what got me into orv

i made this hc way way wayyyy back when i first started reading but i do still think that one (not the sole reason, but one) of the reasons that yjh is so violent and intimidating and makes people use honorifics around him etc is that he genuinely did used to be nice. like full on NICE and naïve and that got taken advantage of hard in the first couple of regressions (see anna croft, among other things). And then he did not have the tools to cope with that besides jumping from A extremity to Z extremity immediately

Dokja and Jonghyuk are homoerotic because they are Actually In Love with each other. but i want to be extremely clear that KDJ and Lee Hyunsung have their own homoerotic moments just as often, if not more frequently - the differentiation from yookim is that their moments are relegated only to everyday situations so they don't hold as much weight. like yjh will stab kdj through the heart fulfilling the prophecy of death by his greatest love, but kdj and lhs will reach for the red pepper flakes in the cabinet at the same time and their hands will tenderly brush for a second too long or the two of them will be checking kimcom into a hotel and lhs will put an arm around kdj because He Loves His Friends :) and the reception and staff just automatically assume they're a couple. stuff like that

hsy's anger at yjh not completing their manuscript and his quiet insistence that he made the right choice...hsy with her perspective as an author fretting that his choice will disappoint readers (and therefore lead to the story being forgotten)...while yjh, after having lived a predetermined life with so many things set for him, recognizes the freedom an open ending grants to all of its characters to continue the story beyond the book...and giving all of us as incarnations of the oldest dream the opportunity to imagine our own
