My bad guys I have been drawing Usu with the color palette of a normal fly and i just realized that human botflies have orange cream colored legs and antennae and blue asses. Sorry I’ll do better next time bug community.

Hellooo!! I was investigating about bugs yesterday and i wanted to know what was the name of that Scarab / Beetle species that looks iridescent! I actually thought they were medium sized but it turns out they are small! They are called Dogbane Beetles or Dogbane Leaf Beetles and they are Gorgeous AND tiny! So i decided to create a character for the ‘Underrated Animals Story’ (Name under construction) story i’m making!

His name is Mimo! Him and Usu were a couple before he sadly passed away in an accident. (Lore? Oho!)

Here is both of them with their prom outfits! Aren’t they gorgeous?!?!?

I really love Mimo's design! The way you colored him is so cool ;w; Are there any fun facts you could share about him? Does he have any hobbies? Or did he and Usu meet, if that's not a spoiler haha.

Also you mentioned a human radio in one of your posts, so I was wondering if humans are still around in this setting, and if the bugs can communicate with them or if the humans just see them as normal bugs.

World's Tiniest Usu

Her name is actually Ushui Fierai, but please refer to her as Usu! :D She is a human botfly! She is really, really shy and introverted but she has a kind heart. Did you know Human Botflies got their names because they can sting and infest humans? Eww, right?

Man I love arthropods

Me and the gang when we make a hollow knight reference. Finally, my autistic special interest is showing (I AM ALMOST 20. WTH brain) AND ITS BUGGYS!! I LOVE BUGS! I'm gonna start posting about my arthropod OC's so much I am sorry to the guys who liked the food people (gourmet guardians) but it's time for BUGS. Whatever, go my scarabs.

In Melancholy Valley is always raining, no matter the time or the season, rain will always be present in the tall grass. All over it, there is a human object, emitting a subtle, almost reverent melody, sorrowful and full of tranquility. The melody never stops, nor does the rain, making Melancholy Valley a precious place to spend quiet nights or lonely days, but, we can always enjoy solitude together, right?

Usu and Mimo are resting on one leaf from a tall flower, under the rain, singing wordless songs on tune with the distant melody.

The human object is an Old radio that plays a broken, distant , Omnichord version of Drift Away from Steven Universe.

I made a little edit to somehow portray how it sounds, it’s not exact, but it’s something.

This would be the end of the story, after fighting the sun you have to watch as The Protagonist, Usu, agrees to become the next guardian of the sun in exchange for her world not dying, but ultimately resulting into her death and disappearing.

You have no choice but to see what the journey was leading to finally coming to an end, you saved the world, but, at what cost?
