Auruvitulum Academy - Evening Painting (Querida)

My first piece of fully finished Auruvitulum art (that isn't just a character sheet). A Discord server I'm in has a creativity club and they selected a new theme; "The smell of evening rain." And this is the idea that popped into my head.

INTERESTING FACT: As I finished this, I realized Querida actually has some resemblance to my late gran, someone also known for her creative spirit. So yeah, here's to her. I miss you, granny.

Another collab with @lolohe12, this time the daughter of Persephone and Hades! Like with Elizabeth, Lolo made the outfit/coord and the rest was for me to figure out, but I loved the ideas Lolo brought to the table.

Trust me, there's plenty more OCs I need to work on, but burn out was a bitch (hence why such a long timeframe between this and Elizabeth). Either way, I hope you enjoy it!

(Also, Styxx is offspring of Cerberus (but based on Chihuahuas) and inspired by sparkle dogs.)

After weeks of work, I've finally finished the seven main girlies of Auruvitulum Academy!

I have to give thanks to the members of the Northern Lights Discord server. Several of the characters were possible through discussion with the members of the server. Shout out to J for helping me with the Chinese for Wai-Ling's name and her jacket, to R for discussing King Paimon with me for Paimona, SB for the idea of using modern kimono when I hit a wall with Asami's design, as well as the server giving feedback and encouragement.

One of 2 characters where I was lucky to collaborate with my friend, @lolohe12. Lolo was the one who came up with the outfit idea for Elizabeth, and our discussions also helped certain elements of her character be finalised.

She had plenty of revisions, but one again this is another fun character. And Lolo agrees, if their quote of "We stan a zaftig queen" says anything! (For non-US people; 'zaftig' basically means fat or rounded person). Also, very much her character came to me from listening to (G)-IDLE's "Nxde". Hope ya'll like her!

For Auruvitulum Academy, one of my goals is to try and represent the cultures of the respective characters and Gods as appropriately and faithfully as I can. There a few character concepts I would like to discuss with people of the respective culture for thoughts. Specifically on if and how they should be included.

For the moment, here are the sensitivity consultants I am looking for;

- Ojibwe Native American

- Hindu (bonus for Indian)

(Just to quickly sum up Auruvitulum Academy; think Monster High/Ever After High but all the characters are based on folklore and mythology, like Deuce, C.A. Cupid, Manny and so on)

I wanted to draw Morgan and Wai-Ling in their Halloween costumes a year ago and only now is the piece finally complete! And yes; they are lesbians for each other.

Their costumes are basically; generic horror slasher (was actually inspired by the first Halloween’s timeline with Michael having Celtic connections) and Zheng Yi Sao (for those who don’t know; she’s a really famous Chinese pirate, often named the “Chinese pirate Queen”).

This piece saw me fall down the stairs, saw me deal with adjusting to chronic pain, and these two gave me great comfort during the worst of it. Can’t wait for spooky season!

Started this piece last year and it's finally finished! First full piece of my Auruvitulum girls all enjoying ice cream in the summer sunset! Been a blast working on this even with the scorching June heat. Hope ya'll had a wonderful summer solstice and for those going on summer holidays, I hope you enjoy every second of it!

Yet another Auruvitulum Academy character! This time, we're going to the tale of the White Wolf Warrior of the Dacians, situated in what is now modern day Romania. The White Wolf Warrior is considered one of the earliest tales of werewolves, being present around the same time as the Vikings and Ancient Greeks.

Is it obvious I am enjoying making Auruvitulum OCs? Honestly, Querida has to be the most fun.

It was fun trying to make something basic and cozy while adding influences and references back to her Aztec roots, and drawing Picasso was a nice change of pace as I've never drawn an axolotl before.
