On my hyperfixation train again, this time on Ninjago... again. This is my second time trying to post this, lol my internet is horrible and the first draft got deleted.

I've been developing this guy in my head for a good long while, but I'm really happy to have a solid 1.0 design for him. I used Mecabricks to get the general base idea and finished him off in clip studio paint.

This dude has a lot of lore that I'm really excited to get into, but this is more of an intro post. I want to write him out as a fully fleshed character, and explore what his world would be like, considering his particular unique predicament and the new society that he exists within. I really want to explore the struggle of accepting change and becoming the feared unkown, as well as the future potential for corruption of ninja moral ideology.

Plus, I'm really kinda upset that the show didn't explore the serpentine further than they did. Like, how their society works and stuff. They clearly have governing bodies and roles, I want to flesh it out a bit more. And the fact that they just casually dropped the fact that the fangpyres can turn people into serpentine and they only made that relevant, two, maybe 3 times?! (Once bitten twice shy, my beloved) Absolute heresy. The emotional struggle and adaptation to a new form of society must be crazy, and that's what I'm here to look into with Cadmus. Without revealing too much, he's kind of stuck between two worlds, regarded cautiously by both. Dude's got problems.

Anyway, thanks for reading my rant if you made it this far, lol. And if you know why I named him Cadmus, you get a crisp high five.
