I enjoyed reading this article...it shared what it believes to be the pros of the “iPad” and it also shed light on the cons.  A major point of the Con side is that the use of the iPad can further push autistic children into a shell where they no longer even try to engage in the real world, they become safe in their technological environment.  I understand this viewpoint. There have been times when I fussed with my sister and mom about allowing my nephew to spend so much time engaging with his iPad.
