What comes to your mind when you hear the word 'all-star band'? Not so much, I know, there have been an incredible number of these all-star bands lately and actually all of them were boring and terrible. But not the Backbeat Band and their only album, the OST score for the 1994 blockbuster movie Backbeat! And it celebrates its 30th Anniversary this year! Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth), Dave Grohl (Nirvana), Greg Dulli (The Afghan Whigs), Dave Pirner (Soul Asylum), Don Fleming (Gumball) and Mike Mills (R.E.M.) are the Backbeat Band and we warmly congratulate you on your 30th Anniversary!
