i really think ava has adhd for many reasons but what really solidified it was last episode, during her and gregory’s lil talk when she was like falling behind isn’t bad and you can do things at your own pace etc it really made me think she struggled in school bc of her adhd and that’s why she’s so lax w her job bc she doesn’t wanna pressure the kids the same way she was pressured

small adhd ava headcanon kind of adding onto my last post but i like the idea that ava fidgets in every way except actual fidget toys/tools. she REFUSES to touch pop-its or fidget spinners but she'll totally make a complex 64 step paper airplane just because she needs something to do with her hands.

(also i think she would like those transformers action figures that you can spend hours transforming into their vehicle forms... what? me? im "projecting"? nah naaaah nonono whaaaaaaaat...?? naaahh.. naaaaaaaaaahhh!!!)

let's talk ava/janine then! do you think ava was attracted since day one and she was just pretending to find janine annoying or that ava couldn't really stand janine but she won her over little by little??

im not gonna lie i dont think ava noticed janine at ALL when they first met like as teacher/principal. like ofc she knows that janine is a new hire but i think the first moment she really notices janine is in the pilot episode. janine fights back against her and ava is like ohhh hold on

i deffo think ava finds janine annoying but as time goes on its more of a front to avoid that she actually might feel something romantic for her tiny second grade teacher

and yesss hcs! in my comic i hc she works out. she has a routine in the morning and her whole persona is a little more chill outside of school. like shes a bimbo but shes actually really smart and can get shit done shed just rather ppl think she cant. ava is a really good cook bc of her grandma. SHES A GEEK she loves kdramas and the only marvel she loves is xmen. and she loves catwoman but specifically halle berry’s this is not bc i was obsessed with that film as a child not at all she thinks the blade movies r the best vampire movies and also loves the matrix and had a super alt phase (shes still alt but not as heavily as she was in her 20s) also she loves physical affection but would rather die than admit that

janine loves kpop (she had a whole shrine dedicated to girls generation in high school) and thought that was totally normal and not a little bit gay at all. her love language is all of them (changed this from a previous post) and she really likes ava and truly does seek her approval even though they both pretend they dont like eachother. she 100% has a thing for older women (me too girl i feel u) and thats why she gravitates toward workwives (it becomes v confusing for her bc she doesnt know if she wants them or wants them to adopt her lmao)

The way I know in my spirit that Ava bought Melissa that pink shirt because her current hyperfixation is fashion and more importantly peoples skin tones and what looks complimentary on them. She’s dressing that woman up like her own personal Italian barbie and I love that for them

ok fashion being ava’s hyperfixation definitely works, i think tiktok too… when she’s in the zone she’s in the zone and it’s just all she wants to do. plus she’s so enthusiastic about it and gets genuinely excited to make videos for janine and barbara 😭

but ok fashion, yes, and so of course that’s why she and ashley get along right off the bat. i’d love to see her have an episode where maybe janine’s getting ready for her and greg’s first date, and maybe she asks ava for help picking what to wear? and we could get to see ava’s closet and her whole process while she’s like eagerly explaining to the camera — and after that, janine starts to borrow clothes from ava more often.

plus in melissava world, ava would definitely enjoy coordinating outfits with melissa and shopping for both of them. and imagine the couples costumes

The way Ava is actually super sweet and non judgemental is so lovely. She really is riddled with ADHD and people have a hard time seeing past that, and she has this huge heart of gold underneath. Ava gets the sweet baby princess badge ❤️

ava is literally such a sweetheart and people don’t see that at first glance. personally i headcanon her (and a lot of the main characters in abbott) as autistic and that’s why she tends to make jokes or say things that sound insensitive or self-centered. but that’s an entirely separate thought! ANYWAY adhd!ava is canon and i need them to give her more plot lines exploring her silliness and struggles etc. or a gf. they could give her a gf.
