Crossposting here my thread about how Ben Fox of Shepherd treated me over my "incredibly weird" "non-standard" name. All emails are included in the above thread. Shepherd often cold-contacts authors, so I'm putting this out there in the hopes of it reaching trans indie authors before they're forced to go in blind to working with a site that prominently features queer book lists while direspecting authors behind the scenes.
