#ArtoftheDay --> 'King Kong', by internationally collected artist Vito Bonanno, from his Obsessions & Meditations series - made with aerosol, acrylic, craypas, paint marker, archival glitter on canvas, 53.5 “ x 63.5” framed. This art piece was acquired by Amazon, they purchased 6 of Bonanno's original pieces for one of their corporate buildings in Seattle. Vito Bonanno taps into the daily emotional and social challenges of living with autism, placing his innermost feelings onto canvas. His work is image and concept driven and embedded in his personal philosophy. His art contains the essence of his life, feelings, thoughts and dreams, coupled around objects or topics that “get stuck in his head”, including traffic lights, grids, ceiling fans, graffiti and pop culture. Corporate clients include Amazon, Google and The Hartford. Prints of this piece are available through ArtLifting, their mission is to empower individuals living with disabilities through the celebration and sale of their artwork. Prints are produced on demand on either mounted wrapped canvas or giclee fine art paper in a variety of sizes here in the United States. when i started out digital art, the hardest thing was getting a device. especially when i was young, with unsupportive parents, and an empty bank account.

amongst all the really important causes right now, do you think there's any spare change to donate to my summer project , artlift? my goal is to crowdfund and buy art tablets for ( young ) people who need them.

The artwork on this wall was created by a formerly homeless artist, Scott Benner. Through the sale of his work, Scott was able to secure housing, and he gained a new sense of joy and purpose doing what he loves. I would totally recommend looking at this gallery if you’re looking to liven up your walls while helping empower some awesome artists!!

#ArtoftheDay --> 'Silos', from my 2015 Anxiety & Dreams series. "Vito Bonanno’s art is a mirror into his inner being. His art resembles the multi-layered, chaotic thought process of his mind where images, thoughts, and words float around in a bumper-car like a world, crashing and speeding in all directions. They rarely park into a memory garage to be taken out only when wanted, but instead barge their way around the crowded streets of his mind, all fighting to be in front of the line. Bonanno finds relief from these visual intrusions by putting them down onto canvas until layers are added over layers, sometimes obliterating the entire drawing underneath, other times allowing some of the underdrawings and the emotions they evoke to peak through."
