Review - Marc Anthony Argan Oil

In some previous blog posts, I talked about how I was growing out my hair and how the winter did some pretty crazy damage to it. If you`ve seen pictures of me and my hair in my other blog, Elixir Chic, you nay think my hair is long. I don`t agree with that, but right now I don`t think it`s long enough. My goal is to grow it at least another half a foot, which probably isn`t very realistic since my hair grows pretty slowly. This October, I would like to cut my hair and donate it for cancer. I`m not afraid of shorter cuts, because I chopped off almost a foot of hair during my senior year in high school. Although I`m looking for my hair to gain length, I`m also trying to find products that`ll make it healthier in time for that cut (I`ve been holding off cutting my hair for almost a year now so I would be kind of devastated if they reject my hair). One of the products I`ve picked up was Marc Anthony`s Argan Oil.

Product obtained: Shoppers Drug Mart.

Reason for trying: In hopes to find some hair treatments that`ll help make it healthier.

Size: Full sized.

Purchase details: Essentially any drug store. I saw some salons have it as well. Mine was on sale at Shoppers Drug Mart for $7.99, but the prices are going to vary between $7-15, depending on where you go.

Pros:

I like the pump, because it dispenses a bit at once and it makes it easy to use.

Since it is a drugstore product, the price is pretty reasonable.

It is convenient to use, because you can use it whenever. You can use it on wet or dry hair. My own preference is damp hair and applied to mid shaft all the way to the ends with focus on the ends.

You can use this product as an overnight leave in hair mask.

I can still feel the product on my hair for days without washing.

It helps detangle my hair, which helps prevent breakage.

Smells absolutely amazing!

My hair did feel slightly stronger.

It helps with my hair frizzing at the ends.

Cons:

This product doesn`t come with a lot of oil. The box in which the pump container comes in is twice the size, which makes it pretty misleading (refer to the first image). It`s been a month and I`m halfway through the bottle.

Since I go days without washing, sometimes it gives my hair a weird texture closer to washes. The best way to describe it is fake and sort of like plastic.

I didn`t really notice any changes in the amount of split ends. I know it`s not a mender, but I couldn`t tell if it actually decreased amount of breakages I expect to see in a week.

Overall Rating: 7/10

Repurchase: Maybe, but I feel as if there could be better products out there.

Recommend: I probably would for those who are looking for a product to help strengthen hair and help with the frizz, which is inexpensive and convenient to use.
