What’s your digital colouring process?
(Btw your art is literally my #1 inspiration rn I just love it so much <33)
ahhh youre too sweet to say it!!!!!!!! thank you very much πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™
i wish i could give you a much more specific answer, but the truth is that i just colour however suits me for that particular drawing.
my simplest and favourite way, tho, is to lay down a very quick base colour that i can clip everything else onto (and will inevitably have to clean the edges of, LOL).... the base colour is usually the colour of the skin, because its easier to lay down blush and skin markings as the next step, and then i can see all of the other colours in relation to the skin so things stay balanced.
then, filters! i love filters! its important to learn colour theory and how to pick a colour palette by eye, but i also find much fun in just slapping many layer styles on top until it looks cooler.
...my favourite set of filters for at least the past year has been a light greyish violet-blue in the "color" layer type (25% or under opacity), then a saturated light blue using the "difference" layer type (pretty low opacity, however much u feel like), and then a "saturation" layer on top filled with obvs a very saturated colour (opacity is whatever feels right). the blue tones given to darker and cooler colours by the "color" layer look so vibrant, while the "difference" layer treats the warmer colours kindly. i think it looks pretty good, anyway!
.......i hope that makes a little sense!!! but thank u again!!!!!!!
