Here is a cool transformation that I did. Some of my clients are super tender scalped and I love doing back-teased balayage, but the truth is they hurt. It’s a lot of tangles and brushing out. So when I approached this balayage, I used the blow dryer balayage technique. If you don’t know what that is you better ask sombodeh!! Who wouldn’t love to spend 8 hours with me on a Sunday? Well, this girl definitely didn’t mind it! We went from a natural level 3 hair to this. Beautiful blonde with white tips. When I approached this project, I knew that I had to go in not too strong but not too weak. If I went in too strong, the hair would start to get compromised and I would have to pull out the foils before it got to the level I needed it to be at. If I went in too weak, the hair wouldn’t even get light enough and then we would have too much natural pigment in the hair remaining. So I went in with 13 volume and Olaplex. I also ended up reapplying bleach with 20 volume to get us that extra level of lightness. I then toned her twice. The first one was to cancel out any yellows that were still in the hair. And the second toner was to lock in the tune and ensure that the color wouldn’t wash out. Honestly, the hair was much more ashier than this photo depicts. I am having a hard time taking after photos in my new hair salon because I think it’s a combination of the gray walls and the yellow lighting coming directly above from the ceiling. I will eventually figure it out. But this hair has a much more silver tone to it. I’ll tag her and you can visit her page to see what I’m talking about. Anyways, here is it. My latest hair project. Sunday is always Funday because it’s Hairday. I currently only do hair on Sundays. So make sure to book your appointments as the slots fill up fast! Here we did a pretty Cool/Warm Balayage. Sometimes I can’t tell if it’s cool or warm and these are one of them. It’s warm but not orange. And it’s cool but not gray or silver. So maybe its Perfect, who knows? Brunettes Need Luv Too. Took this mama from Boring to Beautiful! We wanted something low maintenance because the last thing a busy mama needs is to be in the salon every 4 weeks. She went home with purple shampoo and moisture shampoo to last her this coming month and all the knowledge she needs to know about up keeping her new hair:) Most times clients ruin their new and beautiful hair on the first wash. And to a certain extent, it’s the hair stylists fault. It’s very important to me to make sure my girls know how to take care of their hair and how to adapt their hair regimen to accommodate and make the color last. I lightened her natural hair with @ schwarzkopfusa Blonde Me and @olaplex in @framar foils. Once we were light enough I toned with @kenraprofessional 7N+7B+1”5VR on the roots to mids and then melted that into 8N+8B+10B+1”5VR Then I styled her with a 1 1/4” @babylissprousa Curling iron What do you guys think? NOW ACCEPTING NEW HAIR CLIENTS I am happy to announce that I am also doing hair at Sola Salons on S Buffalo Drive as well and am ready to schedule hair appointments for the rest of 2019! This was a balayage that I raised over a previous balayage I did nine months ago. Let me tell you when she came in for her appointment, it still looked flawless and I was worried if I was going to be able to make it look any better. But of course, I did, Haha! First I applied the lightener to all of the new growth, which was about 3-4 inches, then after all of that was lightened I ran lightener through the ends with only 7 volume. Because I was the only one that ever put lightener on her hair, I was not scared of damage or over lifting when re lightening the ends. I just wanted to brighten it one level and take off any mineral build-up that naturally happens and makes the hair appear darker than it really is. (It happens a lot here in Vegas because of how harsh our water is and the amount of chlorine and whatever else weird minerals are in our water that we wash our hair in at home) Then I toned her once and that was it. If we wanted a more Ashy end result, I would have glossed her one more time to take her very ash. However, we just wanted a nice neutral pearl blonde and that’s what she left with exactly. My blonde appointments are roughly 6 hours because of how gentle I am with the process. I use the highest grade lighteners and bonders and I do not put my girls under heat to accelerate and speed up the lifting process. BALAYAGE//BABYLITES//EXTENSIONS SLIDE➡️ For Before & After I approached this hair game a little different in that I actually gave her a full Balayage Babylight session BEFORE installing the hair. A lot of times the hair is installed and then everything around it it balayage and babylighted to blend in. However, me doing the Balayage first allows my client to take out her extensions if she would like to rest from them in the future and still have flawless natural hair. I went in and balayage her using 7 volume and then installed the extensions thereafter. Chocolate Dream🍫 I wish i had taken a before photo. Leilani came into the salon this morning with 3” of roots(White Hairs) and black all the way through the ends. We had planned on getting a bit lighter but after having the lightener in foils for an hour, I knew we reached our max lift for this first session. I think we did pretty good for ripping through years of black dye.
