Dielle's dragon would be smaller. Maybe even a bit smaller than Ryoko? Im thinking it would be like a pale blue or maybe a brown/beige or even a light pale green. Combo of those perhaps? Its breath would be maybe ice??

Siv of course already has a canon dragon. Zepheline is pretty big and is really old and kinda beat up with scars. Shes very old and wise but kind after losing her babies to poachers and being abused for fighting. Her scales are a pearlescent white and her breath is regular fire. I think shes an Antipodean Opaleye?

Mikael would probably like one that is somewhat large. For some reason im imagining a huge lazy slow friendly one that lives deep in pine forests covered in green moss and even snow. Could be cool if its scales looked like rock? For breath either just plain fire or ice. However, a different idea could be a sleek small fast one he can ride while playing quidditch. Perhaps black with yellow and yellow lightning breath? idk

For Lennox im not quite sure so im just gonna take a guess, tell me if im wrong @endlessly-cursed. Im thinking a deep red purple?? Prob around Ryoko size give or take. It would obv have to be immune to her necromantic death touch 🤡 Maybe dafne can help there. Would be sick if it had a black flame breath.

How about 10 facts about Mikael? 🤗

While Siv is a copy of Kaari and Lennox is a copy of Semele, Mikael is a good mix of the two. He's got Semeles intelligence and Kaaris looks

He is 50% nerd and 50% jock. But hes the kindest quiet boy.

He probably can read, write, and speak many languages by the time he finishes Hogwarts. His favorite is ancient norse runes tho.

Like every child raised in Skalafell, he is also trained in combat. His weapon of choice is just a simple shortsword. He was taught by his dad, though he doesnt like to fight and relies on it as the very last resort.

His career is gonna be as a linguist when hes an adult. Ive got some secret plans for him and all of the next gen arcano kiddos for my upcoming fic but aside from those, I can see him maybe working with the Ministry as a liason or maybe he will join explorers or curse breakers and help them with translations.

He is essentially Daniel Jackson from Stargate. If you know, you know ;)

I think hes a keeper or seeker for the Ravenclaw quidditch team. I cant remember if i picked one earlier but maybe he can double as both? Very quick and agile.

His favorite cousin is Dafne because they can nerd out together about books and ancient cultures and history. Where Dafne studies how people lived, he studies their languages.

With his looks from his dad and his quidditch skills, he would probably be very popular and wanted romantically, however being a nerd he tends to stick by himself and not get involved socially.

Secretly i think hes a bit nervous and wary of dragons unlike his dad and sister. He would agree they need help and are being used for terrible purposes but he also knows they are intelligent and their own beings who do as they please and can hardly be tamed if they dont want to be.
