thank you so much @orlaite for tagging me to list either my top 9 favourite books of 2023 OR my tbr books for 2024

I am doing the latter (very late) since 2023 was less than… perfect (too many textbooks, not enough free time reading, not enough discriminating while choosing material …)

tagging anyone who sees this and wants to do it

#might have bended the rules as I added a play and a book I began in late 2023 #any excuse to mention Brecht really #as atrophied and meatless as last year had been one book was a favourite #among an audience of one … me #A leg to stand on by Oliver W. Sacks #unremarkable at first glance (to some) maybe but particularly the sections dealing with anosognosia appealed to me greatly #I would read it on the bus to and from work and no book of its kind stirred me so #I’m talking brick in my throat
