Something so important to me is the tragedy written in every single ark character's story. So many of them want to get home, to see their families and friends, but they don't know that everyone they ever cared about is dead. And they have been for hundreds, possibly thousands of years, and the home they want to get back to is just nonexistent.

It gets to me whenever I'm reading the notes and characters talk about their families, homes, and how much they miss them and want to get back to them. because that is never going to happen.
