worst thing that ever happened to me wrt reading ace attorney fic is learning the difference between a cravat and a jabot

#ace attorney #my life is fucking over #if i could stop being pedantic i would.#i have to live this way all the time #but it's too late it's incurable #i know edgeworth wears a jabot and as a result i suffer every day #worst part is that a jabot and a cravat don't even look similar #apparently cravat can mean a few different things depending on where you're from #esp wrt ascots and like. normal ties #but generally it's like #a thick tie with some kind of fancy knot i guess #vs a jabot which is lace or frills #literally edgeworth's frilly thing is not even CLOSE to being a cravat #and knowing that makes my life a living hell #it's a jabot and i wish i didn't know and i wish even more that i didn't care #but I'm stuck this way
