Does your world have any superstitions? And how do your characters react to it?

tysm for this ask 💗 my world does have superstitions !! and they’re real in my story 👹

ofc, there’s the classic broken mirror thing, don’t have two mirrors facing each other, evil eye, sweeping feet with a broom, fear of full moons, don’t open your umbrella indoors, unlucky numbers kind of superstitions lol - my fav is haint blue on doors or porches keep spirits & negative ppl away 😋

mary’s def superstitious 🤧 she believes all of them, especially ones culturally significant to simyeo - like whistling at night is a no no !! giving shoes to a partner is a no no !! and she doesn’t own any pens with red ink 🫣

the only ones in the fam that aren’t superstitious are the younger gen, so mary and edward’s kids pretty much 💀 edward isn’t very superstitious either, but he tolerates mary’s lil rambles because he finds anything she says cute <3

mary shakes her head, not surprised at all. the 2nd most annoyed that he spilt juice on an original portrait of a brixton king from like 1356 bc - makes sure all of paintings are protected with glass after this

edward’s the most chill, probably holding back laughter after seeing mary’s expression. he’s looking around like “umm … who’s gonna clean that up?”

clem is the one who cleans it up. she runs over to the portrait and is desperately trying to wipe it with the edge of her shirt, making the mess 1000x worse

helena, the dowager queen, is the most annoyed and proceeds to verbally berate rhys until mary tells her to BE QUIET ! go drink ur tea old lady

How is your country perceived by the outside world?

OOOOOO great question luv !!! 💗 thanku :))

great brixton is a global powerhouse !! the economy is excellent, there’s a large population, tourism, and they have the largest military force 🤧 all these things contribute to a favorable opinion in the world’s eye !!

but people DO side-eye great brixton and think the country’s a lil messy 💀 mostly due to the fact that they’ve been in frequent wars and political drama, and people generally think the monarchy is quite unstable at this point (with the “recent” passing of the king, queen mary’s father). so there’s also a few that are neutral, very “eh” — but there’s more love/hate than neutrality!

What language do the characters in your country speak, and are there any other languages that your characters interact with?

ooo this is a fun one !!! thank u for sending me dis 💗

great brixton is an extremely diverse country, so there’s no “official” language 🧐 the languages most widely spoken are english, french, nihonese, simyeon, arabic, malay, mandarin, and spanish !! & mostly all of my main characters are bilingual, if not multilingual 🤧 it’s a part of their royal education !!

my main royal family is a mix of three languages and cultures: english, french, and simyeon !!!! mary’s mother, the queen dowager, is actually a princess from simyeo, and mary (unwillingly) spent a few years in the imperial court there <3 so you know she’s fluent !! edward’s first language is french, but he knows english as well obv !!

so together, they def taught clem, lina, and rhys french and simyeon as they grew up 💗 i imagine it was a chaotic situation with a blend of three different languages 😋

Whoops! OC 1 and 2 were playing catch near a window and the ball suddenly hit and smashed it! “That was your fault!” says OC 1. “It wasn’t my fault! That was a bad throw, how was I supposed to catch it?” says OC 2. Then, OC 3 and 4 comes in and sees the mess that 1 and 2 have created. OC 3 starts laughing at the fact that OCs 1 and 2 were going to get in HUUUUGE trouble with OC 6 and 7 whilst OC 4 tried to help clean up the glass, though it was impossible. OC 5 walks in and looks at them and runs to tell OC 6 and 7 that the 4 OCs were all by the “Crime scene” therefore it had to be all of their faults.

i’ve been sittin on this one ngl 🤔 i do think it would be good to release the shell, but i have to warn you it’ll prob still be a pretty cc heavy lot 😔 it’s a huge BEHEMOTH of a build 💀 but yeah, i’m not sure when i’ll release it, but i def will !!

i’ll also keep this in mind for the future, because i’d like to create some more builds and release them 😋 i’ll release full lots and the shell separately mayb? 👁️

yes ! she’s def graying faster than before and it’s due to two things: the gray hair accessory that i use changes with every hairstyle rip (so on one it may look regular, on another it could look too gray), but she’s also unfortunately graying really fast due to extreme stress : (

this will actually be brought up in a future post lol, spoilers but mary decides to dye her hair black and hide her gray hairs 😭
