Legit BJDs Under $100

I got inspired by the below livestream to make a list of BJDs--other than the obvious ones that get passed around--that I know that are under $100 USD (not including shipping). Please watch the video below if you’re a newbie, and not aware of BJDs like Resinsoul.

Please note, I'm NOT COMPLETELY sure of the authenticity of all the dolls I'm about to list, but I'm at least 85% sure they're legit and made by the artist selling or made with permission. (PLEASE PLEASE tell me (gently) if I’m wrong.)

Also, note I haven't bought from any of these myself yet, so read the reviews and do your own research. I'm just one of those people who really likes tiny dolls, so I did a bunch of searching. I am in no way an expert in anything.

Not all of these exactly fit the BJD guidelines of DoA, but they are at least BJD-ish with strung joints and made of resin or another kind of plastic, as far as I understand.

Btw, NO BULLYING ACCEPTED ON THIS POST. I don’t wanna hear drama here, nor do I wanna hear people shaming people for lack of money. I’m making this list as a resource for those who want cheap legit BJD dolls, so keep it kind here.

My wig for my 1/12th bjd arrived recently, and the wig maker included a teeny tiny wig as a sample of what other colors would look like. And luckily, the teeny tiny wig fit my 1/24th scale bjd by ArtBjdDoll perfectly!

Kind of weird lighting today and I didn’t feel like getting out the real camera, but I wanted to get some pics of the little 1/12 scale bjd that has joined my dolly family. I wanted to get pics of all three of my 1/12 bjd (the two I have from Raysvet Dolls and this new tiny from ArtBjdDoll) but since the wig I ordered for this doll is trapped somewhere in the bowels of the USPS I had to steal one of the wigs from my Raysvet dolls and didn’t want to photograph my poor dolly without a wig.

I really love that this doll is so detailed and articulated at this size. If you have seen previous posts from me, I also have an 11cm 1/24 scale bjd from ArtBjdDoll, that is also amazingly articulated. This doll is the newer mold, and has a bit more articulation (joints at the neck and additional joints at the waist). I know not everyone likes the 3D printed bjd, but to be able to get an amazingly detailed resin bjd in such a tiny size (and for such a great price) is all I’ve ever wanted🙂

Finally did the faceup on my teeny tiny 11cm bjd by ArtBJDDoll/Yaroslav Nekrasov. It was not fun trying to paint a face the size of my fingernail, but I managed to get something passable done in the end. I also made the teeny wig, and even though I’m terrible at wigs at least. Did manage to get something done. Have no idea what I’m going to do for clothes for this doll since even the tiniest clothes I have on hand are too big - I’m starting to fear I’ll have to make something myself, which I imagine will not be easy.

This doll is intended for a dollhouse I’m working on, and I’m looking forward to getting all the pieces in place so I can get lots of PCs of this doll in there.
