16 April 1912 - wedding of Caliph Abdülmecid and Atiye Mehisti Kadın; of Abkhazian origin, Atiye Mehisti was taken into palace service with her sisters Mihridil and Mihrivefa Hanım. She had blue eyes and long brown hair. She married the future Caliph Abdülmecid II on 16 April 1912 in Bağlarbaşı Mansion. Two years later, she gave birth to her only child, Hayriye Ayşe Dürrüşehvar Sultan.
