Moon in scorpio and their averted eyes. They are just like dont wanna to look into your eyes because they will gonna know everything you feel. İt is kinda scary 😬 indeed. Probably they dont look people eyes on purpose but when you see their eyes look into yours it's intense like you're naked💀

Mars in earth signs and their high drive to success . Whenever ı see a very goal orianted, logical and successfull someone ı see they have earth mars. why i recommend it:

i am - obviously - on the record as not a hinny girly, but whinlatter is one of the few people able to convince me of the pairing. this is because she’s a beautiful writer, but it’s mainly - and i think this is incredibly important - because she writes the stars of the show as actually funny. there seems to be a real tendency in ‘how is the world rebuilt after the war’ fics to make everything unstoppably angsty, with lots of therapy-speak processing of trauma. and that never hits for me, largely because it’s not something i can picture harry ‘what’s a coping mechanism?’ potter and friends being willing to do. beasts instead gets the vibe completely right - teenagers without all the answers muddling through as best as they can, which always seems to result in them choosing the stupidest (and funniest) option. harry is both self-isolating and self-righteous, hermione is brittle and very loyal, ron is the only one with any emotional stability, mcgonagall has had enough, and ginny is - to quote the author herself - written like scrappy do.

which isn’t to say that this fic isn’t angsty - it is, at heart, an exploration both of how ginny deals with being back at hogwarts in 1998-99 when the castle is filled with memories she’d rather not have to think about every day, and of how the end of voldemort doesn’t magically mean an end to the astonishing corruption in wizarding society. 

it also has an acceptable amount of hits if you control + f ‘riddle’, so there’s that.

this is cheating, because it’s not a specific fic, but @broomsticks (who you will know as leftsidedown on ao3) inspires me a great deal. she is absolutely committed to multi-shipping (and especially to femslash multishipping) in a way which is really quite rare now, as well as to exploring the full spectrum - from fluff to filth to filthy fluff - we can write our characters into. plus, she’s a fandom history encyclopedia, and one of the few people on earth apparently willing to do statistical analysis of harry potter fanfiction for fun. she also gives great prompts, which have led to two of my favourite pieces of my own work: enchanter’s nightshade and the three sisters.

Teldryn will occasionally attempt to bribe hire Doc to teach him his talents, and they tend to share a pipe together while Doc inevitably has to patch him up (Old Man Conversations™️ yippee!)

Ophelia has Teldryn COMPLETELY tricked that she’s a weak, soft little thing that needs to be protected if not doted over (she finds this funny). They frequently talk shit gossip. He thinks she’s a funny pain in the ass and also humors her a little too much.

The Moon

Some might say the moon is basic, saying it’s our closest neighbor and you can see some details even without a telescope.

You can’t be more wrong. The Moon is awesome! 🌝 Close up telescope images will show you astonishing terrains and surprising color variations. With some astronomical insight, it’s not hard to decipher the the moon’s secret past.

Now, let’s take a closer look into the moon image, shall we?

What's on the moon? 👽

There’s so much to talk about the moon. How is it formed? Why we can only see half of the moon? etc. etc. This blog I’ll focus on explain what’s on the moon. If you ever go outside and look at the moon through naked eye, all you can really see are just dark and bright spots. In fact, back in the days, people used to believe that the dark regions are ocean just like the earth. That’s why they are still called ‘maria’ which means seas in Latin. (Yes, astronomers like to stick with the mistakes they made, and as all scientist they like Latin). And it turns out there are indeed mountains, but in the form of craters with dents in the middle.

How are they come to existence, and what determines their color?

It’s not hard to guess that craters were the result of collisions. When some small meteoroid hits the moon, it creates a dent, and breaks into pieces. Those pieces are called ejecta. Most ejecta stays in the crater, but some will fly off pretty far and form the slope we see around the crater. We call those ejecta blanket. I can imagine the collision heat them up like a real blanket! Those impacts from space create colorful glassy materials. As the image below shows, near the Aristarchus crater, the glassy deposit are blue as they contain titanium. If an area is geologically active, there might be dark yellow glass as you can see in the image below near the Aristarchus plateau.

Interesting enough, the maria are also formed by collisions, but indirectly. Those collisions were so big that it hits deep into the inner part of the moon (mantle), and brought out lava to the surface. As lava flowed across the moon surface, they cooled down and formed a type of rock called basalts. They usually have darker color as you can see in the Ocean of storms.

On a side note, be careful with your wording because meteor, meteorite, and meteoroid all mean different things! For a small space object, if it’s still in the space, it’s a meteoroid. It becomes a meteor when it flies through the atmosphere, and if it survives and is found on the ground, it settles as a meteorite.

Image Crafting 💻

I’m planning to write a stand-alone blog for the standard procedure of processing an image in Afterglow. Here I’ll just explain what’s special about the moon observation.

The moon is too big. Each image taken by the telescope of my choice would only take 1/9 of the moon. To get a full moon, I have to take in a 3x3 dithering pattern and stitch them together. This is way harder to get it done than it sounds. Since the telescope cannot point at where it’s supposed to point 100% accurate, we have to apply algorithm to identify which image goes where, and crop and zoom accordingly. That’s why you might see weird straight lines in the middle of the image because the software wasn’t perfect yet when putting mosaic together. Here are the raw images taken in a 3x3 grid pattern.

Moon phase is constantly changing. When it’s full moon, you do get the entire surface, but you miss out on the ‘terminator’ (the line that divides day and night). To get a full moon, I took two observations half a month a part to get both a waxing gibbous and a waning gibbous.

my biggest tip is to stop "trying" and just do. you don't need anything to manifest! no methods, journal, subliminals, you don't need any of it. all that stuff is there to help you, but what truly gets you your manifestations is your mind. also - maybe you're reading too many articles! i went through a huge cleanse where i unfollowed every single manifesting blog except for three that have helped me. when you're being constantly reminded about manifesting, it's easy to psych yourself out. it's happened to me. try to consume less media and relax about your manifestations! you already have what you want.

here's a post where i put all the stuff i manifested! additionally, i manifested my teeth to be aligned (even though i wasn't wearing my bands, and they were obviously not aligned) - that happened in less than two hours. i also manifested my mom's approval on me wearing an outfit that she would NOT have let me wear otherwise.

another thing - just act like you have it. know that it's yours and there's nothing anyone can do to change that. once i started manifesting this way, i've only ever gotten what i wanted. i'm still getting used to the fact that this is how the universe works and that my thoughts attract. so sometimes i be forgetting to manifest when there's something i don't like. T-T

@pl6netgirl is my fave manifesting blog ever. i completely recommend! super easy explanations, and very helpful advice to anons that i use myself.

i do celebrate christmas! on the 24th, we're going to spend the night with our extended family, and on the 25th it's just going to be my parents, sister, and i. it'll probably just be a chill day! although not literally, unfortunately. the high for the 25th is expected to be 84°f :/ is it cold where you live? also, what are you doing for christmas, if you celebrate?
