Art recap!

Compared to 2022, this year wasn't as experimental but I'm not bothered with that, I had a lot of fun with my art this year and also found more stuff that I love to do, so art did end up taking a bit of a side step this year (cue to march, where I barely had anything to grab from because I was playing way too much lol)

College also interefered with that a lot, but I still kept going!

It was also a good year on challenges, as I participated on artfight for the first time and went back to doing huevember (and did all days!)

Half of the art here is fanart but I'm very happy with the ammount of original content I've done, it was a nice change of pace compared to 2021 and 2022

Can't wait for how 2024 will turn out for my art :]

when did you first start drawing

oooh this is a tricky question to answer, since my family all tells me ive been drawing my whole life!! i've had phases drawing more/less often at different points in my life, but have been a lot more focused on it in the last 2-3 years, which is also around when i started drawing furries (which i hadn't really done at all beforehand funnily enough)

i can dig through some of the files on my computer, though, and find a few examples of digital art over the years, before this i did a lot of stuff on paper or on my ipad, which i dont have much access to anymore

Once again, I think my art retrospective will require a post of its own, much like last year. (Hopefully by the time you read this, I will have edited this post to include a link, otherwise you can search for it in my blog if you’re curious.) It’s somewhat funny in that I didn’t really want to do one at first: namely because they’re time-consuming to write, and I thought I wouldn’t have much to say in the first place. But the more I think about it and with 2023 commemorating ten years of my online art profile, I feel like I’m honestly obligated to write down some sort of reflection--if not specifically for 2023, at least for the whole ten yards.

*Note: This is an acknowledgement that there exists one artwork I made this year, published under an alternative label/on an alternate blog, that got more notes than most of the art in this list. Had it been included in this Top Ten, it would had been #2, and everything else after #1 would had been shifted down one slot. Said artwork however does feature content I prefer not to post under this label/on this blog, which is why it’s not being included in this list.

2022 Art Retrospective!!

Honestly a lot happier with this than I thought I'd be. Faltered a bit with rendered backgrounds at the end there, but honestly? not a big deal.

This displays just- so much brainrot. DnD, DbD, Destiny, and most importantly: gift art. Each drawing is from a different month, just liked how it looked without the labels.
