Some saw barnacles, others nests, one thought of open mouths, another of fortune cookies. Installation details of my work ‘Inarticulations’ for the first of the ‘Ferret’ exhibition openings @articulateprojectspace. Opening tomorrow, 6-8pm Friday 26 Jan 2018 - all welcome! - then open 11-6 Fri, Sat & Sun. ‘Inarticulations (paintless paintings)’, 2018 Glue gesso and beeswax varnish on canvas, copper tacks, dimensions variable. These ‘Inarticulations’ utilise scale, materiality and the absence of paint to play upon the role of the body, expression and expectation in painting. Thank you everyone for coming to the opening of FERRET tonight. It was hot. At the end noticed this little violet / yellow afterglow happening after a bit of interactivity with Martin Langthorne’s red / green work on the opposite wall.
