Bajaj Pulsar N 150 Launched- 5 Things You Must Know
Source- Business Upside India
Bajaj just released the Pulsar N 150, and the business is working hard to progressively increase the number of Pulsar models available. The N250 and F250 were the first of the new generation of Pulsars to be introduced in 2021.The N160 and P150, who were right behind them, came next. The introduction of the Bajaj Pulsar N 150 was one surprise the firm offered its customers. The introduction did not, however, supersede the Pulsar P150 or previous Pulsars. It just says that the three 150 cc Pulsars will stay available for purchase.
1. Bajaj Pulsar N 150 – The appearance
It is evident that the model takes its appearance cues from N160. Thus, the N160's appearance is what inspired the headlamp, LED projector, side panels, fuel tank, and tail lamp. There will be three colour options for these motorcycles in terms of colour. Racing Red, Metallic Pearl White, and Ebony Black are a few of these.

About Pulsar N160 :
Bajaj Pulsar is a street bike available at a starting price of Rs. 1,22,974 in India. It is available in 4 variants and 3 colours with top variant price starting from Rs. 1,30,425. The Bajaj Pulsar N160 is powered by 164.82cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 15.68bhp and a torque of 14.65 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, Bajaj Pulsar N160 comes up with anti-locking braking system. This Pulsar N160 bike weighs 152kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres.
Pulsar n160 top speed: 120kmph
The Pulsar N160’s engine has nothing to do with the existing Pulsar NS160’s mill. This engine, in fact, has been under development around the same time as the Pulsar 250’s engine. It has a long-stroke configuration, with a simple two-valve head and makes 16hp and 14.7Nm of peak torque. These figures aren’t class leading, although it is quite close to the motorcycles at the top of the segment. Only the RTR 160 4V and the NS160 outdo the N160 in claimed engine output figures. However, there is also the fact that at 154kg, N160 is the heaviest bike in the segment. You would imagine that with a power to weight ratio of 103.89hp/tonne, compared with the RTR’s 119.86hp/tonne, the Pulsar N160 is already on the back foot. But that’s only on paper.
In the real world, the engine is delightfully smooth, packs oodles of torque and has decent top end performance as well. The low and midrange between 4,000 to 7,000rpm, especially, is astonishingly good. You can be as lazy as a sloth, slot the gearbox in 5th and ride at 30-35kph in the city without any signs of protest from the engine. Roll on the throttle from this point and the bike pulls cleanly, albeit at a slow pace. However, if you need to pull a quick overtake you will have to go down a gear or two. Not that you’ll mind this because the gearbox is smooth and the light clutch lever action will also make it a breeze to go up and down the cogs.
All said, the engine’s superb tractability will make it natural for those graduating from 125cc-150cc motorcycles to feel at home with the N160.
Top-end performance isn’t lacking either and the bike can hold a steady 80-90kph without feeling or sounding strained. Sitting at 100kph, too, doesn’t cause the engine to sweat. From then on, however, the performance begins to taper as the digital speedo climbs to an indicated top speed of around 120kph. At this point, the revs are also pretty close to the redline, which again is an indicator of the engine reaching its performance ceiling.
Overall, the N160’s engine is the star of the show here and I’m also a fan of its throaty exhaust note.

Upcoming Bajaj Pulsar N160 spotted testing again
The new Pulsar bears close resemblance to the Pulsar N250. Bajaj Auto has been spotted testing a new motorcycle, and it is possible that it could be the new Pulsar N160. Bajaj Pulsar NS160 Overview
In India, the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 street bike has a starting price of Rs. 1,24,524 (ex-showroom). There is just one version and four colours offered. The 160.3cc BS6 engine that powers the Pulsar NS160 produces 16.8bhp and 14.6Nm of torque. The Bajaj NS160 has anti-locking brakes with front and rear disc brakes. The gasoline tank on this Pulsar NS160 motorcycle can hold 12 litres of petrol and overall the bike weighs 151 kg.
Tumblr media
In terms of price and features, the Bajaj NS160 is a more expensive model that sits a notch above the Pulsar 150. Notably, the NS160 keeps all of the design cues from its larger sister, the NS200. The main differences between the two are the NS160's 240mm front disc and narrower tyre profiles. It does, however, use the same perimeter frame as the NS200, which gives it greater handling than the Pulsar 150.
Due to the tremendous demand for 150-160cc bajaj bikes, particularly among young people, and the mix of style, performance, and price they provide, Bajaj has chosen to enter this extremely profitable market with the new Pulsar NS 160. How effective is the new Pulsar then? Let's see.
Design and features
The bodywork on the N160 is the same as that on the N200, and that's not at all a negative thing, just like it is with the chassis. Highlights of the design include elements like the headlamp cowl, the sculpted fuel tank and its extensions, or how the side and tail sections converge. Another example of Bajaj's attention to detail is the floating panel on the front mudguard and the frost effect inside the LED taillight on the black chrome 3D Pulsar logo. The unique colourway that this variation wears is the cherry on top, adding to its allure. Check these Bajaj Pulsar NS160 Specifications before buying.
Engine
A BS6-compliant 160cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine powers the NS160. This engine is paired with a five-speed gearbox and is calibrated to produce 16.8bhp and 14.6Nm of torque. Telescopic forks in the front and a gas-charged monoshock at the back support the motorbike. The motorbike has split-five-spoke alloy wheels with front and rear tires measuring 80/100 and 110/80, respectively. The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 has single-channel ABS and disc brakes on both ends for stopping power.
 Brakes and Suspension
The Pulsar NS160's front fork, which is telescopic and equipped with an anti-friction bush, is quite similar to that of the departing Pulsar 150. A Nitrox-filled Monoshock suspension with a canister is installed in the back. The front of the vehicle features 240mm disc brakes, and the back has a 130mm drum brake. On both ends of the alloy wheels, tubeless tires with the measurements 80/100-17 46P & 110/80-17 57P are mounted.
Variants & Price
Price ranges from 1.05 lakhs to 1.19 lakhs for the Pulsar NS160 (both prices ex-showroom). The Bajaj NS160 is offered in 4 hues. The top-tier Bajaj Pulsar NS160 Price is 1.05 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The Pulsar NS160 is available from Bajaj in the colours Metallic Pearl White, Burnt Red, and Pewter Grey. In India, the motorcycle's rivals include the Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha FZS 3.0 FI, Honda XBlade, Honda CB Hornet 160R, and more.
