Senjuro isn't a swordfighting guy, he's just not comfy playing offense, he's organized and supportive and observant and kind of a nervous wreck tbh. so let's play to Senjuro's strengths. first lower the stakes a bit, life and death is way too intense. put him on a team instead of making him fight solo. give him a role that focuses on returning a hit rather than making the first move. libero. goalie. catcher. what I'm saying is Senjuro would absolutely thrive in a sports anime and it's killing me that I can't pluck him out of Taisho era Japan and drop him off at Karasuno High in modern-day Miyagi.
