A Kiss Like That

She was walking home from work when it started pouring outside. She ran under a building to catch cover. After several moments she heard a deep voice “ You idiot, why didn’t you bring an umbrella? Didn’t you read the forecast?” That could only be one person. She turned around and smiled at the man before her. “aVictor, hi.” His eyebrows raised “Hello, _ _ _” 

She looked away and looked at the rain hopelessly. “ Do you have somewhere to be ?” Victor asked she shook her head. “ No, I just don’t want to stand here all night and wait for the rain to stop.” Victor looked at her with irritation “Obviously, I have an umbrella, we can share.” Her eyes widened a bit. “You’ll get wet though.” He grabbed her tightly around the waist and pulled her next to him. 

“ Not if we stay close together.” Her cheeks flushed at the close proximity, and the hand that was on her bicep felt warm. She wondered if he’s always warm like that? “ You’re pretty wet already, we should get you some dry clothes.” A line formed between her eyebrows.

“ No Victor, I don’t want to put you out like that.” He sighed “ Why are you like this _ _ _? It’s not putting me out, I don’t want to have to take care of you if you get sick.” She looked up at him and into his onyx eyes. “ I won’t get sick, I’ll be okay. I hardly ever get sick.” His hand moved from her bicep to her forearm. “ Yes you will, you’d have to be inhuman to not get sick with how cold and wet you are. We will go to my place, it’s closer than yours. You can take a hot shower, and borrow something of mine.” Her breath hitched, and there was a worried expression on her face. “ I promise I’ll be a gentleman. I won’t try anything, not that I’d want to.” She nodded her head in confirmation.

They walked the short distance to Victor’s apartment huddled together. Ocassionly he would ghost his fingers up her arm, giving her goosebumps. Victor stopped at the door to fold the umbrella. He opened the door and motioned for her to enter. “Are you hungry _ _ _? I can make us something .” She smiled, and Victor couldn’t take his eyes away from how her smile made her eyes light up.“ Will you make me some of your pudding?” A small smile formed on Victor’s face. “ You are always so demanding, but for you, I will.” She leaned her head on his arm. It made his entire being hot but he didn’t mind the feeling, it was welcoming. 

Once they entered his apartment, she noticed how clean and immaculate it was. “Come in, and stop standing there like a dummy.” She grabbed the hem of her sweater nervously and walked in. “ I’ll get you some dry clothes before you make a puddle on my carpet. Then you can shower.” She smiled, and he walked away. She stayed stock still in the same spot not moving an inch afraid of ruining his apartment. She took in the view of all his belongings. It was more inviting than she initially thought it was with the artwork and family photos. 

He came back holding folded clothes “ Here, the bathroom is down the hall first door on your right.” She smiled and nodded “Thank you, Victor.” He crossed his arms “ Don’t mention it.” He turned away and walked to the kitchen. she was walking to the bathroom when she noticed he gave her a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt. “ Hey Victor, I didn’t know you owned normal clothes.” And she walked off. He had a slight blush dusted across his cheeks as he prepared them dinner. 

Once she was done with her shower she came out wearing his clothes, with wet brushed hair “ Victor do you have a blow dryer?” He looked over at her “ Hmm... oh yeah, let me get it.” She followed him into his large bathroom. He bent over to get the blow dryer from under the sink. He stood up and turned around, finally noticing the clothes she wore. His pants were a bit long and the shirt was big, but she looked absolutely adorable. 

She grabbed the blow dryer with her fingers touching his. He looked down at their hands, and his heart started to speed up, he looked up at her into her beautiful eyes. He could get lost in those eyes, and she could get lost in his. They stood there with their  hands touching, staring into each other’s eyes with more want than either of them ever had before. She broke away from the stare first, and he let her take the blow dryer. “ Thanks” She turned to plug it in, but she tripped over the cord “ Hey watch it.” But it was too late she was already falling, Victor rushed to catch her before she fell backwards right into his arms. Her wet hair was stuck across her forehead, and he brushed it back gently. Her cheeks flushed pink, and the sensation was almost too much for her to handle. 

They were having an odd moment, a moment they have never shared before “ You need to be more careful _ _ _.” She sighed “yeah..” his hand went from her hair to caress her blushing cheeks with his knuckle. She was holding onto his biceps, but moved one of her hands to his neck. He felt weak at the touch and looked down at her lips. The urge to kiss her had become overwhelming, and he couldn’t hold back anymore. “ What if I kissed you right now?” She was lost at his intense stare “... Wha-” His stare intensified, and before she could answer his soft lips found hers. In chaste peck at first, but she pulled him closer to her deepening the kiss. Her hand went to the nape of his neck to scrape at his hair, and he had one hand on her waist and the other on her cheek.

The sounds of hard breathing were heard, and he prodded his tongue at her lips. She opened on command allowing him access to her mouth. As his hot tongue explored her mouth he gave out a throaty groan and drew them even closer together. Their tongues teased and danced together. She felt like she was on fire, she had wanted this for so long but was always afraid of taking that leap of faith. But now that he had his hands on her and claimed her lips. She couldn’t let him go, she wouldn’t let him go. This is a man she would fight for this is a man she would follow to end of the earth. She wanted him, and just like he protects her she wants to protect him. 

Finally, he broke the kiss “ I've wanted to do that for months.” Her eyes widened “Really?” He smiled a genuine smile “ Yes really.” He kissed her forehead “Only an idiot like you wouldn’t have noticed.” She scoffed “How could I, you are so closed off.” He looked away embarrassed “ I guess that’s fair.” He said as he pressed his forehead to hers “ Hey” She said combing her fingers through his hair. “ Hmmm?” She smiled slyly, he knew that look That was the look she gave when she was playful. He knew that he was in for it now. “ You said you’d be a gentleman, that you wouldn’t try anything. I do believe we just made out. If that isn’t trying something I don’t know what is.” He blushed fiercely “ I lied” He smiled devilishly “ Now that I’ve had a taste, I’m not going to let you go.” His lips fell on hers again sealing his promise.
