For sure. Honestly one thing about playing healers in games is how angering/unappreciated they are. So all that rage being channeled into a 12 year old with no filter works for me. That coupled with the main group being capable of handling her means that while she does drag her feet on non damage actions, she still helps.

Erza specifically is the one person in the guild who can force her in line with just a look. She respects erza and is intimidated by her. She also has a soft spot for Lucy even if she gives her trouble because Lucy pays attention to things she does and doesn't like and accommodates her better than most adults. Meanwhile with natsu and Gray, it's varying levels of the Cain instinct.

I think there's also this superiority angle. The "I can do something no one else can so I'm better" thing.

Wendy having healing from the jump also leans into the self sufficiency side of things that would make accepting help more difficult. Because she had things handled before joining fairy tail. Didn't need anyone else to assist her but things have changed.
