Disneyland posted auditions.

I'm more than tempted to fly out there and audition.

I should have foreseen that today would go badly when I put the Double Stuffed E.L.Fudge in my shopping cart and put them back. Because I guarantee they will all be gone by the end of the night.

Edges audition today.

I had my audition for a production of Pasek and Paul's Edges today.

My songs I prepared went well, but then they had me sight read a song I had only listened to a few times. Usually I'm fine with sight reading, but they had me do the harmony line with no one on the melody. It did not go as well as I had hoped. Idk. Unless they really liked my songs I prepared, I don't expect anything from it. It was a good experience, though, and the production team seemed very nice. I'll definitely audition for them again in the future.

I will say this. Even if I don't get anything I am so very happy I found out about this audition because it led me to this wonderful show- specifically the song "Lying There." It is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard- I bawled my eyes out the first time I listened to it. I am definitely adding it to my book (If I can find the sheet music!)

I get really annoyed when I look at the Central Florida Auditions Facebook page and see shows I want to audition for- then I google the city that the theatre is in and it's over on either of the coasts. I understand that from going north to south- yeah you're in the middle, but that's still a 2 hour drive from the center! gah.

Oh well.

On the bright side, I made some new friends at the audition! That's always a good thing!

It's really annoying trying to look for actual jobs on Backstage when all anyone seems to be looking for is people to be on reality tv shows.

Hearing about new auditions confuses me.

Should I go? Do I want to get my hopes up again? Why do other people see it in me when Disney casting doesn't? What if this never works out for me? What if my dreams don't come true? Does the 6 month rule really apply? Why does it have to be so early? Do I wear my normal amount of makeup? Do I wear red again?
