I was so lucky to meet the beautiful and incredibly talented @flore_vallery_radot last year. We spent a day together in my studio and it felt like we had known each other for years. Flo made me feel so comfortable chatting and laughing as she worked her magic behind the lense. It’s really an insane talent to be able to capture those intimate gestures and moments. Irealised I take these moments for granted. The little film and stills she shared with me are so beautiful. I’ll be eternally grateful for having met this incredibly generous and talented soul. . . #Repost @flore_vallery_radot with @get_repost ・・・ {STUDIO VISIT} Because you've kindly encouraged me, I'll be doing regular studio visits with a little slideshow (we say diaporama in French, I love that word!) of photos taken on the day of a film shoot. . This is the portraits and studio photos of a woman I admire so so much. Not only she's a talented artist but she makes me feel GOOD when I'm with her. As you can see she has the kindest and most honest smile there is. She has a lovely warm voice and slow, reflective gestures which I can watch, hypnotised, for hours. . Chris @tradethemark is a ceramic artist. She creates vessels and artworks in clay which she paints and etches, with the sgraffito method: scratching the colour off in places, and she glazes the finished piece which turns into a shiny, colourful and happy stoneware you desperately want to brighten up your home. . Every single happy piece encapsulates Chris's smile and her cheerful soul. Every time I walk past my two wall pieces I think of sharing an oozing burrata with her and chatting about art, life and a fruitful future with this incredibly inspiring woman. So last night I had my Graduation Screening where my final student film - Cake - premiered at the Mercury Cinema! It was an amazing night and it was so magical to see my completed film on the big screen. Oooohh..someone on tellonym asked me about to pick between LA or Australia for productions. I loved that question and it really made me think. Growing up, I dreamed of working in America specifically "HOLLYWOOD" than at a certain age i realised 1) i don't have a passport and 2) I heard more cons of trying to get a job in Hollywood than pros. So,it really put me off. Than last year happened...😅 During my aussie content binge and realising how much I had actually seen of our own productions throughout my life. I realised that it'd be cool to work in productions within Australia. We have so much to explore and multiple backdrops to use even if it's mostly just Sydney that gets the air time. I also realised that I have a list of Australian celebrities that I'd aboustely love the chance to work with and learn from,I think if i went to LA I wouldn't have that opportunity because they aren't Australian A-list stars in America, their just local names within our country. Sure, I'd love to work alongside the likes of DeNiro and RDJ; whose American but if travel allows,they can come here. Doesn't matter how good (or how bad) my videos are. If my sound is not genuine or at a high standard then I haven't delivered on my own expectations.
