“After consulting with the embassy, while making full use of not only Yuzen Itome but also locust dyeing, the three symbols of the pomegranate flower, the design of ‘pig’ like a magatama, and the modern building ‘frame tower’ that represents flames, dyed in a beautiful color reminiscent of Azerbaijan.”[1]
Obi Maker: Shiko Co., Ltd./ 紫紘
“Using Nishijin’s hand-woven foil technique, this work is a collection of pomegranates into a moon and stars, centered on the frame tower, which is also a symbol of Azerbaijan. The coloring is also reminiscent of the national flag.” [1]
