Cody Fett lived in the lighthouse at the edge of the sea by the beachside town of Kamino, and no matter what his brothers said he was fine with his life and routine. He didn't intend to get wrapped up with one of the town's newest residents, one Obi-Wan Kenobi, but the more he fell for the man the more he wanted to know about him and his strange family.

Cody turns slowly in a circle, feeling the fabric of the skirt move with him. He finishes the first turn, and when he looks at Aria and Obi-Wan for approval, Obi-Wan gestures for him to keep going.

And so he does, spinning faster this time. The skirt whooshes with him, flaring out in a wide circle of blue fabric. He spins again, faster, mesmerized by the movement, until he has to stop or risk falling over.

“Oh wow,” he says, breathless, as the skirt settles back around his legs. His vision spins slightly, unhappy with the sudden change in motion, and Cody reaches for Obi-Wan to steady himself. “Wow.”

During a standard return trip to Coruscant, the stardestroyer Curiosity disappears. It leaves no trace.

Now, two years later, it sends a homing signal.

As the 212th investigates the abandoned ship, a terrible picture starts to form of the crew’s final days. Scorch-marks on the walls. Blaster shots. The deep cuts of a lightsaber.

When Thumper starts hearing the voice of a dead batch-mate, it becomes apparent that whatever is responsible for the death of the 97th attack legion may still be aboard.

And it’s in their heads.

Summary:

Seven years after the war, unease still plagues the galaxy, which means the Jedi are as busy as ever. For Jedi Master and Council Member Obi-Wan Kenobi, having been Temple ridden for more than a year after a mission gone wrong, getting back into the action comes with not only danger to his body but his heart as well. 

Five years after the Clone Rights Act, formally known as the Recognition of Sentient Beings Rights and Obligations under the Galatic Republic, passes, former Marshal Commander Cody of the GAR has been traveling the galaxy in orange-spackled beskar’gam taking the odd job here and there, some for money some for the thrill but some still because he just can’t stop himself from helping people. 

Three years after last seeing each other in a fraught confrontation that left both men hurting, Jedi Master and former Commander are brought together to once more bring peace to and do good for a young planet that is trying to join the Republic, despite the machinations of the ruling council. 

These estranged lovers must put aside the pain of their last encounter to save a people in desperate need of assistance. Oh, and maybe makeup along the way.

The air shifted next to him and the Force sang out in warning with half a second before a strong gloved hand grabbed his right bicep. Obi-Wan reacted on instinct honed through decades of fights, managing to pull himself away but not entirely, as the attacker used his momentum against him, shoving Obi-Wan against the cool garden wall, knocking the air from his lungs, a vibro knife gleaming at his throat before the Force he had time to warn him. 

“Getting slow, old man,” the modulated voice coming from the helmeted figure still somehow managed to be achingly fond and familiar. 

Obi-Wan felt the Force grow warm around him and he took a deep breath, feeling his skin scrape against the blade as he swallowed. No wonder the Force presence felt dulled, the person was wearing beskar, a whole kit from the looks of it, black with painted swirls of orange, a familiar orange that made Obi-Wan’s heart clench. But he couldn’t be here. Could he?

Summary:

It was supposed to be an easy job: prisoner transports are always quick money.

Three years after waking up from cryo, Cody—formerly known as ICC-2224—finds himself  working as a bounty hunter for one of the guilds. He has a body that doesn’t feel his, a memory full of holes, and little else. When the man he’s guarding escapes, Cody finds himself following one Obi-Wan Kenobi across a war-torn galaxy and into the most dangerous job of all: stealing a mysterious artifact from the heart of the New Republic.

It occurs to him that he should be better at this. That he used to be. He feels—he feels rusty, and slow, but not lost. He knows how to navigate this game of shadows and half-lies, and it shocks him, because he had thought it was not in his nature to be anything less than blisteringly, defiantly honest. But it is like muscle memory, in a way: Cody smiles slowly behind his helmet and places his boots back on the dirty carpet and leans forward, mirroring Kenobi’s posture on the other bed, and watches with careful eyes while the former hunter resettles.

“Why,” Cody says. Kenobi blinks.

“Why what?”

Cody clicks off the vocoder. He wants to use his own voice for this.

“Why do we have to make this work, Kenobi.”

Silence blooms between them. Kenobi stands up from the bed. His long legs take him back to the window, and he stops there, arms folded, staring at Cody. His face is half-bathed in golden light: it dances on his fair eyelashes, on the freckles on the bridge of his broken nose.

“By the time this is over, you will let me walk away,” Kenobi says. He smiles. It’s not an answer, and it’s not cocky: it’s not even especially smug, just self-assured. It makes Cody want to hit him.

“Bold of you to believe any of us will survive this,” he replies.

Go in, destroy an installation, escape with everyone knowing they were the ones who did it. There's no reason this job should be any different to the hundreds of others they've completed for the Rebellion. When things go wrong, they have to work with the Shadows, an elite team sent in as their backup. With the revelations of just who the Shadows and the Revenants are, things become even more complicated.

Moving from mission to mission, they have to take the time when they can, unpacking the fallout from the five years apart and finding a way to move forward together.
