Athena appeared the most distraught when I saw her for the first time after. She looked so sad, and looked at him with regret upon seeing the progression of his corruption. She had seen him before, once. But that was a long time ago, when both of us were much younger and I was less affected. She and I made the decision to tell Olive and Anton when they came around that I would die if I ever took it off, and that's partly the truth.

ATHENA: Gemma, you are correct to be concerned. This is not good.

ANTON: What does Athena even mean? She's always so cryptic.

OLIVE: Well, Anton, just let her explain damn you, she's been with them the longest.

AT: If what Olive is saying is true, the Realm is now unbalanced. I once saw them without their bracelet.

O: What?! Don't they die if they take it off?

AT: Worse. They become a being of pure chaos and corruption. Their eyes become pitch black and start bleeding. Their hands turn black and they grow claws. Mx. Ember and their corrupted self are not the same person. There is no trace of Morgyn Ember once that bracelet comes off.

O: I saw the corrupted version of them physically separated from them. That's the other "Morgyn".

AT: Sage El must have separated them. If the corruption was bad enough, it could lead to the destruction of the Realm as we know it. They have been spared. But the other...

O: The other guy is permanently corrupted.

AT: Yes.

O: So basically now we have a giant ass problem on our hands.

AT: We do indeed, but it's best not to interfere with the corrupted Ember. Especially now. The corruption must have exceeded the point of safety, so they're probably even worse than I remember.

O: Yeah, that would make sense... Yesterday was nuts for me, seems like it was for Doc too.
