Scholastic submission! Inspired by transcendentalism, being small in a huge unknown universe, and the song "Chanson d'un jour d'hiver" by Cortex. Highly recommend. The trees are a little clumsy to me, but oh well.

many of the drawings before 2017 are small sketches in a large notebook I was given as a gift from my friend. They are slightly random, but I worked very hard on them, even with little skill. The pages I was most proud of were photographed and uploaded. Some of these lay on a fine line between journaling and art.

When I travel abroad and make good memories, I take small papers and mementos of the activities I did. I use them to create a scrapbook log, along with sketches and journal entries.

I doodle and sketch a lot on random pieces of paper. A lot of them are unsuccessful, but many are good, descriptive documentations of my artistic growth. Said drawings and sketches are ripped or cut out.

fall 2017 : autumn embroidery

These are my first works in embroidery. Because I didn’t have embroidery thread at first, I untwisted normal sewing thread lengthwise so it would fit into the needle. I also cut a regular canvas shirt instead of using proper material, hence the strange pulls and inconsistency of textures, but despite the lack of materials and experience, I created decent images.
