✦ WELCOME TO THE HOME OF VR-TV! ✦
Tumblr media
HI! this is the vr-tv blog! second time im writing this since first time i wrote it tumblr just chucked the whole thing out the window. BUT THAT ASIDE welcome! :D
to clarify this isnt a narrative/interactive/arg blog but rather a dedicated blog for the vr-tv universe and just storing info, art, writings - whatever about it! yknow, for documentation's sake.
if you'd like to check out more of my work, my art blog is @y2kazoo . my main is @acnitemare if you wanna give me a follow there!
Tumblr media
✦ THE BASICS ✦
(gonna keep this short and simple!)
TLDR: it's the 80's and a bunch of world-famous musicians across various genres have agreed to go on this experimental reality tv show hosted by a sentient AI named I. M. PEACEMOUTH. (he's up there waving & peeping over in the blog's icon!). the guy is formal and professional and a smooth talker, but clearly has shady intentions.
(to preface, this version of the 80's is way more technologically advanced than ours was, so in this timeline, around this time technical capacity for 3d virtual reality exists - albeit in a primitive form!)
the company that hosts this show is called CONGLOMOCORP and they're a massive enterprise with a big hold over a lot of markets but they've recently become pioneers in the field of music video production (think mtv type stuff).
they got the idea to make the 'ultimate music video', which is where we circle back to the musicians and the tv show thing.
you see, this 'ultimate music video' is actually a televised broadcast of a virtual reality simulation of this big, huge house thing that all the musicians live in for their time on the show - and the feed on it is always running (well, most of the time.)
in order to get on this show, all the musicians have had to go out to conglomocorp's studio and get put into a coma-like state; and from there, they were hooked up to these machines and their consciousnesses are the ones in the virtual reality. their avatars are shaped around the content of their souls, which is why a lot of the characters you'll see around here look kinda wacky and abstract!
conglomocorp sold the musicians on this idea by claiming that it was just going to be for 'about a year' and that their only intentions behind this project - named VR-TV - was that they just 'wanted to push the limits of technology to its fullest extent'. butttttt you know how it is with stories like this...
Tumblr media
⚠️ WARNINGS ⚠️
a list of content warnings for things you might see on this blog! (just so you know, if this stuff ever pops up it will be tagged accordingly.) if more things come up that need to be added, i will put them on the list in due time.
✦ references to drug use
✦ unreality
✦ themes involving loss of agency
✦ body horror
✦ digital horror
✦ blood/gore
✦ mental manipulation & other people being manipulated
Tumblr media
★ OTHER THINGS TO KNOW!!! ★
✦ i LOVE getting fanart for my projects! if you make any fanart for vr-tv, be sure to send it in!!! i would LOVE to see it!!!
➢ side-note: the easiest way to get me to see your fanworks is by submitting it directly to this very blog! i dont check my notifications very often so if you just mention this blog or post it in a main tag for it, chances are i won't know. BUT if you just submit your fanart here, that's a surefire way to get me to see it AND i can display your work for all to see!!! it's a win-win :D
✦ fancharacters for vr-tv aren't just accepted, they're encouraged! if you want to make a wacky little guy for this thing then be my guest!
➢ side-note: it bares clarification here that vr-tv isn't a collaborative project, it's just something i make on my own. you're welcome to make fancharacters BUT they won't be considered canon! (it's just too much work for me to include multiple people's fan lore in with my own for this project, sorry!) you can still by all means draw canon characters hanging out or even draw oc x canon if you really like, but don't do so with the expectations of them being canonized if that makes sense! like with fanart, i encourage you to submit fancharacters here directly in the case that you make them!
✦ do NOT create nsfw content of vr-tv characters!!! that's just crossing a line that i am not comfortable seeing my characters depicted in. please dont :c
✦ ASKS ARE HEAVILY WELCOMED!!!!!!!!!!! if you send me an ask about this thing i will do everything in my power to answer it to the best of my ability. you can ask me anything about this thing, what certain character's favorite foods are, how the VR-TV virutal reality works (but keep in mind i am bad at describing technology things lol), your headcanons/theories, questions about the lore or character's motivations.... PLEASE ask me any of those and so much more! i will be glad to divulge information to you!
✦ in the case that you want to make ship art between two characters, please reach out to me thru the ask box beforehand to get my approval before you start making anything. i wouldn't want you to draw something i don't approve of especially between certain characters, my characters are precious to me and im admittedly very finicky about how my characters get depicted. (and me giving approval isn't a sign that the relationship will become canon, it's just a signifier that im okay with seeing content of those two characters in that sort of relationship. just thought that was worth adding!)
so yeah - that should cover all the bases!
enjoy your time here!!! buh bye!!!! hope to see you around soon! 👋 ★

Category is: The Art of GIF
Welcome to November’s Artist Picks series! This month, we’ve invited @catswilleatyou to share posts surrounding the theme, “The Art of GIF.”
Here is what they have to say about it below!
What does “The Art of GIF” mean to you?
The GIF is an art form that was born on the web. Videos existed in other places; paintings, photos existed in other places. GIFs just didn’t exist anywhere until the internet came along. Many artists were thrilled to be at the moment in art history when this medium was born. Even though the compression techniques are outdated and the functionality has been surpassed by other formats, the perfect infinite loop of the GIF has yet to be achieved by another file format. MP4s still have a hiccup when they start over. While GIFs are widely used for quick jokes and communication, many artists still believe there is more depth to this medium. I believe that as digital art continues to gain acceptance as a high art form, GIFs will eventually be realized as a cornerstone to it. To me, the art of GIF is about working within limitations and birthing something infinite.
Why did you pick these particular posts?
A few years ago I started creating GIFs that are Phenakistiscopes. I couldn’t find any resources on how to make Phenakistiscopes, but I found lots of tons of centuries old Phenakistiscopes that were making amazing GIFs. I sort of backwards engineered my own method of making them and I continue to explore this medium with GIFs. There’s a lot to be learned by limiting yourself to a small number of frames. I keep thinking I’m done making these but every time I work on one, I learn a new animation trick.
(Below are specific mentions of the artists @catswilleatyou chose posts from.)
@volvulent is a mysterious artist to me. I know nothing about their personal life. I’ve never been able to find them on other social media platforms. I feel so fortunate to have stumbled on their work many years ago. They are a complete master of organic form and hand drawn infinite loops. You can follow some of the shapes on these drawings for several seconds, and then when you go back and study the art closely, you discover that the whole looping sequence is only fraction of a second long.
@katecursed uses old and outdated technology in ways I’ll never understand. Tons of analog CRT TVs, oscilloscopes, old video games, and synths. I love it. She grew up around this stuff and is extremely knowledgeable. Her GIFs are timeless.
@alcrego is an absolute workhorse and in my opinion, a historically important GIF artist. He has an instantly recognizable voice using almost entirely black and white. I think he would even go so far as to say he only uses light. The minimalism is always deceptive—there is so much depth to his exploration of GIF as an artistic medium.
I’ve also chosen some very “classic” looking @kidmograph GIFs. I credit kidmograph with bringing the retro/video game style back into fashion about a decade ago. When he started posting this stuff, I hadn’t seen anything like it. Shortly after (and still to this day), there was a huge movement of artists that co-opted this approach. I wanted to include their work here because when you see this look, I want you to know where the echo started. I also want to say that this is just one of many tricks kidmograph has. They explore a wide range of styles and approaches, and they are continually evolving.
@mrdiv always had such a knack for color, compositing, and simplicity. When I was first learning 3D, they were a great artist for me to study because I saw how much emotion and reaction they can get with using very very little. I love the minimalism of their work.
I love how @maxcapacity incorporates vintage equipment in his process to create such wild psychedelic GIFs. They’re always pretty saturated with lovely colors. For me, there’s a heavy hitting moment with this work where I’m watching my childhood get spit back to me in perhaps a more truthful version than I even recall it. It’s hard to explain but the nostalgia lures me in, and then I’m cut with a darkness by them. There’s also some humor sprinkled in.
@zbags’s work is instantly recognizable with the way they use creepy lively eyeballs behind faces. Collin’s work is disturbing and fun. There’s always an added bonus in reading his wild descriptions and titles. When there was a file size limit to GIFs being posted on Tumblr, I was always impressed by their ability to get a very long and detailed animation into a small file. I think he’s doing lots of frame rate tricks I still don’t think I’ve ever figured it out.

Day 28-50: one YEAR gap!
When you decide to start an adventure, there will be days when nothing goes according to plan, you will get tired and there will be nothing you can do. Unfortunately, the path of learning digital painting is very boring and frustrating, and you may be discouraged from continuing it. Even if you have a lot of interest and motivation! … but why?
A year ago when I was doing the Constructive Form exercise, I found this wonderful reference from Worgen:
Tumblr media
At that moment, a thought came to my mind. I said to myself, why not take the training to a higher level? Designing one frame of a complex character is difficult, but designing several frames linked together to create an animation will be extremely challenging and exciting.
I had experience working with 3D software before, so I tried to design a "skeleton" for the character first, then implement "Basic Forms" based on them. However, I soon realized that establishing the sequence between consecutive frames requires more numerical calculations (at least it was for me).
Tumblr media
I have spent 22 days (43 hours) on this project but I finally decided to stop because it would take at least another 200 hours to finish!
Tumblr media
I preferred to spend these 200 hours on more valuable practice than on multiplication and division, which in the end the computer could do better than me.
But the one-year hiatus was not only because designing several forms in a row is a difficult task! It is true that perfectionism sometimes makes us stop doing anything, but my story was not limited to this issue. I was looking for a way to pursue art as a career and not just a hobby. I was looking for a way to find a place for myself in the animation or game industry at the age of 25 without any academic background in art. In this one year, I tried many ways, worked in a software company, and even spent 2 months in the military camp of the army. Finally, I came to the conclusion that I should prepare myself for the Master of Arts exam so that I can use the government scholarship, and now it has been a few months since I started studying for this exam. (I need to explain that in Iran, the top universities of the country accept all their students through a centralized entrance exam and all these people receive scholarships).
Anyway, I am back and I will share my exercises and daily life with you here, I hope you will share the joy of watching your work with me, I have recently found new friends here, whose efforts are very motivating for me.

Expected FAQs
Important Info:
This is an 18+ event.
This is an all-ships event.
No discord (can be made if people want it, but I'm not seeing a large response for this that would necessitate it yet)
The primary relationship for your fill must be a poly relationship.
Cheating does not count as a poly relationship.
All forms of content are accepted as long as ao3 allows it on their platform.
A couple helpful poly links:
More than Two
Terms: Their Glossary of Terms!
Prompts
Prompts are there for inspiration. They can be followed literally or figuratively. You can adhere to a trope, subvert it, or take it in a new direction. You can look up a definition for a word, or guess at the definition and see what you can create. Prompts can be taken as realistic, interpretive, or just plain weird. Prompts can be at the forefront of the work, in the background, or just the starting point of inspiration.
What does this prompt mean?
Whatever you want it to mean. Prompts are there for inspiration.
I don’t understand this prompt.
You can Google it or you can make something up and have fun with it. Prompts are there for inspiration.
My prompt is a quote. Is it required that a character say that?
No, it can be whatever you want: the title of the fic, the background words in an art piece, the overall concept of a piece, a song list where the titles spell out the quote, and so on. Get creative if you want to! Or just have a character say the quote if you want to! Prompts are there for inspiration.
I picked Hard Mode… Why would you make ___ a prompt?
Shhh, don’t ask questions. Just go with it. I believe in you.
Posting:
What are the event dates?
Posting begins as soon as the first bingo card goes out.
When do I get my card?
A unique Bingo Card will be issued within one week of sign-up. If it doesn't, send in a NON-ANON ASK.
- You may request up to 4 squares changed, and the request must be within a week.
Can I share my card?
Yes! You can share your card on any of your social media, with your friends, or in your servers.
Can I edit my card to cross off my fills?
Yes! Feel free to get creative with that and post updates on any of your social media, with your friends, or in your servers.
What happens if I don’t get a bingo?
Nothing! This is a low-pressure event meant for encouraging new poly works. If you don’t manage to complete anything or make a bingo, then nothing bad happens. You can just try, try again (but only if you want to!).
What counts as a bingo?
Bingos are any of the following: Rows, diagonals, columns, and/or four corners and the center. If you complete all the squares on your card, you have a blackout! Once you complete a bingo, you may request another one if you would like. You can do this as many times as you would like.
Tell me about blackouts.
A blackout is when you fill every square on your card with a unique fill. You are not required to get a blackout in order to request a new card. Once you receive a new card, your previous card is retired from this event, but you can still use the prompts as inspiration if you would like (but they will no longer count as a fill). You cannot combine prompts in order to fill them faster. Each prompt must have its own fill.
What counts as a fill?
Each fill must be completed and not posted behind a pay-wall. You can use one square per chapter of a multi-chapter fic if you would like, but each chapter must be a completed fill. If you are creating using other mediums, then we ask each fill be its own post, but they can, of course, be linked together
- 250 is the word count minimum.
- Art is any completed piece. Complete is defined as having all the necessary or appropriate parts. Art can be physical or digital and must be your own work. Art can include but is not limited to: sketch, line art, full render images, comic strips, 3D animation, 2D animation, fanvids (including music videos and trailers), photomanips, cell drawings, painting in all forms, sculptures, crafts, full cosplay photography, refracted light “painting”, wood carvings, ice sculptures, etc.
- Mood boards are a minimum of 6 pictures.
- Playlists need a minimum of ten songs.
- Podfics MUST have the owner’s consent and have it linked on AO3. Additionally, the fic being read must have a minimum of 250 words.
- Other creations, ask us and we will let you know what’s considered a fill!
- Collaborations are allowed and we don’t have any additional requirements for such.
- Cross-posting for other events is fine and we don’t have any additional requirements for such.
What about cheating?
Cheating does not count as poly for this event. For this, the minimum is three people actively and knowingly in a relationship with each other. That said, creations involving cheating are allowed. The cheating just needs to be outside the relationship.
Examples:
 - A&B together with C seeing B behind A’s back- NOT poly.
- A&B together, C&B together with A’s knowledge- poly.
- A&B&C all together - poly
- A&B&C getting together for the first time in any permutation - poly.
Badges
Will be posted as I'm able to make them and will be on the honor system. I plan to make four total (participant, bingo, multi-bingo, and blackout). You can add anything you want after downloading the png.
FAQs:
1. Are all ships allowed?
Yes! Just remember: the minimum is three people actively and knowingly in a relationship with each other. These people can be of any gender (or lack of gender).
2. Will we be able to fill cards with more than one ship or choose just one for the card?
You can fill it out with whatever you want!
3. Can I use Original Characters?
Yes, so long as the majority of the primary relationship contains Teen Wolf characters.
4. Do androids/life model decoys/intelligent fauna count as part of a ship?
- So long as they are capable of having an independent personality, have some form of communication, and you can sell it, then yes.
5. Can I use show, movie or old movie canon?
Yes! You can use any canon form, or mixed canon.
6. Does selfcest count as part of a ship?
Yes, so long as the duplicate/s remains as a consistent part of the relationship.
7. Can I do a crossover?
Yes, so long as the majority of the primary relationship contains Teen Wolf characters.
8. Can I collab with someone?
Collaborations are allowed and we don’t have any additional requirements for such.
9. I’m in multiple bingos. Can I cross-post if it fulfills the requirements of both bingos?
Yes. Cross-posting for other events is fine and we don’t have any additional requirements for such.
10. Cheating doesn’t count as poly, but cheating is a prompt!
A minimum of three people that are actively and knowingly in a relationship counts as poly for this bingo. If your work starts with cheating but there is a significant amount where all involved are in a relationship, then that is allowed. If someone or multiple people within a relationship are cheating outside of the relationship, then that is allowed.
11. Who is the mod?
@geekmom13 (failwolf13 on discord)
If I need more help, I'll bring another person on, but currently the response doesn't necessitate it

Reconstruction of Andy Warhol's paintings: Tracing the glory of Denny Ja with the help of artificial intelligence
Introduction: Welcome to our special article that will discuss a perfect combination of art and technology. In this article, we will explore the glory of a famous Indonesian artist, Denny JA, who succeeded in reconstructing iconic paintings from famous artists Andy Warhol. However, what makes this achievement more extraordinary is the use of artificial intelligence (AI) by Denny JA. Let's start this interesting trip! Andy Warhol's painting: Revive great works Andy Warhol is a famous artist from the United States known for his iconic works that combine art with popular culture. The striking color of color and the use of seigraphy techniques make his work stand out and different from the others. Warhol is famous for his works such as "Marilyn Monroe", "Campbell's Soup Cans", and "Elvis Presley". However, Warhol's works that are so famous are mostly beyond the reach of art fans in Indonesia. This is why Denny JA, a talented and innovative artist, decided to introduce Warhol's works to Indonesian audiences in a unique and interesting way. Denny Ja: A brave artist who combines arts and technology Denny Ja is known as an fearful artist in presenting his innovative ideas to the world of Indonesian art. As a big fan of Warhol, Denny Ja felt the need to bring Warhol's works to Indonesia to be enjoyed by the local community. However, a big challenge is how to reconstruct paintings that are so iconic with high details and authenticity. This is when Denny Ja decided to combine art with artificial intelligence. Denny Ja cooperates with AI expert teams to create an algorithm that is able to reconstruct Warhol paintings with high precision. This algorithm takes data and information available about Warhol's works, including the styles and techniques used by the artist. Artificial Intelligence Assistance: Transformation of Warhol Paintings With the help of artificial intelligence, Denny Ja succeeded in reconstructing Warhol paintings with amazing details. He uses high -level scanning technology to get the right visual data from each painting. Then, the AI algorithm that has been developed by the work team processes the data and is able to reconstruct each detail with a high level of accuracy. In addition to reconstructing Warhol paintings digitally, Denny Ja also uses 3D printing techniques to create physical replicas of these iconic works. By using high quality and high precision materials, Denny Ja is able to revive Warhol's works in physical form that can be enjoyed by the people of Indonesia. Impact and acceptance: Warhol across the boundary The reconstruction of Warhol's paintings by Denny Ja with the help of artificial intelligence has received an extraordinary welcome from the people of Indonesia. These works have succeeded in bringing art fans closer to Warhol's works that were previously difficult to access. Indonesian people can now enjoy its beauty and uniqueness without having to go to museums abroad. In addition, the combination of art and technology in this project has enriching the Indonesian art world. Denny JA not only reconstructed Warhol's paintings

Okay so
To most viewers, Novi’s window is overly-technologized garbage. As one of six digital-frame windows in the entire exhibition, it distinguishes itself by having so many separate images layered on top of each other (87,253!) that it becomes useless as a window - it is simply an opaque mess with just a little bit of transparent glass showing through. In a space where the other windows that look out across the city are overlaid with flowing lines coalescing into, among other things, the immaculate form of the Wind Goddess, or the haunting profiles of the islands of the future, you know, images that say something, it looks for all the world like Novi has leveraged an incredible amount of technological potential in order to say... nothing at all. This pisses off not only the traditionalists, who think that digital windows aren’t real art, and the other digital window artists, who see only wasted potential (two inches of glass! Enough to make 3D models out of consecutive layers! You could program the world’s most elaborate shadow puppet show into this thing!).
When he finally makes his way through all the distractions of the exhibition - over a hundred works of art that have “actual ideas” to express, hundreds of opinionated (and hot) people dressed in their finest - and stands in front of Novi’s window, Mobulas is faced with an absurd choice: does he accept what the artists and critics are saying about his friend’s work (namely, that it’s a rush job with no conceptual competence behind it), or does he trust the image of her he has in his mind, and justify the window’s seeming incoherence with the idea that Novi is simply playing a more complicated game than anyone realizes? See, it isn’t just the fact that they’re friends that motivates Mobulas to defend Novi from the critics. Or rather, it is the reason why he and Novi are friends that propels him to search for a charitable explanation. He sees her excessive dabbling in different arts and disciplines as indicative of her spirited pursuit of knowledge in all its forms - something he can relate to as a historian and osteographer.
Unable to find Novi, Mobulas begins a thorough examination of the work itself in the hopes of rescuing it (within his own imagination) from the depths of failure consigned to it by the experts. He discovers the window’s overlay display - hallucinatory-psychic projections emanating from the window’s computer. In addition to the images within the frame, the window projects its own public comment space. The comments are scathing, but there is something else here - a link to the “edit” layer, which controls ultimately which of the 87,253 images are displayed by the window. Using this, Mobulas could theoretically hide every layer and search through each image individually, laying bare the secrets of the window (or rather, proving that there are secrets in the first place). The only problem is, there are 87,253 layers, and the editing functions Novi programmed in (and apparently left open for anyone to access?) force Mobulas to go through the layers one at a time. If there is a deeper meaning to this, it lies at the end of an arduous process. And without Novi’s approval, the process feels a lot like vandalism, which is unacceptable no matter how much people hate the artwork. The absurdity of the situation dawns on Mobulas in an instant: to actually mount a defense of Novi’s window, in which he sees only the glimmering potential of a mystery, he must destroy the sanctity of the divide between artist and observer, and hack the thing to pieces in front of the entire exhibition.
Naturally, Mobulas refuses to do this without Novi’s permission. He calls her to ask if he’s on the right track. By now a crowd has gathered around the window to dismantle Mobulas’ half-baked theory and question his credentials alongside hers. When Novi arrives, the question is put to her whether there is a true message at the end of the 87,253 images. Her response:
“Okay so... instead of trusting your own sacred self as to what reality is telling you, you are asking me what it all means. Me! Am I the Wind Goddess? Do I know your heart better than you do? Here, let me bequeath upon you my wisdom: the very last image is a dick I drew in my notebook when I was bored in class. There’s only one way to prove this, and if you go through that process you are going to murder me out of sheer frustration when you finally find the truth. If you can get that, then you already have everything this window can teach you.”

GIF’s come in many compositions, ideas and forms, just like all art. little screen capture program called LICECap (and hardly a day goes by that I dont. How to Make an Animated Gif in Photoshop CS5 the easy way!įinally, a few examples below show what a good GIF might be like. As suggested it needs to work on desktop and mobile devices. But if not, we’ve compiled this short list of resources that can lead you on the path towards GIF glory. It’s likely they already exceed your capabilities with computer-based tools and showing off their visual prowess and can school you in the fine art of GIF making already. Anyone can submit their work for viewing, if you’ve made it this far you are probably considering participating, or maybe getting your daughter or younger brother to make one for you. All GIFs accepted into the program will be shown on the 14th and Champa LED screen during Supernova Digital Animation Festival. That changes this year as Supernova Digital Animation Festival hosts the first ever Gifathon. But where you almost never see them is on a giant public LED screen! GIFs are used for many things in today’s society, you’ll find them online, on your devices, in newsletters, in museums (well, maybe online galleries), really they can go anywhere and be for anything. Show us your latest dance move, animate a painting, bring your sculpture to life in 3d, define your practice or organizations mission in a 2-10 second animation.

We will see but I got a feeling here that the default channels are the main reason why there is no support for VST3 based simply how VST3 plugins check for the inputs on the track.Get your GIF on, it's fun, reasonably easy, and a great way to express your creativity or worldly sensibilities through simple, striking, inexpensive animation.ĭenver Digerati seeks to bring the art community together through the magic of GIF’s, an opportunity to reflect the wide array of exceptional voices and vocations from the art community. LICEcap is an intuitive but flexible application (for Windows and now OSX), that is designed to be lightweight and function with high performance. The default track channels may be the reason why there is no VST3 support yet.Īs you know Reaper's routing is completely stereo based ( No dedicated Mono tracks or Busses) or even the Cockos plugins all are default to 2 channels ( No dedicated Cockos mono plugins) in order to work fully MONO with plugins that do not have the seperate MONO version you have uncheck the VST pins for the second channel in and out. If the VST3 plugin loads the Stereo/Mono/Surround version by looking at the channels on the track that it is loaded unto then all VST3 plugins will load as Stereo since Reaper's default track channels are 2 ( no option for 1 channel tracks) So Since Reaper's routing is 2 channels default and there are no track types so that the plugin sees a MONO track ( 1 channel) or 2 channels ( Stereo) or more 5.1 ( more channels) this may be the reason why VST3 is not yet supported. Future plug-ins may replace the common MIDI interface with alternative methods of control" Typically, this is a MIDI input for control/modulation but these busses are no longer restricted to MIDI standard only. In addition to their flexible audio bussing capabilities, VST3 plug-ins may also offer a dedicated event bus. In fact, it stands for Lightweight Image Composition Engine, and it’s a fantastic little tool to grab sections of your screen and save them as gifs of any length you like. Interaction between channels depends on the type and design of the plug-in. Similar in hilarity to another open source beauty, LAME, fortunately, it’s better than it sounds. Each audio channel is processed independently. For example, all the new VST3 plug-ins in Nuendo 4 can work in stereo-mode when inserted into a stereo channel, but switch to 6 channels when inserted into a 5.1 channel. Their I/O configuration can dynamically adapt to the channel configuration they’re inserted in, meaning that any VST3 plug-in can be surround-capable with true multi-channel processing. VST3 plug-ins are no longer limited to a fixed number of inputs and outputs. Reading Straight from Steinbergs Site a possible reason why Reaper may not work with VSt3

What counts as art? FAQ
Really almost any medium is accepted. If you can upload it onto the internet in some fashion, we love it. Please note that writers will be able to opt-out of receiving podfic or poetry during Claims.
We accept:
➼ Digital mediums (drawing, painting, comics, 3D modeling, interactive game design)
Game design should include at least 4 "scenes": an intro + at least 3 branching choices. They can be limited to text. Additional complexity in number of choices, coding, or visual design will count as more art pieces. Talk with the mods if you have questions or concerns about scope.
➼ Traditional mediums (drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, papercutting, collage)
➼ Graphics (book covers, movie posters, banners, gifs and gif sets, manips)
Graphics should at least be 540px wide and 250px tall to count as one art piece. A graphic that’s 540px wide and 800px tall still only counts as one art piece.
Gifs and gif sets should include some kind of artistic treatment or editing if using pre-existing media as the base. A gif set should be a minimum of 540px wide and include either three gifs or two gifs and one still that together tell a story or convey a moment to count as one art piece.
➼ Vids/AMV (traditional vids and animation)
Vids should include both visuals and audio, and be a minimum of 30 seconds. [So a 90 second vid would count as 3 art pieces.]
Animation (excludes gifs) should include a minimum of 15 frames. [So a 5 second animation with 30 frames would count as two art pieces.]
➼ Audio (sound mixes, soundscapes, podfics, fanmixes)
Sound mixes and soundscapes should include at least three separate tracks or sounds layered together and should be a minimum of 30 seconds. [So a 60 second sound mix would count as two art pieces.]
Podfics should be at least one recorded voice reading/performing the text and be a minimum of 20 minutes. [So a 1 hour podfic would count as 3 art pieces.]
Fanmixes should contain a minimum of 8 songs and don’t require cover art. [So a 10 song fanmix with cover art counts as 2 art pieces.]
➼ Poetry
Poetry should be a minimum of 300 words
We define poetry as: a poem communicates heightened emotion or an intense moment through the creative use of rhythm, meaning, and sound/rhyme. It emphasises the musical quality present in language. This can be a single poem or suite of connected poems, in any traditional form (sonnet, ballad, etc) or modern free verse.
If you don’t see a medium listed here that you create and want to participate in the event, contact the mods. We’re pretty flexible.
Please do not reblog.

The Best Cinema Videos
Cinema films are a single of the most pleasant techniques to devote an evening with your buddies. There are numerous motives to go to a cinema movie, and we'll cover a couple of of them in this write-up. Plus, if you're hunting for something a tiny different, you can even make your very own! Go through on to discover the very best cinema videos, and how to get began! As soon as you've figured out the greatest film theaters, you can make reservations at a single of them. Movies have always fascinated the human thoughts, and they're no different these days. In truth, they've aided us discover many diverse topics, from art to science and every little thing in between. From science fiction to historical fiction, the medium of film has impacted the way we see the world, and Peter Conrad will take us on a journey by means of the background of movie. Whether we're speaking about the evolution of the medium, or the development of cinema as an artwork form, the fundamentals of cinema have remained reasonably constant. Movies typically make viewers feel as if the events onscreen are actual, but that's not usually the case. The most common kind of film audiences react to are people that depict a intercourse scandal or a white slave. This is due in component to the fact that film is the only medium that can carry moving photographs to a mass audience, and viewers will typically accept film codes with out question. Whilst movie critics phone unique effects a minimal kind of movement picture art, the reality is that these films aren't all that accurate. The acceptance of 3D movies started in the 1950s, but they weren't wildly popular till lately. The recognition of these movies grew exponentially all through the 2000s. In 2009, a unique Planet three-D Exposition at Grauman's Egyptian Theatre celebrated the 50th anniversary of the 3-D craze. Films in 3-D had been screened alongside more than thirty "golden-era" characteristics and shorts. The occasion featured a renowned three-D preservationist named Robert Furmanek, who spent 15 many years preserving the films that had starred in 3D. Some stars of three-D motion pictures have been there, which includes Julie Adams and Richard Carlson. In the end, sold-out theaters enthralled the star to tears. Films are typically categorized into series. Movies in the exact same genre share characters, and their stories typically overlap. A series is formed when movies with the identical characters and storyline seem in a number of films. These films are sometimes referred to as prequels or sequels. กองกำลังประจัญบาน holds true for digital video and streaming media. In addition to the differences in medium, the two terms are frequently used interchangeably. In addition, the cinema itself is synonymous with the theatrical exhibition of movies. The very first 3D movie was made in 1960. September Storm was the initial cinema film to integrate CinemaScope and 3D. The film featured a double-stripe camera and was a blow-up of a non-anamorphic damaging. Space Assault is the final film to be designed in dual-strip format. It was in fact shot underneath the title The Adventures of Sam Room. The 3D movies have been wildly well-known at the time and continued to increase in reputation for decades.

Hi and welcome to the second year of the Sam and Max Secret Santa! This is all hosted by Henrietta/@vvorldtours and the help of some of my friends as well!
What is the Sam and Max Secret Santa?
The Sam and Max Secret Santa is an annual event in which fans of Sam and Max can have a chance to gift art to one another and receive art as well! Fans are assigned with one another anonymously and are able to create gifts for one another, which will all be revealed to their gift recipient on December 25th!
This event is something I’ve been passionate about ever since I’ve started it, despite not being very strongly into Sam and Max anymore. I still fully intend to run this event for a while until I choose to hand off the format and notes to someone else to continue. This is the second year I’m running the Secret Santa so a couple of things have changed now! I’m still aiming to improve this event as much as I can and ensure everyone is able to have fun whilst participating in it.
What’s changed?
New admins! In my first year, the event was solely run by me, which was difficult to keep up with and resulted in some issues. To alleviate this, I’m having my friends, @/wiihtigo and @/boobsometwosome, help me out in this event so that things will be able to run more smoothly.
The event will now be held over discord! In the year prior, I kept in touch with each person over their preferred social platform, which was difficult to keep up with and also made things messier. There will now be a discord server in which event participants will receive invites to and can also interact with the other participants as well. This will also be used for event updates, check-ins, and any other event-related stuff. Unfortunately, because of this, you must have discord to join this event as the server is necessary for me to be able to keep track of who is in the event and be able to keep in contact with everyone. I’m trying to keep everything as organized as possible, and this is the best way for me to be able to do this.
Longer Deadlines! Since I now have more experience in running this event alongside the items to do so, I’m now able to extend the deadlines and allow for more time for people to work on their Secret Santas.
How do I sign up?
The sign-ups are on Google Forms and are linked here! There will also be a link at the bottom of this post and a link in the bio of this account.
Anyone can sign up, with the only restrictions that you do not ask for offensive stuff or that you’re being an awful person. This includes the promotion of anything racist, LGBT-phobic, pedophilic, being shitty about what you receive, etc. I will drop you if you behave in this sort of way. I want this to be an event safe for all, including minors and those trying to stray away from anything of the sort. Please be respectful of this and of others, as this event is done mainly as a way for everyone to have the chance to be able to do something fun and do something nice for others.
What is the timeline?
The due date for all sign-ups will be Monday, November 22nd. Partner assignments and discord invites will be sent on Monday, November 22nd through Wednesday, November 24th.
I am also implementing a check-in on December 15th, for people who want to drop out or still need more time with their piece. I’m not expecting everyone to have their completed piece by this point and am mostly doing it for the purpose of partner readjustment, should it be necessary.
The final due date will be on December 23rd unless someone has specifically asked for an extension beyond this date. All pieces will be sent on December 25th and any late pieces by back-up Secret Santas or by those who need extensions will be sent from December 26th to December 31st.
Anything else I need to know?
Art and Writing are currently only the mediums that are being accepted. Art can be defined as anything that is traditional, digital, 3D, anything like that. All art is expected to be finished to some extent and any writing that is submitted will have a word count minimum of 500 words. Writing can also be posted to Ao3 as well.
If you do not send a piece to your partner without dropping out or letting me know about an extension, then this will also disable you from participating in the Secret Santa next year. I was lenient last year, but this also resulted in some participants not receiving gifts which was unfair to those who also put in the work. I’m trying to ensure everyone receives a gift, so please respect this decision.
Do not use other people’s content to gift to others. What this means is don’t trace or steal others’ works and try to pass it off as your own.
Please be respectful of others' discomforts and vice versa. If you aren’t I won’t hesitate to drop you.
When you receive the invite to the Discord server, please follow the rules that are listed and do not post any WIPs of your piece. Please do not post any WIPs on any public account or any place your partner may be able to see it.
This is a minor friendly event. This means that NSFW will not be allowed at all. This includes if you choose to post your piece on a public account, as I will not allow you to do so on a publicly NSFW account. I want to ensure the safety of minors and I will not hesitate to drop you or bar you from next year’s Secret Santa.
Once again, if you have any more questions, concerns, or comments, then feel free to let me know! I am busy with stuff in my own life, but I am trying my best to organize this and be able to respond to anything that’s needed!
Sign-ups here!
[ P.S. Reblogs heavily appreciated! ]

Rules
1. This event follows Wheaton’s Law here: Don’t be a dick.
Being a dick includes, but is not limited to:
 - Ship hate. I get it, shipping is a mess at times. We all have ships we aren’t fond of. But I will not allow those arguments here since it’s open to all relationships. (Yes, this means I accept ALL ships)
 - Being hateful towards any sexuality, gender, religion, kink, etc.
 - Cutting down other creators.
 - Purposely antagonizing another member.
 - If you are asked to spoiler graphic content, please do. (Ships you don’t like are not considered graphic content, ever.)
 - Purposefully engaging with content that triggers/squicks you.
2. For posted fills, you must tag your submissions appropriately. Any triggers MUST be tagged clearly. If you are unsure if something is a trigger, please feel free to ask. Or, you can always tag it just in case as a precaution.
3. No AI please.
4. This is an 18+ event. If I find out you lied about being an adult, I will remove you.
5. I know that people are busy. We all have lives, right? Because of that, this is a low-pressure event. If you can only fill one square, that is totally fine! If you make a Bingo, THEN HAVE ANOTHER CARD! This event is for us to have fun, no matter how much you are able to commit to.
 - Mood boards/gif sets are a minimum of 6 images.
 - Playlists need a minimum of ten songs.
 - Podfics MUST have the owner’s consent and have the original linked on AO3. Additionally, the fic being read must have a minimum of 250 words.
 - Other creations, ask us and I will let you know what’s considered a fill!
- Collaborations are allowed, and we don’t have any additional requirements for such.
- Cross-posting for other events is fine, and I don’t have any additional requirements for such.
7. Bingo definitions for this event
Bingos are any of the following: Rows, diagonals, columns, and/or four corners and the center. If you complete all the squares on your card, you have a blackout! Once you complete a bingo, you may request another card if you would like. You can do this as many times as you would like.
8. A unique Bingo Card will be issued within one week of sign-up. (I will post a notice if things come up and there is a delay.)
 - You may request up to 4 squares changed, and the request must be within a week.
10. Don’t repost past work - all work must be new, and created specifically for the event. New chapters and parts of a ‘verse are fine
11. Aro and Ace are allowed. QPR it up if you want.
12. If ao3 allowed it, so do I. Tags, themes, AUs, etc.
