(WONDERFUL art commissions by the lovely @asiriyep I cannot sing their praises enough!!!) This is my OC from Oh Honey, There Goes Your Bastard. She's just a little bean. A bb cinnamon roll that lives with the Akatsuki because circumstances and only really excels at being awkward and cute. Begrudging and reluctant father figure Kakuzu is having none of her shit rn though. (She is wholly unperturbed by this.) She's with Lucky here, Kakuzu's somewhat accidental fifth heart creature that has to live outside Kakuzu's body now. He has 1/2 a brain cell, struggles to keep his threads to himself, collects shiny objects, and is a menace. I love them and am not done screaming over this art.

Sweater Fever

Kakashi Hatake x gn!Reader

Prompt: “Wait, no, don’t take off my sweater, I like how it looks on you.”

Summary: For Kakashi, there is no better sight than you in his sweater.

The soft material against which you snuggled felt gentle against her skin, its thickness keeping you warm with your hands safely tucked into the sleeves of the oversized sweater. You let out a small sigh from the feeling of comfort coming along with the piece of clothing, its serenity washing over you in small waves, delicately rocking the calm sea of your mind.

From by the door you heard a deep chuckle resonating as soon as you had practically buried yourself into the cozy sweater, a totally relaxed expression blooming on your features. Your head snapped to meet the source of the melodic sound, only to find a certain silver-haired staring at you, a soft smile playing underneath his mask.

You mirrored his smile, giving him one of pure delight back as your gazes met, neither of you speaking a word. Under his stare, you almost became shy, a flush crawling up your neck to lightly dust your cheeks. From underneath his mask, you could see a similar shade peek out, betraying his feelings.

“That's my favorite sweater, you know.” Kakashi commented, breaking the comfortable silence, occupying the space between the two of you.

His favorite… oh.

Now your cheeks weren’t merely flushed, but rather overtaken by a persistent shade of red, one that left your face feeling as though it were on fire. “Sorry!” You squeaked out, nervously fiddling with the hem of the sweater as you began to pull it over your head to take it off.

Your motions were unsuccessful, however, as you were stopped just as you had lifted the sweater to near your neckline when a hand came down onto your hand, gently pushing it and the sweater down again. Kakashi’s hand was accompanied by another heartfelt chuckle of his while he shook his head at what he found to be your endearing behavior.

“Wait, no, don’t take off my sweater, I like how it looks on you.” said Kakashi.

From your attempt your hair was slightly tousled, more than just several strands out of place as you stared up at him with wide eyes and bright red cheeks, your lips twisting into a smile. Then you looked down a little shyly, avoiding his gaze as the compliment played in your mind over and over again.

“Oh, I can’t. It’s your favorite, after all.” Even though he had told you to keep it, doing so felt almost rude, like overstepping an invisible boundary.

His hand that was still resting on yours squeezed yours gently. “Keep it. It looks better on you than it does on me.” The words he spoke matched his actions. His eyes raked over your body for a moment before returning to stare into your e/c again.

“Thank you, Kakashi.” Your words were sincere, you felt honored by his kind gesture. Often enough you had been lucky enough to be at the end of his kindness, to be the one to receive. Yet each time his voice sounded so soft as he spoke with you, a tone of rich velvet pushing past his covered lips, it took you by surprise and left your heart stuttering in its pace.

Kakashi waved you off, his visible eye closing into upside-down crescent moons. “Maa, there is no need to thank me.”

No matter how simple his act of kindness was, you would always feel inclined to thank him for it. You smiled at him brightly and stepped toward the silver-haired with your arms outstretched, coming to settle around his narrow body as you engulfed him in a tight embrace.

“Thank you, Kashi.” You murmured into the material of his shirt, your cheek resting against it while your arms sat near the small of his back, giving him enough room to get out of the hug if he wanted to.

Kakashi chose to stay. His own arms encircled your waist, only pulling you closer to his chest and further into his arms. He, too, rested against you, with his cheek settling on the crown of your head and his grasping the material of his sweater. The silver-haired knew that he was right. Not only did the sweater look better on you, but so did it feel better. 

A bonus point was the fact that seeing you in it left his heart feeling all giddy, glee gleaming in his eye once he saw you.
