You Are Beautiful (1)
Summary: Sirius Black was entranced since the moment he saw you. He had to have you but you are convinced his feelings are fleeting, and will only hurt you. People inside and outside of your relationship meddle in the makings of something that could be beautiful... or disastrous. Will love and confidence win? Or will doubt and uncertainty tear you both down?
Young Sirius Black x Pus SizedFemReader
Warning: one inappropriate joke lol, fluff I suppose and nothing else really. All the real stuff comes later :0
Authors note: I mostly write my xreader fics as neutral but as this is a request, I wrote this as fem. But if anyone would like a male version or neutral version let me know and I will copy this but obviously change readers gender (and it's no burden to me I'd love to make more readers feel included and represented). Also reader is plus sized and she is confident and strong throughout the fic -because plus sized characters aren't represented like that in film/books alot (but if looking for amazing and empowering plus sized female characters Nina Zenik from Six of Crows owns my entire heart and changed how I saw myself personally and I would recommend that book for anyone really)- but as any human she has her insecurities because beauty standards are unattainable and have a way excluding so many people and making us feel less than beautiful. As a plus sized/overweight person myself, I understand how we have to fight to feel beautiful and fight this internalized bias we have when we look in the mirror. But WE ARE BEAUTIFUL. WE ARE WORTHY OF MAGAZINGE COVERS AND COMPLIMENTS AND ABOVE ALL SELF LOVE!! The self insert character in this has fought for her confidence, but it will shake and stumble throughout the series and Sirius and friends are there for her to help her realize for herself how beautiful she truly is, once again. So I hope I didn't stray too far from the request :) Enjoy....
Word Count: 1.8
Authors Note: About halfway through I decided to make it a series oops-

****Blabbering Idiot****
Sirius Black is a man of many, many words. In fact, I'm sure if he was writing this he could quickly turn it into one of the most entertaining novels ever written. He'd describe the laughter of his friends for a whole page. Tell a hilarious joke on the next. Then he'd describe the wind blowing through the open halls and courtyard and the spring sun. He could write about a great many things in great detail. (But he wouldn't because he doesn't quite enjoy writing as much as he does anything else, but that's above the point.)
As I said, Sirius Black is a man of many words. So it was such a curious thing when he first saw you. It was an astounding thing really, because for the first time he found something that rendered him completely speechless.
The sun was peeking through the open corridor and pooled onto you, caressing your skin and hair in an ethereal glow. Highlighting curves that brought both sinful and sweet thoughts running through him. It was as if the universe was telling him, look at what we've created, look at this beautiful creature. But he could hardly believe that this world could create something so lovely and kind. You threw your head back in laughter at something your friend said and suddenly the world is back to normal and all he can hear is your laughter and the sound of his friends curiosity at what could have possibly kept him from the conversation about muggle rock compared to Wizard bands. In fact, James was so passionate about it half the hall turned to listen to his rendition of The Chain by Fleetwood Mac.
But he didn't care, he took a feeble step towards you and suddenly felt so nervous his hands began to sweat. He stuttered and coughed up his words just for a simple "hello" in your direction only for the wind blowing through the halls to carry it away. And his friends laughed at him as he watched you walk too far from where he wanted you. Because, oh did he want you.
Sirus POV:
"I'm telling you, I won't be able to sleep tonight unless I know who she is," Sirius says for not the first time that evening. James started to laugh.
"Why? Because you'll be too busy thinking of her?" James said, laughing as he made a very suggestive hand motion. Peter cackled and Remus rolled his eyes, trying to find the cleaner side of his humor but instead he couldn't help but snort. Sirius pushed James's shoulder.
"Yeah, I'm sure Lily would love to know how familiar with that feeling you are," Sirius says and James stopped laughing immediately, his eyes narrowed.
"Please, you wouldn't dare. And I will deny all accusations, you'll be made out to be a liar. Then the mystery girl will never love you. Is that what you want, Pads?" James joked with a single arch of his brow. Sirius just rolled his eyes. He was only half paying attention, he has been scouring the hallways since he first saw that girl. He wanted to speak to her again, or maybe just stare for a bit. If things went well, he'd be able to do both those things on a date. But he hasn't seen her since that morning and his heart felt oddly shallow. He wanted those butterflies he had when looking at her to come back and overwhelm him again.
"What'll it matter if I don't even know who she is? Or- or if I can't talk to her? No one falls in love with a blabbering idiot," Sirius says. Remus shrugs.
"Lily fell in love with James," he says, Peter laughed again.
"Yeah, regardless of what he does at night," Peter added and now both James and Sirius were rolling their eyes. James and Lily just recently stopped denying their feelings for one another and gave into the sexual tension and mutual pining. Their relationship was still fairly new but they act as if they've been together for years. Sirius supposed that in a way, they have been.
Sirius would watch them giggling, hand and hand in the hall. He'd see them cuddling in the common room, or coming back after dates with rosy cheeks and beaming smiles. Sirius would never admit it out loud, but his heart cried out when he saw them like that. He rarely ever felt lonely. He could have any girl or boy he wanted if he really tried, but for what? One fun night? Only for one more morning where he wakes up alone? He wanted more than that whenever he saw Lily and James, their happiness was palpable. Their love was suffocating.
Sirius always thought he'd find the one after Hogwarts, if at all. But when he saw her... well that changed everything. In a flash he saw himself with her, their hands intertwined and her head thrown back in laughter. Rosy cheeks and bruised lips. Warm beds and making love... being in love. He nearly felt silly after and yet, he knew that even if he did sleep tonight, it would be her he'd dream of.
"Ello' guys!" Lily said, bouncing up to James who kissed her cheek. They walked with their arms looped and Sirius glared at the easy sign of affection. He thought of his parents, how they would be stiff with one another except for in quiet moments, when he'd pass through a hall and glance into their room. He'd spot a quick kiss on the cheek, and soft squeeze of the hand. It were those odd moments for him, that struck him so strongly with a sharp bitterness. They don't deserve softness and love, he'd think, how can such cruel creatures even feel such things? But even then, he'd walk away seeing them as still awful creatures born from the depths of hell, but more human.
"That's her," Sirius whispered so quietly Remus almost didn't hear it. In fact, Sirius didn’t think Remus heard it at all, but it was rather his look of longing towards the Great Hall entrance that gave him away. Because standing right there, was you.
Your hair was a little wind blown, messy around your face, bits of iit shaped your round cheeks and soft eyes. Sirius eyed you up and down and cursed clothes and cursed shyness and cursed his own head for thinking he could even talk to you. But most of all, he cursed a group of boys who walked past you.
Sirius was a confident boy, he knew how to spot someone who held their head up just as high as he did, and you were very much one of those people. You were giggling as you stole a biscuit from a friend and popped it into your mouth, you covered your mouth as you laughed when they complained with a little smile of their own.
"It's just so yummy, and I haven't eaten since breakfast." He heard you say, your friend just shook his head and handed you a plate as you sat down next to him. But right before you could get comfortable a sneering group of boys stole a piece of food from your hand and said something rather rude.
Sirius didn't even realize he had been walking towards you, this girl he has never even spoken too, yet thought of so endearingly, until he was standing right before the boys and had the pack leaders wrist firmly in his grip.
"Drop it boy, c'mon, drop it," he teased. It was humiliating for the boy and he knew it by the laughing and sneering others directed towards the group of boys, but Sirius did not care. The boy dropped the biscuit and looked as if his tail was tucked into his legs. "Good boy," he said, ruffling his hair until it was a knotted mess, the boy winced at just how hard Sirius dug his knuckles into his scalp, Sirius relented with a satisfied smirk.
Sirius’s voice took on a much harsher tone, "Now scram." The boys were out of their seats and in new ones within seconds.
Sirius felt his mood shift completely once they left, because now all eyes were on him, yours included. He looked up at you rather shyly, his hair falling in strands over his forehead. He tucked it behind his ear and found some confidence in the way your eyes followed the movement and how you blushed. He gave you his best smile, hoping his charm wasn't as weak as his legs felt at that moment.
"Hello, I'm Sirius... Sirius Black." Then, like an idiot he put his hand out for you to shake, what charmer just shakes the ladies hand? He stopped belittling himself the moment you softly placed your hand in his.
"It's nice to meet you, Sirius, and thanks for helping me. I know how to handle those filthy 'dogs'" you said, smiling as you remembered the way he spoke to them, he chuckled. "But I suppose it's nice not always having to," you finished with a bright smile on your face. He felt his own cheeks heat up and he nodded but could not think of anything better to say.
"Name," he said, you raised your brows. He cleared his throat, "your name?"
"Oh, how rude of me," you said and then you laughed, that same laugh that caught his attention and has yet to let go. "I'm (y/n) (y/l/n)."
"Nice to meet you," he said, it was as if he couldn't feel the appalled stares of your friends because all he could see was the blush on your cheeks and your head thrown back in laughter. He swallowed thickly before making his way back to his friends. They all wore raised brows and smirks, and he knew they were about to bite into him.
"Treating them like dogs, really? A bit ironic don't you think," Lily said, James shrugged
"That's why it was so good," he said, high fiving Sirius.
"But it admittedly went downhill from there," Peter was sure to add, just like Sirius knew one of them would. Sirius just laughed, too elated to finally know who you were.
"Don't start," he said, but it was too late.
All in union they sputtered out the lame word that will plague Sirius' memory of that moment forever, "Name?"
They cackled at him and ruffled his hair all the way to their seats, but Sirius knew they were pleased for him. And Sirius didn't mind, he could feel the pretty eyes of a pretty girl following him across the room. If only someone told him how important she would become to him, maybe he would have looked back at her and never looked away.

The Winter Ghost - Part 6
Info: A Devastating car crash causes you to lose your memory and start over. The only thing left in the wreckage was the horrific nightmares which plagued your mind. “What the hell happened!?” Bucky’s voice thundered as he stormed into the room. His face was a bright shade of red and his chest was heaving. You couldn't tell if he had just come from a workout or if he was really just that mad.
“How could you let this happen?” He spat at Nat. Obviously it was the latter. Natasha raised her hands in defence.
“Buck, calm down. No one was hurt and-”
“No one was hurt!?” He all but screamed. “Look at her!” He pointed to your crumpled body on the couch. Your face flushed pink as you tried and failed to look less pathetic.
“So I ask again, how the hell could you let this happen?” He finished, almost fuming. You could physically see Natasha shrinking under Bucky's glare.
“Stop it!” You tried to make your voice as full as Buckys but it came out flat and small. “It’s my fault. Not Nat’s. And I’m fine,” You tried to steady your voice but a cough escaped your throat which didn't help your case.
“Please, Bucky. I’m embarrassed enough as it is.” You finished, looking at his defeated face and quickly back to the floor.
“Embarrassed?” He repeated under his breath, but ultimately dropped it. You were thankful, but watching Bucky’s solemn face made you wish you had kept your mouth shut. You had never seen him like this before. The confident man now looked small and broken. You watched as he shoved his hands in the front pockets of his blue jeans and hung his head.
“Anyways, take it from the top Shuri.” Steve cleared his throat and spoke up, cutting the tension like a nuke.
“Right, so, ah… Y/n would have had contact with Wanda at some point. Do you remember a moment you felt yourself absorb her powers?” She asked you. You were still so preoccupied watching Bucky sulk in the corner; you didn't hear Shuri say your name. She cleared her throat and spoke again, “Y/n?” you tore your eyes off the Super Soldier and turned to the rest of the group. There was a familiar warm blush that crept back into your chest.
“Sorry, sorry. I’m just a little out of it.” You started shaking your head to clear your thoughts,
“Yes, um, I felt myself absorb Wanda's powers on our way to the garage. I know we've been practicing control, but I didn't think any of it really. ” You apologised again. You couldnt believe how stupid you had been. Guilt riddled your entire body, you felt terrible. T’Challa had invited you into his home. Shuri had used every resource to help you and this is how you repay them?
“Why didn't you say something to me?” Wanda spoke up suddenly. Her voice was so little you almost didn't hear her.
“I- I don't know. It came on so fast but it left. I thought I had it under control.” You explain, feeling suddenly nauseous again.
“But that's exactly it, right? You so obviously don’t have it under control. And that's why Shuri and I think it’s best you stay here until you do.” Steve solded. You nodded your head in understanding. Natasha didn't speak up this time. She only kept her eyes on the floor.
“I understand. I’m sorry.” You spoke quietly, a tear escaping and running down your cheek.
“What happened was a terrible accident. But an accident nonetheless. Let's try to focus on what's important in these times of strife. Things can be fixed easily, but people, not so much.” T’Challa’s deep voice spoke, alerting you to his presence in the corner of the room. You weakly smiled and thanked him.
“There’s been enough sadness today. We have a tradition here, that after days like this we come together. It’s what makes us strong. My friends have prepared a proper Wakandan feast. Tomorrow the problems will still be there but tonight, we eat.” T’Challa announced, smiling at the team. He and Shuri seemed to be the only ones. Hesitantly, Natasha and Wanda followed them out of the room. Steve got up, and almost left before turning back and taking a seat on the couch across from you. Bucky watched his friend carefully from the corner of the room.
“Y/n, what did you mean when you said you remembered something?’” He asked sceptically. You looked up at him and noticed he seemed concerned rather than angry. Your nerves subsided, only momentarily as you spoke.
“When I woke up, I remembered being in a small cement room. It felt wet, and cold. Maybe underground? I was in so much pain. I don’t think I’ve ever felt pain like that before. I don't usually remember in so much detail, but it didn't feel like a vision. More like a memory. And I remember a name…” You started. Your heart pounded in your chest when you tried to say his name.
“Zemo.” You finally choked out.
Bucky's head shot up suddenly as you spoke his name. Steve looked at his friend and back to you wide eyed. “Are you sure?” He pushed, looking at you sternly. You nodded your head. You were positive. It echoed through your thoughts ever since you opened your eyes.
“Do you know him?” You questioned. Steve mirrored your answer and only nodded.
“This is good, Y/n. You're starting to retain memories.” He began, getting up off the couch and heading towards the door. Before he left, he turned back to you, all sympathy had melted away from his face.
“T’Challa is a good man. He won't say what needs to be said,” He looked at Bucky who glared at him, but you could tell he wasn't going to stop him from speaking. “What you did today was careless. Someone could have so easily been hurt, or worse.” You nodded your head again and signed.
“I know. I’m sorry.” You spoke quietly.
“Good. See you at dinner.” And with that, Steve spun back around and marched out the door leaving you and Bucky alone. You could physically feel how uncomfortable he was, standing in the corner of the room. He balanced back and forth on his feet until he finally spoke.
“Can we talk?” He mumbled, beginning to cross the room. You patted the couch cushion beside you but he took the seat across from you.
“Are you okay?” He voiced gently. You looked up at him. His eyes were soft and full of sadness.
“Yes, I’m okay. Just a little bruised up. I heal fast, though. Thank you very much, Hydra.” You forced a chuckle, but Bucky wasn't smiling. His stormy grey eyes bore into yours causing your face to heat up. You picked at your fingernails, physically nervous.
“I was really scared, Y/n. When Steve told me what happened, I swear, I could have killed someone.” He signed as you watched his hands clenched into fists. He took a deep breath and relaxed again.
“I thought. Oh, God I thought…” He paused, staring at you before he finally got up and crossed the small space between the couches. In one swift movement he took your hand and pulled you up into his strong arms. He held you there for what felt like forever. Your hands rested on his chest, your mind going into overdrive as the smell of his shower gel enveloped you. The crook of Bucky's neck rested on top of your head as he slowly ran his hands through your hair. One of his fingers caught a knot and pulled, causing a improtue moan to escape your mouth. You felt his body stiffen at the sound.
Gently he unraveled himself from you, but his hands stayed on either side of your face. You were both so close now you swear he could hear your heart beating. And, of course he could, ‘Thank you very much Hydra.’ He thought to himself, causing a small smile to form on his lips.
Before you could stop yourself you balanced on your tiptoes as Bucky met you halfway, pulling you in close. In a breath, his lips crashed onto yours. The kiss started soft, but quickly became needy. He tasted like mint and nicotine and something you couldn't place.
“God, doll. You're fucking gorgeous.” He moaned, taking a break from your lips and kissing a trail down your neck. You tilted your head back slightly and allowed him more access.
In seconds you had melted into him as your hands reached up and wrapped around the back of his neck and tangled in his hair. He brought your lips back to his, dominating you in a way that made you feel like, given the chance, the man could wreck you without a second thought. You gave a handful of his hair a soft tug, pulling him deeper into the kiss. He let out an audible growl causing your heart to jump out of your chest. You could have died right there and been happy. Everything that had happened this morning faded away and all you knew was Bucky. Nothing else mattered in this moment but the way his tongue slowly traced your bottom lip causing you to moan in pure ecstasy.
Finally you both came up for air, gasping for breath. His forehead rested against yours as you both attempted to calm yourselves. Your chest heaved as you tried to comprehend what had just happened. Before either of you could speak the sound of someone clearing their throat startled you both apart. You both clumsily tried to unravel yourselves from each other.
“Okay, wow. Didn't mean to interrupt…” Natasha smiled knowingly, resting on the doorframe. “Just came to letcha’ know dinner was ready - but I’ll tell em’ you're busy…”
“Uh, sorry, Nat, we're coming. We were just- uh-” Bucky started, running his metal hand nervously through his hair.
“Oh I know exactly what you were doing, Sergeant. Please don't explain it to me, you perv.” Natasha grinned, turning on her heel and exiting the room with a perfect hair flip.
Bucky looked at you wide eyed. You honestly didn't have enough brain cells after that kiss to fully comprehend what had just happened. One metal finger lifted your chin up to meet his gaze. The intimacy in his eyes sent a shiver down your spine.
“I’m really glad you're okay, Y/n.” He spoke softly. His voice was raw and vulnerable and made your heart skip a beat.
“Me too.” You finally said. With that, he began towards the door. When he realised you weren't behind him he stopped, resting on the door frame where Nat had been moments ago. He reached out his right arm and gestured for you to follow.
“You comin’, Doll?” He asked, the familiar confident Bucky you knew was back. You smiled and nodded, practically dancing out of the room.
You were thankful for this little piece of happiness. It had felt like forever since you had felt this way. Despite everything, nothing could ruin this memory. Not even the ones that hid in the back of your mind, not yet strong enough to come to the surface. Or at least, that's what you thought...

A/n: Thank you so much for reading! I hoped you enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed writing it! Stay tuned for part 7!

Flashback Three: The Guardian Angels to a Glutton
Coming together to create theories of why this all happened in the first place, Izumi learns a couple things or two about the men that saved her that night.
「 Read it on AO3 」 「 2.7k words 」
.・゜-: ✧ :- -: ✧ :-゜・.
Izumi was in the middle of eating a snack when Itaru and the stranger came back to her room, causing a slight ruckus as the door was violently swung upon. The door handle slammed into the wall, resulting in a faint cracking noise that startled Itaru and Izumi, and they quickly glanced at the man who was in the middle of readjusting his tie.
Quietly, Itaru slinked around and checked the wall where the door hit, and did his best to keep his face neutral so that the man wouldn't know that there was a huge ass hole in the dry partition.
Izumi was kind of glad she asked the guards to stay outside otherwise one of them would've died on the spot.
The young blond held a finger to his lips when she glanced his way, causing her to hide her smile behind the treat she was eating as the man in the glasses went to sit down in the chair by her bed.
Slowly, her smile faded away when the stranger caught her attention just by sitting there, hands falling to her lap to show respect while doing her best to swallow the rest of the food that was in her mouth.
The drip of the IV was the only sound in the room, and the way the silence permeated throughout had Izumi clenching her fingers. The man that sat in Itaru's former spot was sitting with his leg crossed over the other, and he was staring at her in thought while he pinched his lower lip between his fingers; as if wondering about what he should do with her.
Helpless, Izumi looked over at Itaru who was also doing the same thing by the wall he broke, his eyes squinting at her.
"Guo Dian and Li Xiahouji, huh?" The stranger pondered under his breath, but peered straight into Izumi's eyes. His irises were a light purple, but with how intense his stare was it looked menacingly dark. The young woman frowned.
Izumi nodded at the mention of the familiar names and felt her heart squeeze painfully tight. She kept her lips sealed to prevent the two men in the room from hearing her strained voice, and instead weakly lifted her arm to motion for the man to continue.
"They've fled to the outskirts of the city; too far for the cops to reach and definitely too far for us." He informed, and mirrored the frown that was on Izumi's face. They had moved so fast that even Itaru was surprised when they first received the news– it looked like they started heading out not too long after the men found her in that alleyway.
The news was disheartening enough to make Izumi slump in her bed despite her injuries screaming at her to be careful. She cringed at the sharp pain that stabbed her in the side, and the ache in her lower back as the man by her bed watched on in silence, going back to his wondering state.
"Do you have any idea why this happened?" Itaru wondered aloud and kicked the door to the room closed, stepping to the side to hide the hole that was still there in the wall. He was also frowning, puzzled by the unusual act of unorganised crime.
Izumi shook her head. "Not any good ones."
Both men sighed in slight exasperation and looked at each other with a shrug, their lips pursed. They didn't know much about Guo Dian and Li Xiahouji despite their notorious monikers and how they moved in clubs, and for some reason whenever they looked deeper to latch onto something, only Izumi's name and information would show up.
Itaru couldn't wrap his head around it. He had no idea how they were able to hide everything about them that was important for their search.

Deep down, they knew that one of those two had something against her. With all of their presumed locations classified or removed, there was no way they would be able to find that duo so easily. Despite having the power of this city, the government only saw them as a nuisance, and never acknowledged them so they had no chance of getting their help.
Gently biting into his thumb, Itaru glared at the back of the other man's head in thought, his arm curled around his waist while he leaned against the wall to rest.
"Don't you think they were just using her, Sakyo?" The young blond asked, curious. If he took a look back at their files, he'd see the name Hanbei, and the place she used to live. She was also said to be in pursuit of a man whose name is redacted on the document, and her only connections were Guo Dian and Xiahouji, whose files were mainly wiped out or not available to the public.
The man in the glasses, Sakyo, turned his head halfway to send a sidelong glance at Itaru who was still biting at his thumb, eyebrows furrowed as he stared back.
"We know Hanbei. We've seen those three at clubs many times already," Itaru frowned, "and as much as her file wants to say that she was the leader of them – we never saw her do anything other than drink and be left alone by those two."
Offended by the accurate observation from Itaru, Izumi stayed silent and huffily crossed her arms over her chest, doing her best to ignore the searing pain that burnt through her body as she agitated her injuries.
Sakyo's steely eyes flickered back to her as he stood up to press a button that was above her bed, going back to sitting after the light flashed red.
"It doesn't make sense to me why they tried to kill her though." The older man rumbled lowly. His sharp gaze stayed on Izumi as she sighed, and he watched as she looked at him with a soft frown on her face, uncrossing her arms and resting her hands in her lap.
"I don't know how I got mixed up in this," she murmured, picking at her hospital gown, "but maybe they're planning something and I was the diversion?"
"That is exactly what I had in mind." Itaru wagged his finger lazily and pushed himself off the wall to stand beside Sakyo, who was mulling over the idea. Itaru's kimono shook violently as he slapped a hand onto the pondering man's shoulder, earning him an icy glare that he happily ignored. "Her 'death' gave them an excuse to escape because they have no 'leader'. They are definitely planning something." He complained and shook Sakyo's frame.
With a strong grip, the stoic man held onto Itaru's hand with a crease popping up between his eyebrows, nearly throwing the younger man off of him before smoothing his hand down the lapel of his coat.
"They could have easily left the city without trying to kill her." Sakyo argued, checking his watch to how long it had been since he pressed the assistance button. "It seems either one or both of them didn't want you in the picture at all." He said, finally addressing Izumi.
The young woman scoffed and resisted the urge to roll her eyes. There was no reason to be so rude to Sakyo anyways when she's mostly upset at the fact that her former boyfriend and friend decided to just off her. What the fuck?
"Obviously, considering they were doing this behind my back."
Her sullen expression made Itaru frown in sympathy, and he bumped Sakyo to the side so that he could sit down on the armrest that he wasn't using, arms going back to crossing over his chest.
She really had the short end of the stick and to be fairly honest, Sakyo and Itaru both immediately knew who she was when they found her in the alleyway. They had been keeping their eyes on her two years after she came to the city due to the request of a former member of their gang, but never approached her. They watched as she hung out with her friends at the clubs, and had others trail her during the day to see she made it home okay.
But they never saw this coming; meeting her in that alleyway. The only thing they knew was that they had a bad feeling about the two who were around her, and noticed that there was something off-kilter about that relationship with the other girl.
It was also quite obvious that there was a side thing happening between her and Izumi's boyfriend, but it looked like their girl was a little too dense to even notice.
"Now that we've got that out of the way, how do you feel about moving abroad for a little while after you've recovered?" Itaru asked and clapped his hands together with a sharp smile, head tilted as he watched an expression between confusion and shock took place on Izumi's face. The question was out of the blue and all too sudden; it had Sakyo sighing and pinching the bridge of his nose between his index and thumb.
"I don't.. really have enough money to do that." She murmured sheepishly, cheeks burning. As much as she'd like to go and travel overseas, her humble education and difficulty with finding a stable job prevented her from earning enough. Sure, there was also the variable that she partied a lot with her friends which resulted in a lot of money going down the drain, but she at least had enough to pay rent on time.
Both Sakyo and Itaru eyed each other before turning back to Izumi who was avoiding their gazes, and both men shrugged their shoulders indifferently.
"We'll take care of expenses." Sakyo flicked off an imaginary piece of lint from his pants while Itaru nodded enthusiastically at the offer (statement, really). "All you have to do is stay safe, and we'll pay for everything you need."
It was curious -- having two of these men offer her a way out of the country while not knowing who they were. Her quizzical gaze switched between the two of them as she tried to muster up the courage to ask why they were giving her a chance to leave, and who they were to so easily pay for her travels. She again picked at her gown and looked away, still unsure of whether to accept or decline their offer.
Itaru harrumphed, obviously amused once he picked up the awkward feeling she was giving off.
"You do know the names Itaru Chigasaki and Sakyo Furuichi, right? He teased gently. It was a bit silly to be asking, but when he revealed his name to Izumi a few hours prior, the weight of it didn't seem to sink into her brain, and neither when he called for Sakyo did she pause and think.
"Presumably they're your names." She answered, much to their amusement. Itaru covered a smile behind his hand while Sakyo turned his head to the side to hide the corner of his mouth tilting up, much to Izumi's annoyance. She really wished they would just get to the point with these things, honestly.
"You're correct," Itaru said, muffled behind his hand as he tried not to giggle, "and do you know what is under those names?"
Izumi nearly threw her hands up in the air out of frustration, but held herself back. The stab wounds on her body were still fresh and she probably reopened them earlier with her childish arm cross, so she bit her lip instead and scrunched her nose in distaste to show Itaru that she wasn't amused.
Sakyo's hand jumped up to hit Itaru square in the back of the head causing a loud thunk to be heard, causing Izumi to choke on a laugh. The young blond almost flew off the chair.
"Ugh, jeez. Fine. You two are no fun." He muttered under his breath with slouched shoulders and tried to soothe the ache that spread through his head.
"We run Heaven on Earth, Silly. These clubs and pleasure districts you're always going to? They're ours." He chuckled and obnoxiously held his arms out in a show-off gesture, causing Sakyo to roll his eyes as Izumi paused in her tiny giggle fest, her eyebrows furrowing together in shock as she looked between the two men that sat in front of her.
"Uh? I don't think I should be receiving help from you guys then--" She started, but was quickly cut off by Itaru who shushed her by holding a finger to his lips and shaking his head, his eyes closing. The corners of his mouth were twitching up into a smile as he willed his heart to stay calm. He didn't really want to mention that person, but it may be the only thing that convinces her to agree.
"Someone who used to be close to us requested a long while back that we look after you, and that's what we're doing. Wouldn't it be terrible of us if we broke that promise when all this has happened already?"
It was obvious with the tone in his voice that he was trying to persuade her into agreeing, but with how he pouted as his yellow tinted circle shades slid down his nose, Izumi found it difficult to resist. It also made her curious as to who would be looking after her. She's been in Yunliong for only three years, and she barely made any new friends; let alone acquaintances.
Izumi sighed, slumping back into her bed with a resigned nod. "Alright."
"Great! You'll leave once you're fully recovered, so make sure you take care of yourself!" He badgered. "I want to teach you a few self-defence things before you go though, so leave your schedule open for me." He batted his eyelashes prettily.
Sakyo and Izumi cringed at the display of shameless cuteness and looked at each other silently, somehow having a conversation with just their stares while Itaru tilted his head dumbly, his smile still etched onto his face. After a few seconds of staring, Izumi quietly burst into laughter as the older man's lips twitched, and he made a move to stand up from his seat just as a nurse had carefully slipped into the room with a new roll of gauze and alcohol.
"You'll also learn how to hold a gun, so rest well." He murmured gently, reaching over the hospital bed's barrier to pet Izumi's messy hair. "I don't know how dangerous your friends are and how far their reach is. I'm not willing to risk anything." He continued and absently brushed his fingers down her face to pinch her squishy cheek between his fingers, causing the girl to grumble at the sudden affection between them.
"We'll come back to visit again when we're not busy!" Itaru said enthusiastically and stood up from his spot on the arm rest, not minding when Sakyo bumped into him as he turned away. His shades dimly glared in the light as he bent down to print a cheeky kiss to her temple, but Sakyo swiftly grabbed him by the collar to tug him away from her, giving the nurse space to help the young girl up from her resting position.
Izumi sucked in a sharp breath through her teeth as sparks of pain flew throughout her body, but still managed to wave at the two men as they headed towards the door, receiving help from the nurse to lift up her gown to tend to the wounds that she had reopened.
"See you." She spoke softly, which earned her a wave from Itaru and a nod from Sakyo as they closed the door behind them.
And thank goodness Sakyo didn't notice the hole in the wall.

"Texas Hold Em'"
(PART TWO of the "Unconditional Love" fic. In this AU, the boys are all alive, modern setting and not cannibals. Just a bunch of eccentric boys with secrets. Hope you enjoy!)
Tumblr media
Early morning, a tinge of blue coats the walls like thick paint. You forgot to close the curtains, but this isn't your house, so how would you remember so easily? You wonder if your dog is having a good time lazying up the house with your friend who came to pupsit. But you have other things to worry about, she's in good hands.
The guest room at the boys farm was empty other than an uncomfortable old futon, some strange bone art (as you know, Nubbins and Bubba are quite the taxidermy artists) and the subtle smell of a "cinnamon clove" candle on the dresser that really ties it all together.
The sound of a rooster crowing next to the window reminds you..
"The boys are up already. Today I finally get to meet the notorious 'Chop Top'" you thought to yourself, struggling to get the heavy flannel sheets off so you can get dressed. "first day as a farmhand, that's a step up from gas station attendant."
When Drayton saw how easily you got along with the boys, he realized that you could be a good addition to the farm. Obviously you wouldn't live there full time. You've got your own home and your own life seperate from them, but something draws you there when you have free time. Actually, someone.
Stomping down the hall, you hear boots already mud clodden. Speak of the devil, he knocks at the door frame with a gentle thud. He groans in a way that almost sounds like "are you up?" You see his eye barely peak through the gap in the door.
"I'm getting dressed, Bubba!" You shout, grasping at the sheets to cover yourself. You hear the sound of his heels turning and a slight jog that turns into some thudding and stomping again. He must have been embarrassed because he turned heel, ran, stumbled and hit the lamp in the hall on his way out.
"BUBBA YOU FOOL, YOU DAMNED NEAR BROKE GRANDMA'S GOOD LAMP!"
Drayton's up.
"GODDAMNIT BOY, GO ON OUT AND GET THE TRACTOR STARTED!"
You hope to yourself he isn't like that with you. Poor Bubba.
"You about ready in there Y/N? We've got to get some work done and then we'll get breakfast made." He took a totally different tone with you. It's almost sickening that he can be so nice to you and so mean to his brothers, but you can't complain because he'll do his best to hold his tongue with you around.
"I'll be out in just a few, Drayton! I'm putting my boots on now!"
He chuckled on his way down the hall.
"Chop Top's back from the VA Hospital, so be prepared. He's crazier than any of us." You can't tell if he's joking or dead serious.
You meet Nubbins at the door.
"Hey! Hey Y/N! Bubba wants you to meet the animals and his favorite are the birds! They're so nice, really good tempered! The ducks are his favorite but I think the chickens are mine!"
"Alright! We'll go check them out together, they have to be fed anyways right?"
"Oh yeah! And they eat real good too! Hungry little things!"
He prances down the lane towards a little crooked shack, Bubba's standing outside the door putting buckets of water and feed out for the birds. He just can't stop wearing that pretty mask and suit. He knows how much you like it and you haven't seen the other mask since the day you met. He's dressed to impress and he's going to get his dress boots dirty, you just KNOW it.
The sun's come up as you were coming down the lane and Nubbins, running in his standard silly formation, makes it to the door and slams it open, letting out all the chickens to Bubba's dismay. He hadn't finished putting everything down and now he has to get his shoes muddy to get back to the other side.
Tumblr media
He looks to Nubbins and groans loudly, putting his hand up to his masked face. Shaking his head, he walks around the muddy nasty pen and finishes his job. As soon as he sees you he perks up, running out the pen and nearly ripping his good coat on the wire fence.
"Good morning big guy! Thanks for the privacy this morning!" You laugh as you watch his cheeks redden from under the mask. "It's alright you didn't know I was changing. Anything exciting planned for this afternoon?"
He points toward the gate at the end of the midpoint in the driveway, a truck is making it's way out toward the road and you see Drayton, his mouth running like he's cursing his whole way out. His window is closed but you feel for the poor soul on the other end of the phone.
Nubbins runs up and grabs you by the shoulder. "He's going to get Chop Top from the bus station in town! They finally got him out, he's going to get him and we'll have a great time, a hell of a time!"
Tumblr media
You've heard wild stories about this guy, and you weren't sure how to feel about him but certainly he would come to be as close to you as the other boys.
Bubba and Nubbins finish doing their jobs while you get some Alfalfa treats for the cattle out back. Who knew these hefty old things were like big dogs themselves? The one with the biggest horns you knew to be "Dolly" the longhorn named by Drayton and his favorite. You give her a couple extra treats for good measure.
Tumblr media
It's only been about fifteen minutes since Drayton left, and based on Nubbins' watch, he wouldn't be back for another 45. Now's your chance to get even closer to Bubba. He doesn't talk much but there's a spark and he for sure likes you.
More of an action than words guy, that boy.
"Hubba Bubba, look at you all fancy!" You smile at him, he's got his sleeves rolled up to the elbow, his pant legs rolled to the knee and he's slinging a 50 lb bag of cracked corn into the feeder. He looks down at you, giving you a once over before wiping corn dust off of his tie and jacket. "I'm done with my jobs if you want to go on a walk!"
Bubba giggles to himself before putting the burlap sack on the pile and walking up to you, excited to spend time with you, knowing soon you two can have a snack at the barn.
"So, do you like living on the farm?"
He nods, he loves it here with all the animals, you can tell. He scratches his chin under the mask. He must get hot wearing those all the time and shaves quite often so it must get itchy.
Walking down a hill toward the barn you pass a beaten up old shed. Getting too close to the door he grabs your hand and snags you in close to him. He's shaking his head no.
"What's wrong with the shed, Bub?"
He looks uncomfortable and points to the barn.
"Okay okay, we'll keep moving." You give him a pat on the lower back and keep walking before giving one hesitant glance back at the shed. What's in there and why is he not letting you in? Weird.
Tumblr media
Halfway to the barn you realize you're still holding Bubba's hand. He's tangled his fingers up in yours and you feel him gently trailing his thumb around on your hand. He looks down at you every once in a while just to be sure you're comfortable. He's nervous and it's easy to tell.
You try your best to reassure him by doing the same and smiling back each time. He lets out a relieved sigh as you make it to the barn. A decrepit old metal barn from the 50s filled to the top on one side with square bales of hay and the other side a little table with five chairs and a couple of empty stalls sit. The barn is open on both sides other than the back, a torn up old screen sways back and forth in the wind, like a piece of paper held on with tape. Bubba retracts from your hand to pull down some bales with ease, stacking them into something roughly resembling a couch.
He flops down on them with only a slight rustle of the hay, obviously more comfortable than the little rusty metal ones at the table. He sits up and pats the bale beside him. You walk over and flop next to him, looking around to see that Nubbins is nowhere close by, you wrap your hand around his and lean into him. Between the heavy overalls you have on guarding you from the itchy hay and this space heater of a man, you're warm and comfy. Bubba gazes down at you and envelops you in his arms. He too is very comfortable.
---
"I think they're in the house, I couldn't really tell you!"
You hear Nubbins in the distance, it sounds like he's yelling to Drayton and Chop Top but you can't be sure.
They can't possibly be back yet unless...
Bubba's asleep. You were asleep. How long have you been out? How long have they been home? Is Nubbins covering for you?
"Well tell them if you see them before us that Chop Top and I are making lunch and they'll be too late if they don't get themselves up here!" Drayton sounded like he was content for the moment but if you didn't get to the house soon you'd be in big trouble. Footsteps trail around the back of the barn, Nubbins peaks in and whispers loudly to the both of you.
"Get yourselves together love birds! Drayton's gonna whoop my ass if you two don't get in this house soon. It'll be real bad! So hurry on up!" He blows a raspberry at the now awake Bubba who groans at the thought. You look up to see the bottom of his mask has rolled up to reveal a normal looking chin and mouth, a freshly shaven face is hidden by the mask every day and you don't get to see it so this is a glance you didn't expect. As he starts to roll down his mask, you grab his hand. He looks at you scared and worried.
"I'm not going to take it off" you smile at him and he calms, holding onto your hands. "I just want to try something and you have to tell me if you're uncomfortable okay? I won't ever try to make you uncomfortable."
Bubba nods at you, his left hand trailing up your arm, resting on the nape of your neck where he can run his fingers along your hairline. As you lean in for a kiss, he closes the gap. Your lips touch and he pulls you in closer, holding you in his arms.
Bliss. You may have been kissed before, but he was a whole other ballgame. He had never kissed before and there was a level of touch starvation that he was trying to cope with upon this embrace. He was holding you and being held by you at the same time and he was beyond happiness.
Bubba's depraved lips were soft as silk and cherry flavored as they grazed over yours, his cologne thick but not overpowering smelt of burning oak wood in a crackling fireplace. The only fire here is one of desire and soon you would both be burning. His hands crept up and down your back and hips, trailing over your hands and back to your hair. Soon enough you felt smooth shaven skin and soft pillowy lips crawling down your chin and neck, circling your shoulder. You were completely and utterly surrendered and victim to his tender embrace.
Tumblr media
*horribly obnoxious phone ringing*
Bubba breathed hard letting you go, a sigh escaping his lips as he pulled his mask down again. You reach into your pocket and pick up the phone. Of course, Drayton was getting finicky.
"Where are you kids? Your jobs couldn't have taken that long!"
"Sorry Drayton we'll be right there!" He hung up and you could see the dissapointment in Bubba's eyes. You were dissapointed too but relieved because you weren't sure how far that could have gone. "Sorry Bubba, Drayton wants us at the house."
He grunted as he stood up, helping you up after him. He held your hand as you walked back to the house. You didn't get a snack, instead you got a whole lot of a hot take.
---
Tumblr media
The birds squawked and cooed softly as you passed by, echoing the same calmness that filled the breeze. In that breeze came the smell of lunch: a mixture of fried eggs, bacon, fried apples, little crunchy potatoes and fresh squeezed orange juice. The taste of cherry carmex chap stick still lay thick on your lips as Bubba walked beside you.
It was going to be the best job you could ever have dreamed of.

This is for you @sirbeepsalot 🌹🥀🌺🌻🌼🌷⚘
I've had a bunch of asks in my inbox forever and need to finally get around to them. I was inspired by @drakeandcamilleofvaltoria and her one shot about Drake meeting Camille at her flower shop. I went in a totally different direction, but hopefully this little story is just as fluffy. 💗
....
Paint me a Picture 🎨🌷🌼
Drake hummed happily to himself as he stepped out of his office. He had just finished a conference call with his fellow council members finalizing the plans for Kate's upcoming baby shower. They had put off the party for the past two months amid fears of the Coronavirus spreading into Cordonia. Kate's due date of March 12th was fast approaching and they had reached the decision to reduce the guest list to under ten people. This suited Drake just fine because he wasn't much of a party person, plus Kate found too much attention and fussing around more tiring than exciting at this point.
Checking his watch, Drake realizes that his call had taken him well into the lunch hour and he was quite hungry. The plush carpet of the stairs muted his footsteps as he descended toward the main hall. He could feel the empty space blanket him in its silence, and he wondered where Kate, Hana and the corgis were.
When he had last seen Kate that morning she had been reorganizing the supplies in the nursery for the fourth time. He had chuckled at her restless nesting and kissed her on the cheek before leaving to make his phone call.
"Go get some fresh air and sunshine, it'll do you good."
Kate sighed, rubbing her aching back. "I guess so. I wonder what Hana's up to this morning."
Drake shrugged, "Send her a text to come get you and take your mind off baby stuff."
"Thanks, I will."
..
As he turned the corner toward the kitchen, Drake could smell toasting bread, and the delicious aroma of chicken soup. His mouth waters and he swallows, breathing deeply as his stomach rumbles. The sound of laughter, clink of plates and drawers opening and closing made him smile. Over the past 8 1/2 months the kitchen staff had become familiar with Kate's unusual cravings at all hours of the day. Early on she had wanted salty snacks, and then halfway through her second trimester her cravings had her wanting sweets, during the last month she had started combining the two in odd ways. It made Drake shake his head in wonder, but he obliged her desires. And if Kate was happy, Drake was happy.
Walking into the kitchen unnoticed, he sees the staff loading up a tray with a platter of sandwiches, and a pitcher of iced tea.
"Good afternoon Ladies," he says, and the laughing chatter amongst the women stops.
"Lovely day indeed, Your Grace." Marie the head cook replies with a smile.
Drake eyes the sandwiches on the platter hungrily. He could imagine sinking his teeth into the golden toasted bread, and hearing the crunch. "Are these for Kate and Hana by any chance?"
"Why yes they are. They're taking lunch in the sunroom. I can add another drinking glass and another plate if you'd like to join them."
Drake nods, "That would be wonderful. How about if I take lunch to them then?"
Claire, the young kitchen helper, protests as she sees Drake reach for the tray. "Oh my goodness, Your Grace, let us do that. You go on ahead and we'll bring lunch to you. "
Drake grabs half of a sandwich, "Well, if you insist. I'll just take this to go then, thanks."
Turning around to leave the kitchen Drake raises the sandwich to his mouth and checks the contents before taking a bite. Lettuce, tomato and a slice of swiss cheese. Not bad, but could use some bacon.
..
In the sunroom the atmosphere is that of a bright summer's day despite the dull late winter landscape outside. Lush greenery, tropical flowers and golden sunshine fill the space and give it a pleasant warmth. Off to one side, chair cushions are clustered together on the tiled floor. At the moment they're serving as lounges for sunbathing, sleeping, corgis; but earlier the cushions had served as a comfy surface for a gentle yoga session for Kate and Hana. Now the two friends were standing at easels and painting, chatting back and forth about what to hang in the nursery.
"So you and Drake still don't know if you're having a boy or a girl right?"
Kate nods, "As much as I want to know now, it's still a mystery. Our doctor knows though."
Hana purses her lips in thought as she dabs some blue on her canvas, "So do you mind if I paint a gender neutral landscape instead of flowers?"
"Not at all. I'm still sticking with flowers though. The ones in here are just too beautiful not to paint. If it doesn't suit the theme of the nursery I'll just hang it somewhere else."
Hana rinses out her brush, setting it aside and selects a different one to line in some happy little trees in a dark brown. "I suppose Drake is hoping that you have a little boy."
"He won't admit it, but of course he does. He's itching to go camping and fishing, to kick a football around, toss a baseball with a son."
With a shrug Kate draws in some green stems on her yellow daffodils, "Of course these are all activities he could do with a daughter as well. I remember tossing around a baseball with my Dad in the backyard."
Opening the door and stepping into the sunroom Drake is met by the wall of heat and fragrant scent of flowers. He immediately feels overdressed as a trickle of sweat runs down his neck. "How do you ladies stand it in here?"
Kate turns away from her painting to look at Drake, "Oh Hi Honey, welcome to summer in March."
Under the shade of her Sun hat, Kate is wearing one of Drake's old denim shirts as a painter's smock, the sleeves rolled up to her elbows. There's a green smudge of paint on her cheek. Drake notices that it appears that she's wearing little else other than flip flops.
"Uh, Kate? Are you naked under my shirt?"
Kate giggles, covering her mouth, putting another smudge of green on her face. "No silly. I'm wearing a bikini top and shorts." She glances down at herself, "I can see it looking that way though."
Hana is wearing a short summer dress, and her own Sun hat. "You look a little warm there Drake. I wouldn't mind if you decided to take off your shirt."
Kate snickers as she goes back to her painting, "Yeah Honey, don't be shy."
Drake clears his throat, loosening his top two buttons and rolling up his sleeves. "I think I'll just open a couple of windows instead."
Kate watches Drake crank open a window, appreciating the flex of the muscles in his forearms. The fresh air blows the fabric of his shirt against his chest, making it stick to the sweat on his skin. She realizes that he isn't wearing a tee underneath. Probably why he was reluctant to remove his shirt in Hana's company. Drake notices her watching him and gives her a wink as he walks across to open another window. "So what are you ladies painting today?"
Kate feels the cool breeze brush the hair off the back of her neck and she shivers with delight. "Thanks honey, I didn't realize just how warm it was getting in here."
Drake does a quick bow with flourish of his hand, "Always pleased to be of service, Your Grace."
Hana giggles, "We're painting flowers and landscapes, to answer your previous question."
Drake settles down on the floor with the corgis, resting his elbow on a cushion and rubbing a belly as one dog happily rolls over. "I have the pleasure of informing you ladies that iced tea and sandwiches are also on the way, for our lunch."
Hana wipes her brow, "Anything with Ice in it would be welcome right now. I first experienced cold tea when we were in Texas for Savannah's wedding. I wasn't sure if I'd like it."
Kate sighs, "Mmm, I love lemony iced tea in the summertime. I miss it from being back home."
Drake's stomach growls again, causing one of the corgis to give him a look and then retreat to a spot in the shade, "Sorry Fluffers, didn't mean to disturb you. Don't worry I'm not hungry enough to eat you, close but no."
"I could go for a big bowl of spaghetti and meatballs right now," Kate says wistfully as she paints a tomato red poppy onto her canvas bouquet.
Drake groans, folding his arms behind his head as he leans back on the cushions and closes his eyes, "Oh stop, you're just making me more hungry."
Kate bites her lip, "Ooh, or pizza. A nice big slice of ole New York thin crust with extra cheese."
"STOP IT!" Drake barks out a laugh, chuckling as he wipes the sweat off his brow. "I ate half a sandwich on my way here, and it's really tasting like another half right about now."
Kate wipes her hands on a rag, "Ooh, what type of sandwich?"
Drake shrugs, "I dunno, there was cheese and some lettuce in there, maybe tomato?"
Kate kicks off her flip flops and walks across the warm floor tiles to stand over Drake, casting a shadow across him, hands on her hips. "And you didn't think to bring the rest of the sandwiches with you?"
Drake cracks an eye open to look up at his wife, his face scrunching up in amusement at her paint smudged face and raised eyebrows. "Hey, I tried to take the tray with me. But I don't think the girls in the kitchen trusted me to get the sandwiches this far without eating a few."
Kate nudges his leg playfully with her foot. "So true. We've all seen how much you like to eat."
Drake growls playfully, reaching out to grab for her ankle but she steps back out of his reach, "Can't help it if I'm a hungry man, c'mere you. I bet you taste like chicken."
"Nah ah, if I get down on those cushions with you I might never get back up. I'm going to wash up my hands and then take a seat over there at the table. Besides I think cannibalism is frowned upon in Cordonia."
Drake smirks at her and rolls over on his stomach, watching her walk away. "Mmm, golden fried chicken. You know how much I'm a breast and leg man."
Hana bursts out laughing, "Geez guys get a room."

Eyes on you
Cordonians Gone wild: a TRR AU collaborative effort by @ao719 @speedyoperarascalparty @cocomaxley @riseandshinelittleblossom and myself. Catch up HERE
Leo and Alicia finally have their Royal Re-do wedding. This was inspired by the Song Eyes on you, by Chase Rice. This is Fluffy!
Tumblr media
She stood in the center of the boutique dressed in a strapless white  A line dress that hugged her curves, a sweetheart neckline that highlighted her ample breast, the stunning lace overlay pulling the entire ensemble together. She married Leo in a quicky Vegas wedding a few months back, both way too drunk to remember most of the ceremony. Though one thing was clear, they were both completely head over heels, maybe even more today. She was pissed when Regina refused to acknowledge the union, forcing them to hold the traditional Royal wedding, but now, she was glad she agreed. Today was going to be the day she married the love of her life again.
We've been to both Carolina's
Seen a big Montana sky
Driven up and down the coast a few times
London, Paris, paradise
But I ain't got much memory of the scenes come to think
I miss them all every damn time
It's all your fault
“well, this is it.” Alicia turned to face her friends,  tears welling in her eyes. “Don't cry… you'll make me cry.” Genevieve waved her hands in front of her face. Pam walked over to her “It'll be just like last time, just… less vagina.” she giggled as she pinned the veil in her hair. She turned to face anitah who was tearing up, her bottom lip quivering “Anitah, don't do it. Because if you do it, then I'm going to do it.” Alicia started to tear up as well. “Leo's not going to be able to keep his hands off you.” Anitah laughed and sobbed at the same time. “Thank god the makeup artist put waterproof makeup on us.” Stephanie sniffed.
No matter where we go
No matter what we do
If you're there girl, I've got my eyes on you
Don't matter where we've been
No there ain't no better view
Than you in my arms with my eyes on you
With my eyes on you
With my eyes on you
With my eyes on you
With my eyes on you
She stood at the double doors, Genevieve walked down the aisle meeting Rashad, next was Pam joining Drake, followed by Stephanie met a grinning Maxwell. Anitah went joining Liam, Alicia stood there taking a deep breath. She wasn't nervous, though the filled cathedral of people may have had her slightly on edge. She was excited. She had always told him, her favorite part of a wedding was the look in the grooms face when he seen his bride, and she could not wait to see him. “Are you ready?” Bastien extended his arm. She smiled as she took it “More than anything.”
Speaking of the coast, remember Pfeiffer beach?
You and me, that sunset, cliffs by the sea
And the night rolled in
And you still talk about that moon that I can't recall
But God I sawAll I needed too
Might as well have stayed in the room
The doors opened, the sea of people stood as stood. Her eyes steady on him as he turned and locked eyes with his bright blues. His wide smile met his eyes as she could see him tear up immediately.  He looked devastatingly handsome in his Black suit, white shirt and vest, with a Royal blue tie. She didn't think it possible for him to be any more attractive, but she felt weak in the knees. Bastien kissed her cheek as Leo stepped down eagerly taking her hand. “You are breathing Love.”  she smiled at him “I love you.” she whispered “I love you.” he replied. The minister began the service, she took both of his hands, their eyes glued on each other.
No matter where we go
No matter what we do
If you're there girl, I've got my eyes on you
Don't matter where we've been
No there ain't no better view
Than you in my arms with my eyes on you
With my eyes on you
With my eyes on you
With my eyes on you
With my eyes on you
“Alicia, From the moment I laid eyes on you, you took my breath away.. I was never one to fall for someone, but when it came to you, I drove head first. You have shown me what true love is, I may not be the perfect man, but I want to spend the rest of my life being the perfect man for you.”
Alicia spoke with tears in her eyes. “Leo, when I came to Cordonia I was only coming for my best friend's wedding, I never expected to meet my soulmate. Every day with you is an adventure, your zest for life brightens my days. I love you more than words could ever express, I know with you by my side we can surpass anything that comes out way. I can't wait to continue our adventure as your wife.  You are the bread to my butter, beat to my heart, I will always be the pebbles to your bambam.” Leo wiped his eyes as he chuckled, Alicia joining him. Their friends around them all giggling and snorting.
Do you Leo take Alicia to be your wife. To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish, all the day of your life.
“I do.”
Do you Alicia take Leo to be your husband. To have and to hold  from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, all the days of your life.
“I do.”
They exchanged rings, the minister pronounced them husband and wife.  Leo eagerly grabbed a hold of her waist his lips immediately finding hers as he dipped her down. The crowd cheered around them. As they took their first walk, well second walk, as husband and wife.
Don't you remember Times Square?
And people counting down everywhere
Two thousand whatever, no I didn't care'Cause baby you were there
And once again Couldn't help but stare
No matter where we go
No matter what we do
If you're there girl, I've got my eyes on you
Don't matter where we've been
No there ain't no better view
Than you in my arms with my eyes on you
Leo twirled her around on the dance floor. As they shared their first dance. Leo insisting it be eyes in you by chase rice. “Can you pinch me?” He looked into her eyes. “why would I pinch you?”
“To prove this is not all some dream.”
“If it is, it's a damn good dream.” she giggled.
“How did I get so lucky? I spent so much time running away, that I didn't realize I was running to something. To you.”
“Leo..” her hands reached around his neck pulling him into a heated kiss. They pulled away his head resting on hers. “Besides, I am positive I struck gold, you can keep up with me between the sheets.” Alicia but her lip “Flattery will get you everywhere Mr Rhys.”
The song drew to an end Leo whispered into her ear “let's sneak away Mrs Rhys.”
“I thought you'd never ask.. Mr Rhys.”
Halfway around the world
Or the local corner booth
Yeah you guessed it girl
You know I got my eyes on you
We could be on any street
Any party, any room
I'll be there all night with my eyes on you
Don't matter where we've been
No there ain't no better view
Than you in my arms with my eyes on you

—————
Quiet was a virtue and you didn't realize it until you had escaped outside—after you had stitched yourself up and you bit your lip, staring at the stars with more interest than they needed.
“What're you doing out here so late?” His voice was quiet and soft, you've never heard it like that before, and you swore you could fall asleep to it right there. Turning to him, you smiled gently and looked down at your leg, rubbing it like it was going to break at any minute. “Shit, your leg—”
“I fixed it up, made it new. Nothing to worry about, Hargrove.” He could see right through what you were trying to do and the sigh that came out wasn't meant to be that loud—but he couldn't hold it in. His legs were moving before he knew what he was doing and he sat down next to you, crossing his feet.
“You know what, I am worried, fuck, I'm terrified, Y/N.” He held up his hand when you attempted to interrupt him and tell him to not use your name. “Hopper said the gate was closed, so, why—why does everything still feel wrong? Why does it feel like the whole damn world is going to give in and—”
His voice caught then and you looked at the blonde, eyes widening at what you were witnessing. Billy Hargrove was crying.
It wasn't an act, no, you could spot one from a mile away.
Your face softened as you softly took his hand and gripped it, smiling sadly when he looked at you, the tears starting to fall. He ran his tongue along his teeth before coughing, more tears cascading down his face. “I don't want anyone to die.”
“I don't either and no one will.”
“That's—that's not a promise anyone, let alone us, can keep.” His voice made you stare at the ground and you sighed, turning to look at the back door of the house.
“I know, but, I'll be damned before anyone gets hurt.” The tone of your own voice made you gulp and you stood, brushing your pants off. “I'm going to get some sleep, you should too. We'll have a big day tomorrow.” As you turned to walk away, you heard Billy speak your name and you made eye contact with the male.
“Thanks for saving my ass back there—you know, in the tunnel.” You smiled at the gentleness of his voice and you nodded before walking inside.
—————
You bit the skin off the side of your cheek as you listed to Jim scream at the teenage boys and you squeezed your eyes shut. It wasn't their fault that your body spazzed out and they couldn't help, it was nobody's fault but sometimes, you believed it was yours.
Having a home was sacred but you didn't feel at home, you felt like you were intruding and the tears would well up in your eyes before you angrily wiped them away.
“You could've called—”
“We tried, Hopper! We did. It went straight to voicemail so don't say I didn't try to call you.” Steve's face was twisted into an angry expression and he threw his hands up in the air, rolling his eyes at the chief.
“Steve, you promised to take care of her! You promised she would be okay.” His voice raised higher and Steve growled, crossing his arms across his chest before he screamed.
“She IS okay! She's fine! I wasn't the one who asked her to be here, Hopper! You did. I'm not a damn babysitter, especially for her. She's old enough to watch herself!”
“She's being tracked by the government, Steve! She can't just watch herself!”
“Then let them take her! We've had nothing but trouble since you brought her here and we all know that's true!”
The argument came to a halt and silence filled the room as you looked down, tears cascading down your face before you stood up and walked away.
“Shit, why did I say that? I didn't mean it.” His voice became soft as he placed his palms over his face and rubbed them down, groaning as he did so.
“If you didn't mean it, why did you say it?”
Steve turned to look at Billy and he grinded his teeth together, clenching his fists before wiping his hands on his pants. “I don't—I don't know.”
—————
Tears came gushing down your face as you grabbed a dufflebag and walked over to the dresser, yanking it open roughly. Grabbing a handful of clothes, you shoved them into your bag before grabbing more and you sighed. “Nothing but trouble.”
Your eyes shut tightly as a memory of papa came rushing into your mind and you could feel the panic rising up.
“Nobody is going to want you, Five. You're nothing but trouble. A murderer.”
The door to your room creaked open and you looked over your shoulder as you zipped your bag shut before picking it up.
“Listen I—”
“I'm leaving.” The words came out of your mouth smooth and cold before you threw the bag over your shoulder quickly and walked past Steve, your shoulder slamming into his.
“No, no, no, wait—”
“I've waited enough. We've all waited enough, right? I should leave, I'm intruding.”
“No, you aren't, please, just—”
“Steve, you were right and now, it's time for me to move on. I'm sorry I've been a problem and I appreciate the honesty. Maybe we'll cross paths again, someday. Thank you for allowing me to be here and—”
“You're not leaving.”
The words made you stop and look up at the teen before raising an eyebrow at him. “I am. I'm not welcome here—”
“I didn't mean any of it.” His hands came to your shoulders and he gripped them tightly, pulling you into him. “I didn't mean it at all. I'm sorry, I'm an idiot and I say things when I'm mad—”
Your hands came to his chest and you pushed him away, smiling slightly at him before taking a few steps back. “No.”
“No?”
“No, Steve. It was nice being with you for the month that I could stay. I'm sorry for troubling you.”
And like that, you were walking out of the room and out of his life before he knew what else to say
—————
The words of everyone around you were muffled as you gripped the strap of your bag and walked out the door, blinking the tears out of your vision.
Multiple people yelling your name would make you turn around, eyebrows raising at them all and you gripped your bag even tighter. You shook your head as Hopper walked towards you, eyes pleading with everything for you to stay and you just turned around before running.
You were always good at running away.
The running would last only twenty-two minutes before you would stop and rest your hands on your knees, gasping for air.
It hit you then.
You've never had a secure home. You've never had a family that loves you. You've never known what it's like to be loved, and love someone back and that broke you.
Falling to your knees, your hands buried in the dirt as you groaned out and sobbed harshly. Breathing wasn't coming as easy as you hoped it would and you choked, your tears becoming a waterfall.
The words echoed in your brain as your screamed out, fists pounding on the dirt and you sucked in through your teeth as you felt your knuckle hit into something hard.
You pressed your back into the tree behind you as you cradled your hand, staring at the nature around you.
Where would you go, now?
—————
Two weeks. It had been two weeks since anyone had seen, or heard from you and Steve bit his lip, pacing around the living room.
“Hopper—”
“I don't want to hear shit from you.”
Steve sighed before sitting on the couch and resting his head in his hands. Thoughts ran through his mind, but you ran through it more and he threw a pillow at the wall, angry at himself.
“She's gone because of you, Steve. You don't get to fucking be mad.” Billy spoke as he lit up a cigarette and sat at the dining room table, expression hard.
“Not gone. Hiding.”
All three men turned to face the voice and Hopper's eyebrows raised. “What do you mean by that, Jane?”
“She's hiding here in Hawkins. She isn't gone, not yet.” Eleven looked at the front door before turning away from the men and walking away.
In two weeks, everything had gone to shit and no one could deny it. Eleven didn't want to eat. Steve wouldn't leave the house, just in case you did come back. Billy had started finishing a whole pack of cigarettes a day, just to keep his worrying subsided and the kids? They ditched school to look for you.
Hopper was the worst out of the group. He wouldn't sleep or eat and no matter how much Eleven would beg, he would say the same thing.
“I'll take care of myself once we find her and take care of her.”
Steve's foot would shake from the amount of anxiety pooling in his stomach and he bit his lip, glancing at the other teen sitting at the table. He could tell Billy was just as worried and Steve's breath caught when the other stood up abruptly.
“I'm going outside.” With that, he walked outside, closing the door lightly and Billy sighed as he rubbed his eyes. Looking up, his eyebrows furrowed as thoughts invaded his mind.
The sound of a branch snapping caught his attention and he looked over his shoulder, eyes meeting with yours. His eyes widened before he turned to you and breathed out slowly.
“I'm not here to stay—”
“No, please, stay.” The words came out rushed and he watched your face soften as you looked down at the grass. Silence filled the void as Billy look a hit from his cigarette, eyes never leaving you. “Do you check up on us often?”
“Yeah, uh—” Your hand came to the back of your neck and you rubbed it nervously, a habit you've attracted from Steve. “I know Hopper and Eleven aren't eating. Hopper won't sleep. I know that Steve won't leave the Byers house because he's hoping I'll come back. And, I know that you, you've been smoking more.”
Soft laughter filled the air as Billy took another cigarette from his pack and handed it to you. “The kids haven't stopped looking for you since you walked out on us.”
Gently taking the cigarette, you placed it in your mouth before lighting it and taking a long drag. “I had no choice.” The words came out with the smoke and you turned to look at the forest.
“You always have a fucking choice.”
“Not at that time.”
Silence followed after before Billy threw his cigarette on the ground and faced you. “That's a lie and you fucking know it.”
“Billy, I'm not here to argue—”
“Then why are you here?!”
You bit your lip before looking down and chuckling softly. “I don't know. To see if you guys are okay? To see if you guys—”
“Forgot you?”
The words made you close your eyes before turning away from the male and you played with your thumbs. “I don't…know.”
“Well, hey, we fucking didn't. We couldn't, okay? We tried. This was a choice you made and God, we fucking tried to forgot you, but we can't. None of us.” His breath caught before he groaned out and dropped his cigarette, hands coming to rest on your cheeks. “We need you. You're here for us. You always have been, Y/N.”
“No, I—”
Billy's eyes connected with yours and you looked down as your hands came to rest on his wrists before you pushed them away.
“Don't. Don't push me away because you don't think you belong here. God dammit, you do!” His voice made you clench your teeth together before you turned away and shook your head.
“Billy, don't—”
“Listen, you've been here for months. You don't get to just walk out when so many people want you here and fucking love you.”
“They don't—”
“If they don't, fuck it. I do. I love you. God, I've loved you since I saw you.” The words came out soft as he stared at you, hands gripping onto his own biceps and you took another step back.
“I can't.” You shook your head as you backed away from him before he could reach out for you. “I don't belong here, and I certainly don't deserve that. I'm a monster, Billy and monsters aren't able to love humans.”
The words lingered in the air as he watched you walk away, jaw clenching and that's when he felt tears fall down.
He couldn't bring her back.
