Byju’s Founder Raveendran Steps into Daily Operations After CEO Resigns

   So out of curiosity, I ended up watching this movie, mainly because I heard it was so negatively received and wanted to know if it is that bad. And as it turns out I liked it. Like, I watched it like three times. I know that the CGI is bad for certain parts. However, there are spots of good CGI here and there. The action scenes were wonky and certain parts of the story could’ve been better explained. Other scenes could’ve just taken out altogether because they added nothing except to sing unnecessary praises.

  The acting overall was good especially Samantha (Shakuntala) and Allu Arjun (Bharata). Dev Mohan (Dushyant) performance was cheese, but I still enjoyed it. He did give a good performance towards the end though despite the language barrier. Costumes and set designs were pretty when they wanted to be. The songs though were just *chef’s kiss* exquisite.

  So yeah, is it that bad? No. Could it have been better? Yep. Did I enjoy myself? Yes!

Eight people died in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday after inhaling toxic gas while cleaning a nearly 150-year-old well.

They were trying to clean the well at Kondawat village in Khandwa district for an idol immersion ritual ahead of Gangaur, a Hindu festival celebrating the deity Gauri on 4 April.

A labourer reportedly went down the well to remove the accumulated sludge but inhaled toxic fumes, fell unconscious and sank into the swampy residue at the bottom. He was identified by police by his first name Arjun.

The well had not been in use for quite some time, local authorities told the media.

Seven men who were helping Arjun with the clean-up attempted to rescue him, but they too succumbed to the toxic fumes and drowned, police said.

“In an attempt to save him, seven others entered the well one after another, only to succumb to the same poisonous gas,” a district official was quoted as saying by The Indian Express.

The news agency IANS, however, reported that three men had gone down initially and five entered later to rescue them.

The bodies were retrieved after a four-hour rescue operation, launched at around 4.00pm local time on Thursday by police and state disaster response force. Arjun’s body was the last to be pulled out.

“Bodies have been recovered. As per the preliminary information, the immersion of Gangaur Mata is scheduled to take place on 4 April. Traditionally, it was done in this well, located in the middle of the village,” Manoj Kumar Rai, a senior police officer in Khandwa, said.

The rescue operation began after villagers realised the men had not emerged from the well by evening. A 15-member state disaster response team, equipped with ropes and nets, arrived at the site along with police and local administration officials.

Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav announced ex-gratia relief of Rs 400,000 (£3,600) for each of the victim’s families and promised a thorough investigation.

The well, situated near a drain carrying the village’s wastewater, had reportedly become swampy due to accumulated filth. Authorities believe toxic gas formed from the decomposition of waste, causing Arjun to suffocate when he entered to clean it. Those who attempted to rescue him met the same fate.

Devastated villagers have decided to seal the well.

The district administration has launched an inquiry.

Several videos and photos from the site showed crowds gathered around the well and ambulances in the background. Visibly aggrieved villagers were seen milling around the well.

The men’s remains were sent to a nearby hospital for postmortem analysis.

SINGHAM AGAIN REVIEW

What in the multiverse of insanity was that.

I screamed shitless when I saw the trailer, and every time someone entered, I lost my shit. Because, it was crazy.

Oh maan. Like I don't understand why people are hating on it so freaking much.

Singham Again was decent, honestly. Agreed the star cast was overwhelming, but it actually had my interests satiated mainly. All their entries were cool, the puns hit well, certain scenes like the port burning scene had their fair share of adrenaline rush, acting was decent (I dare say even Arjun Kapoor was kinda okay). Overall, it was a cutesy retelling of Ramayana. I actually quite liked the way they presented the scenes and at different locations with the actual evidence of the real Ramayana.

The Congress party today rejected reports suggesting its involvement in the recent attack on actor Allu Arjun’s residence in Hyderabad, following a stampede incident during the screening of his film Pushpa 2. The attack on Sunday evening, which saw protesters allegedly claiming to be students from Osmania University, led to significant damage at the actor’s house, with flower pots broken and tomatoes thrown. The protesters were demanding justice for the woman who tragically lost her life during the stampede at a local theatre on December 4. They also called for a ₹1 crore compensation to her family. Congress spokesperson Sama Ram Mohan Reddy responded to the allegations, categorically stating, “None of them belong to Congress. If any link to our party is found, the individuals involved will be disqualified.” The incident prompted a swift response from Telangana’s Congress Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who condemned the attack and urged the police to enforce stricter law and order measures. He also directed the state police chief and the city police commissioner to ensure that such incidents do not repeat. Earlier, Reddy had made remarks regarding Allu Arjun’s actions during the Pushpa 2 premiere, accusing the actor of defying police instructions and causing the crowd to spiral out of control, leading to the stampede. The Congress party today rejected reports suggesting its involvement in the recent attack on actor Allu Arjun’s residence in Hyderabad, following a stampede incident during the screening of his film Pushpa 2. The attack on Sunday evening, which saw protesters allegedly claiming to be students from Osmania University, led to significant damage at the actor’s house, with flower pots broken and tomatoes thrown. The protesters were demanding justice for the woman who tragically lost her life during the stampede at a local theatre on December 4. They also called for a ₹1 crore compensation to her family. Congress spokesperson Sama Ram Mohan Reddy responded to the allegations, categorically stating, “None of them belong to Congress. If any link to our party is found, the individuals involved will be disqualified.” The incident prompted a swift response from Telangana’s Congress Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who condemned the attack and urged the police to enforce stricter law and order measures. He also directed the state police chief and the city police commissioner to ensure that such incidents do not repeat. Earlier, Reddy had made remarks regarding Allu Arjun’s actions during the Pushpa 2 premiere, accusing the actor of defying police instructions and causing the crowd to spiral out of control, leading to the stampede. According to Reddy, Arjun’s actions of waving to fans from his car sunroof contributed to the chaotic situation, which ultimately led to the tragic incident. However, Allu Arjun denied these allegations, stating that he had complied with police instructions and that there had been no roadshow as claimed. The actor clarified, “I was following the police’s guidance and there was no procession. It was simply a crowd a few meters from the theatre.” Following the stampede, in which a woman died and her young son was critically injured, the police arrested several individuals, including theatre staff and the actor’s security team. Allu Arjun himself was briefly detained but later released.
