I'm bored, so I'll answer some of the questions you posed:

1. Why is reader regarded as a deity? How does lore or history change because of it?

-This could be from them creating Teyvat, and having an active role throughout history; due to The Primordial One and The Second Who Came, this is made a little more odd, but it could be said 'The Creator' wasn't forgotten, and vanished sometime after the Archon War; anything during it is up to the writer.

2. Why does reader get golden blood all of a sudden? What modified their body structure for it to occur? Are there any other changes to their body?

-It wasn't always golden blood, it was a MacGuffin to help distinguish between the 'true' and 'imposter' Creator. The change could be them being transported to Teyvat, wherein one might say Teyvat itself is alive and helped its 'parent'. Any other changes is up to the writer once again; personally I'm a fan of their eyes changing to different characters' Constellations.

3. How are they actually transported to the world of Teyvat? What kind of role do they take up in the grand scheme of things? What influences can they exert (economically, culturally, etc.) in Teyvat?

-As the Creator, they're basically the Ruler of Rulers; they are allowed additional says on a Nation's matters, and allowed to impose their own, so long as others agree; normally, it would go ahead, but in places like Liyue, the Liyue Qixing would like to make sure they don't always have to relay on deities. How they got there is usually waking up there, but another I like is that Teyvat, and Genshin, is a parallel world in the form of a video game, allowing them to create a way to transport you there, like a portal, or summon, or the such.

4. How does it all affect reader's mental, emotional, or physical wellbeing?

-Depends on the writer; I write the reader, or Darlin', with the mindset of them being used to it, and tries their best throughout. Physically, with characters like Childe, Cyno or even Keqing, would help you in defending yourself; you could do so yourself, they're sure, but it never is harmful to relearn the basics. And, emotionally; well, I'd enjoy it, that's for sure; again, it all just depends on the writer.

I've wanted to share my thoughts and workarounds through my own writing, but I couldn't help but want to discuss after reading your ask.

this is going to be long, so all content utc!

I wanted to tie my oc a bit to the lore of my version of SAGAU. Mikoto would be a placeholder or test character, the first one to be fleshed out but only added to the game as an npc and reduced to nothing more than a name passed around. However, during the development process of the game. eventually, this small sentient piece of code would gain the desire to "exist." I believe that human desire or anything akin to it can be a powerful force because by wanting something to exist, essentially a parallel world is opened up where this is possible. in the case for Mikoto, a whole parallel world - where genshin is the real world - is made. another little alternative I can see is that through the existence of the game in our world, a parallel is opened up, and the desire for Mikoto to exist is strong enough for the laws of the universe to acknowledege it and make him exist in the parallel world in which the conciousness of both characters are connected and aware of what is happening on both dimensions. I also like to think that if the latter is the plot point decided upon, it means that this paradox may unknowingly influence the characters in the other dimension, creating this version of them that can be rather unstable and one that can eventually gain access to our reality through the breach between worlds.

Moving forward, the reason why the characters may think the reader to be a deity or a powerful entity can be tied to mikoto as well. The developers would also be some sort of "test player," which would be the first other conscious being Mikoto will be able to interact with. This sparks a curiosity that would overtime develop into devotion and an unhealthy dependency since Mikoto is alone. Since the developers would be able to change the game's functions, mechanics, and certain objects - among other things, Mikoto might see the player as someone capable of changing everything as he knows it. That would carry over into the other universe. This causes the lore to change where an all-powerful being regarded as the world's god or creator.

The transportation of reader to SAGAU I chalk up to the characters' shared desire for the reader exist to their realm and a little bit of Science (mainly Physics, and I'm not even going to try to explain how this might work - seeing as I specialize in BioChem and not Physics). I like to think that they are able to make a vessel within their world, which they can then use to hold the reader's consciousness after transporting it to SAGAU. The characters would try to make this vessel as close to your likeness as possible, but some notable changes would be your aging and a few modifications to your appearance if you request. You age slower in your new body - if you ever age at all. Golden blood can be a modification given.

As for the influences of the reader, I firmly believe that the reader will take the role of a leader of sorts. I believe it's a psychological result of having everything you knew just change. Your psyche would be in shambles, so it can be that the first instinct is to try to grasp something stable to keep you grounded. It just so happens that you're being offered a role as a deity, which gives you something you can use to ground yourself. By giving yourself a role, you are able to define something that is somewhat tangible. Of course, this would need a period of adjustment, which your lovely acolytes are more than happy to help you get through. Your tasks after getting used to being a deity would be learning; after all, knowledge is power. You must know Teyvat's conditions and history before you can even do something about them. You might typically find yourself learning things pertaining to Social Science - economics, politics, etc.

Celestia, I'm just going to headcannon for this, would be affected by the factors discussed previously. Their roles are still unclear, so I designate them to a bystander position as of the moment. They let you play god or are fully supportive of it, but their intentions may bleed somewhere into the series.

This SAGAU concept I just proposed can be adopted by anyone. Instead of Mikoto, one can also insert any character (oc or canonical).

keep thinking about the idea of being isekaied into teyvat while holding a piece of merch. like i have this little plushie of xiao wearing a cat onesie that i never part with. could you fucking imagine meeting god and they have that with them??

depending on what merch you have on-hand, there are a variety of reactions.

xiao would definitely become extremely flustered and try to brush it off as something normal, but he silently wonders if he should wear something similar to what he saw. he might just ask zhongli for guidance on his matter, but don't be surprised if he one day shows up in a cat onesie. another thing that might happen is he'll assume the form of a feline if it pleases you.

scaramouche is flabbergasted, and he, for the lack of a better term, goes tsundere. he acts unaffected by such a thing, but he, like xiao, wonders if he should try to emulate the merchandise to gain your favor. if he didn't know any better, he probably would've begrudgingly asked the electro archon to modify him, so he can get cat ears. he mostly just settles for a headband.

childe would be over the moon if he spots you with a narwhal plushie similar to the one he summons. he'd be scrambling to get you, almost barreling into you in the process. he'll clasp your hands in his and gush over how much you seem to like him. there's stars in his eyes as he entertains the idea of possibly summoning the actual water creature in front of you.

brainrotting… (teen cult!reader)

my legs hurt right now, so all i can imagine having chongyun carry reader princess-style (claymore user things). he’ll get all red and blushy while you grip at his clothes, and he silently hopes that you don’t feel his heart beating a mile a minute. it takes everything in himself to keep his yang energy from taking over his disposition entirely. it makes him even more flustered when you kiss his cheeks as a thank you when he sets you down where you want.

the others can’t do anything but grit their teeth and wish they were in chongyun’s shoes. xingqiu gets antsy the most because while he’s strong, he can’t hold a candle to his best friend’s strength. he silently sulks before he gets the brilliant idea of entertaining you with his stories while you can’t move. xinyan as well feels much envy; she’s strong too! she wants to feel needed by you— like she isn’t useless after all this time. she and xiangling try to make up excuses to distract the cryo-vision wielder, just so they can take his place.

Imagine Aether following your every command and coming back with more stars in his eyes than the night sky excited for head pats and praise not even caring for the bad looks the Achons give him Or Lumine doing everything you need without being told to walking up to you like a cat giving you a dead bird but instead of a bird it's ascension books she does look as excited as Aether but with enough praise and head pats you couldn't tell the difference

cult aether is smug when you give him more attention than the others, and he gets away with it too with his innocent looks and cute face. sometimes when the archons trip up on a blue moon, he undertakes the tasks just to earn that taste of sweetness that is your praise. it almost seems like he schemes as much as kaeya.

as for lumine, she’s in the background for the most part because she isn’t too keen on having her brother see her again so soon, but she always makes herself known by the gifts she has delivered by the abyss or hidden in your favorite places. she also makes sure that if you ever are caught in the crossfire between the abyss and their foes, you’ll always be protected by a crowd of abyss mages circling you like a shield.

Sad (cult) Zhongli brainrot that is all thank u

gonna do some fast hc’s for this. hope ya don’t mind~ also i’m going to guess that you want angst, so here it is!

zhongli has only cried twice in his life. the first time was when guizhong died, and the seconds was when you turned your back on him out of disappointment for the first time.

during that time, he subjected himself to self-punishment. for a week, he stayed isolated within the golden house to repent; zhongli even went as far as to blind himself temporarily by sealing away his vision. just as he had given azhdaha sight, he can take away his own.

he was so afraid to touch you after that, let alone look at you. zhongli was afraid of offending you once more, so he was extremely withdrawn from you for a bit of time. no matter at what hour of the day, your look of disapproval forever haunts him.

the former geo archon thought that you’d never even want him to serve you anymore after that, so he was taken aback when you treated him so gently after his period of self-isolation.

he clings to you like a child after that, refusing to let you leave his aight once more. he’ll do better this time, he promises; he won’t let you down again.

I recently found an interesting(at least for me) ask on a different Blog and wanted to know how it would be in the cult au.

Out of some unknown/paranormal accidend (or something like that) Childe splits into four different people/bodies

1. Foul legacy Childe

2.Delusion Childe(When he has black clothes and his mask on)

3.Harbinger Childe(the one we normally see)

4.the "normal" Ajax,how he was before he fell into the abyss

Of course you could say they all act the same,but that would be kinda boring.Like Delusion Childe is more on edge,protective and blunt than the other three.Foul legacy childe can't really speak(instead makes noises like purrs) and acts more like an abyss creature or an animal.

foul legacy childe is like a huge dog. he rarely talks, only speaks when need be and usually answers through grunts and hums. he'll be similar to your normal childe, only he's more cuddly and protective than normal. he's particularly fond of caging you in his lap and selfishly keeping yo from everyone else.

delusion childe is a menace, and he loves teasing the fuck out of you. don't get him wrong, he loves and respects you, but getting you flustered is his favorite thing to do! everyone else can't though, only him. if he catches someone else making you stutter and go shy, best believe he'll erase all traces of them from teyvat.

harbinger childe is well... childe! he acts normal, of course. he does get antsy when the other version himself are around because he's a big baby and wants your attention on him only.

ajax is a ball of sunshine, a sweet boy whose smile lights up the room. he's by far the easiest to deal with out of all the versions of childe. he's basically the "boy next door" trope, but everyone's favorite ginger! he's so sweet too, and he's tamer compared to the other childe's. he loves cooking for you, serving the best treats from snezhnaya.

he's similar to a peacock, loves to flaunt all the ways he's so much better than everyone else (especially to baal). scara preens too when you compliment him and tells you to cut it out if you're trying to mess with him, but he'll be all pissy the moment you stop.

absolutely brutal to his subordinates if scara hasn't seen you in a long time. he gets so impatient and annoyed at every little thing. he only ever calms down if you sent him a message or come visit him.

scara, unlike his creator, cooks well enough to serve you something that's more than delicious. he uses this against her when they're in this cold war with each other.

What if the portal that Albedo used was the game software itself?? Albedo searching for ways to get reader in the murals of Khaenri'ah. The writings there were difficult to understand, two dots on top of each other? Strange half-bent shapes? Strange scripts that had if/then in them??? The more he read, the more he found out that.... his god DID create the world and lead Khaenri'ah as their first ever and most beloved settlement. However, he found out that his god was banished from Teyvat thousands of years ago, and as he tried to look into it more, the part where the banishment is explained was missing. Even in his frustrations for the unsolved mystery of why his beloved god was banished, he still continued to translate and solve the unfamiliar scripts. As his progress went on, he found out that Khaenri'ah WANTED their god back and has developed the scripts and technology to... try and contact the world their god was in. Celestia found out what Khaenri'ah was trying to do and so the CATACLYSM happened, Khaenri'ah was destroyed, people's intelligence reduced with the horrible aftereffect of deforming as what he knew to be the hilichurls of the present day. Those who had visions at the time were also deformed but kept their intelligence and ability to wield the elements and make elemental shields with the help of ley line branches.

it is surely possible that albedo had used khaenri'ah texts as basis, but it's more like he dug out the codes that the past people of khaenri'ah were able to dig up from slowly breaching into the space between your two worlds. much of the text is incomplete, but with albedo's intelligence, it was only time until he would be able to complete the missing parts.

however, the answers come to him in something akin to a fever dream. just before he could drift off from exhaustion, an idea pops in his head. in his sleepy haze, he jumps back to his desk. he scrawls something unintelligible on a piece of parchment with ink.

he wakes up hunched over his desk with the paper beside him, and the moment his eyes open, he's off to work immediately.

I HAVE A SAGAU CONCEPT:

this kind of ties in with teyvat being a conscious entity. i want to pull a magi and say that teyvat didn’t have a personality; it was only a set space that did everything accordingly to what it was programmed to do.

but due to the reader getting isekai’d to teyvat, the land earns consciousness through being connected to the reader’s soul— which results to it also earning a physical form similar to paimon. the merging of the parts of these two entities cause a few problems such as climate change and natural disasters that would definitely affect the lives of those leaving on teyvat.

as “alive” as teyvat becomes, it’s not completely independent. its emotions and will tie directly with yours, mostly because reader and teyvat “share” souls. also through this predicament is reader able to somewhat shape teyvat to their will; they have the power to raise mountains and seas as well as bringing down nation if they so wish.

A God! Reader who is somewhat unemotional, but once in a while you can catch them smiling at flowers and other mundane things. God! Reader who is extremely calm and collected.

I think with this type of reader, this scenario would be super intresting

"I'm not angry, I'm just disappointed. I expect better especially from you."

Ouch! hearing something like this from God! Reader who already doesn't speak much, must hurt a lot.

I imagine the types like zhongli and diluc would be really affected by something like this. They are willing to do anything to correct this, but please please don't ever look at them with a look of disappointment, they would much rather be punished than be the reason of the frown on your face.

they can't take it when you look down on them with a scowl on your face. it absolutely breaks their heart if you ever do. zhongli would honestly rather perish than have you be so displeased with him, and diluc would straight-up lock himself in his mansion for days on end until he finds a way to make it up to you. you'll have to comfort and forgive them at some point unless you want them dead. those two really can't handle it.

you'll be seated on your throne, the two tugging and clinging to your clothes as they babble about making it up to you. poor zhongli and diluc-- they look so pitiful as they try to earn your favor again. you can't help but give in, not when they look at you with tears in their eyes.

Not a request but gosh I CHOKED when I read how Kaeya stole the handkerchief from Diluc and the poor guy's reaction. I freaking love it <3 actually I have a brain rot on how the acolytes react to reader who rarely gives handmade trinkets and now everyone is fighting to have the chance/honor to receive them. Or in Kaeya's case just snatching them from others (namely Diluc) Just utter chaos XD Also don't get me started on Zhongli issuing search warrants *catch me if you can theme plays*

it’s difficult when they start to use underhanded tactics like actually stealing from you. nothing too important, just things like hair ties or rubber bands that you used probably once.

you’ll have to give them all something equally if you want to stop them from stealing from each other, preferably the same thing but different designs or patterns. out of all your acolytes, the only person who doesn’t get stolen from is zhongli because he keeps them very well.

all of the things you’ve given him are kept in places only he has access to. not even fellow archons can find this secret hiding place. venti has come close, but he ultimately failed because he was too busy trying to spend time with you— that and zhongli caught on pretty quickly.

he understands what you want him to do, even when the thought of such humiliation digs itself into his stomach if you so did this in front of the people of liyue. zhongli nestles his face into your shoulder, his fangs gently grazing against your skin. he barks like he's told, such a good dog, you coo.

the former archon rambles on and on after that, even as he feels your head droop against his. he lets you drift off, knowing how much he pleases you.

A Sagau concept if you will:

That whole “god of teyvat” thing is still there, but to avoid an imposter situation, there are annual contests with challenges that only the god will be able to go through. It’s said the the god of teyvat will always reincarnate as someone random, so no one knows what they truly look like (the god is kinda like an Ei and Raiden situation where they’re just a subconscious). Because of this, there are multiple people constantly working towards being able to pass the contest’s challenges in hopes of being the one. However, there is only one challenge that no one has been able to pass yet: the world’s music, aka, Genshin’s soundtrack.

Only the archons are able to hear the music and therefore oversee the contest. The people who pass the previous challenges must hum the current song playing in the background, so music may or may not be more important in this reality

So darling gets transported to teyvat and is entered in the annual contest only to pass everything with a breeze somehow, and when it comes to the music, they surprise the archons with the accuracy of the current track playing

i just love it when people incorporate the soundtrack system in the sagau. it just makes it even more fun at the idea that battle music can alert you if anything hostile is nearby.

they’ll be surprised when you pass the first test, humming the theme of the opening screen. then you hum the background music of each place they bring you to before the finally, finally realize that you are their creator.

venti’s chest just swells with happiness aid you ever ask him to play the ost. alternatively, aether or lumine joins him to create an interesting performance. they’d all be even happier if you dance for some of the songs.

what if cult!xiao just felt a lot less karmic debt around reader? Would he consider it one of their godly powers?

for sure! it leads him into revering you more than he normally does, and he actually spends the night in your teapot as opposed to if you didn’t have this power where he only stays the night once in a while.

xiao’s soul is soothed when you smooth your hands over his face. he no longer feels the biting burns of karmic debt at his temperance, only’s basking in the serenity of your touch. a thousand burdens are lifted from his shoulders as he presses himself closer and closer to your side, and he clings to you as a child would his mother. for the first time in millennia, he dreams a dream so sweet— not even almond tofu could compare to its sweetness.

How about the cult!au with a wholesome darling that treats their worshippers more like friends than anything?

Like, if Zhongli is building anything in teapot they’ll happily run over and try to lend a hand, even if it’s way too heavy, because “that’s what friends are for!”

They ask Venti if they could sing together and after a whole day of him showing them his faveourite places etc. they cuddle up to him and thank him for beeing their friend.

If Kaeya ever ends up coming home drunk they’ll be the first to make sure he has water and adherol standing by his bed the next morning. Hell they even might be the one who carried him home in the first place.

And They ask Baal for cuddles and everything and shyly come to her for fashion advice because they see her as a big sister (after the Vision hunt decree arc is over, of course)

Like, they are just really sweet and genuine and happy because all this time they wanted to be friends with their fave characters and now they have the chance to!!

they’d love you even more if it was possible! you’re just so kind, so sweet— so unlike the cruelty they faced in the time before you. the pain and the wait is worth it, however, because they’re quickly taken with your soft treatment. they might try to contradict you calling them a friend because they’re your worshippers! they are but servants forever to be at your disposal, but if it makes you happy… they don’t mind.

those who particularly get close to you because of your fluffy nature are diluc and bennett. these two just can’t help but melt every time you spend time with them. you’re a beacon of hope and happiness to them, and they vow to never let you down.

the ice around diluc’s heart thaws as you show him a kindness he’s long forgotten, one he hasn’t felt since the lost of his father. the longer he remains in your company, the comfier he gets. you’ll notice by the way he keeps you close, touching you without gloves, showing you the countless scars on his palm. he shows you every bit of himself because he genuinely believes he’s yours to love.

bennett loves how you still keep him around even when all he does is bring bad luck to wherever he is. his childhood has never been kind, filled with harsh bullies and loneliness that comes from being frowned upon by lady luck. still, you find it in yourself to embrace his form littered with bruises and scars of all kinds. you heal him this way, make him feel safe enveloped in you arms.

God!Reader in the "everyone thinks they're an impostor AU and hurt them a lot" forgiving the overworked henchmen or subordinate of the archons first cause good god i pity them so much💀💀💀 Overworked Jean, Kokomi, and Ganyu being forgiven first and given headpats. The archons would be like Overworked AF = Forgiveness and it just goes downhill from there. Venti singing praises for his Divine One on his knees till his throat was hoarse and his hands bloodied from strumming his lyre nonstop. Zhongli with his bleeding fingers as he extremely reshapes the mountains and landscapes of Liyue to hopefully be to your liking but having great difficulty due to him not having his gnosis anymore. He erects statues, shrines of you, in sheer hope and utter desperation that you would take him back, to give him a second chance to worship the ground you walk upon, that even the adepti were desperately following his example. Ei isolating herself again in the Plane of Euthymia as a way to punish herself by rendering her completely alone and cutting off ties with the world. The Raiden Shogun's throat was slit by Ei's hand when she heard from somewhere that you didn't like it. Basically the archons self-sabotaging. Surely you'd acknowledge them, right? Even if you don't forgive them, surely their pitiful state would at least score a glance from your Divine eyes even for a second, right???? RIGHT?!!

they’re more akin to a child having a temper tantrum for not having enough attention on them, and it does get extremely annoying over time. it’s advised you correct this type of behavior immediately since it’ll just drag you down more than anything, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with it.

maybe if you have some ounce of kindness left in your heart, you’ll find it to pity them. other than that, perhaps you can use them to your advantage. you may even be able to erect a small little island of your own just for you and your favorite worshippers to spend time. have venti push your boats across the sea, let zhongli have the earth rise from beneath the ocean floor, and let ei place a protective barrier of a storm around to keep you safe.

if you have the heart to at least commend them for their efforts, it might just birth a different kind of hope within them.
