Episode 1 ~ Paradise Found
“ummm h it’s ary d tvt number?” he asks, I’m confused of course since it’s more of a phrase and in my mind all I hear is something about numbers. “Phone. To talk with you.”
“Oh! Yes! Yes!” I say excitedly and we do exchange numbers! Let’s see where this goes, maybe no where if the language barrier continues to exist between us but he seems patient about that?

[TASK 184: THE GAMBIA]
In celebration of February being Black History Month and in celebration of February 18th being Gambian Independence Day, here’s a masterlist below compiled of over 310+ Gambian faceclaims categorised by gender with their occupation and ethnicity denoted if there was a reliable source. If you want an extra challenge use random.org to pick a random number! Of course everything listed below are just suggestions and you can pick whichever faceclaim or whichever project you desire.
Any questions can be sent here and all tutorials have been linked below the cut for ease of access! REMEMBER to tag your resources with #TASKSWEEKLY and we will reblog them onto the main! This task can be tagged with whatever you want but if you want us to see it please be sure that our tag is the first five tags, @ mention us or send us a messaging linking us to your post!
THE TASK - scroll down for FC’s!
STEP 1: Decide on a FC you wish to create resources for! You can always do more than one but who are you starting with? There are links to masterlists you can use in order to find them and if you want help, just send us a message and we can pick one for you at random!
STEP 2: Pick what you want to create! You can obviously do more than one thing, but what do you want to start off with? Screencaps, RP icons, GIF packs, masterlists, PNG’s, fancasts, alternative FC’s - LITERALLY anything you desire!
STEP 3: Look back on tasks that we have created previously for tutorials on the thing you are creating unless you have whatever it is you are doing mastered - then of course feel free to just get on and do it. :)
STEP 4: Upload and tag with #TASKSWEEKLY! If you didn’t use your own screencaps/images make sure to credit where you got them from as we will not reblog packs which do not credit caps or original gifs from the original maker.
THINGS YOU CAN MAKE FOR THIS TASK -  examples are linked!
Stumped for ideas? Maybe make a masterlist or graphic of your favourite faceclaims. A masterlist of names. Plot ideas or screencaps from a music video preformed by an artist. Masterlist of quotes and lyrics that can be used for starters, thread titles or tags. Guides on culture and customs.

Episode 1 ~ Paradise Found
Yep. Cereal again. I am just a little too stressed to cook a proper breakfast because last nights outing was still on my mind.
I like Bakary, I really do! I see something there, something that I feel could become...I don’t know? The beginnings of a relationship? I’m really disappointed that last night didn’t work out and I guess I’ll have to move on for now.
Yes, I was a little annoying about trying to get him to do the nude thing with me but only because I thought it would be in good fun! His remark about my family was a low blow and one I will not easily get over I think.

Episode 1 ~ Paradise Found
We moved from the general seating area to a more secluded area of the club. Well, no area was secluded really since it was all open air around was but there was literally no one else around so I guess we didn’t have to move but the chairs here were a lot nicer and it allowed us to sit closer together.
I admit, I do want to get closer to Bakary. He’s the only one I know around here really and he’s been so nice and welcoming and has helped a lot with my Simlish. He’s also good looking! He strikes all the checkboxes and really I am just hoping he makes a move and so that was why I guided him to a loveseat so that just maybe he would.
“There is one special thing about this club,” he says, i’m not sure I understood him completely so I just raised my eyebrows, confused. “Nudity is optional.”
“Nudity?”
“Yes umm...you know, no clothes, you can be naked,”
I giggled, knowing what that was all about. “You want to get naked for both of us?”
“No I mean...I-I was just bringing it up!” He claims, a little flustered! It was cute to see and I could not help but giggle. “I-I was just warning just in case-”
“Club is empty,” I correctly pointed out. “Come, let’s go then.”

Episode 1 ~ Paradise Found
“What is here?” I ask, my Simlish getting better, at least good enough so that a conversation could be held between us.
The location Bakary had chosen was a nice one. He claimed it was owned by one of the activists groups that is just now moving into Sulani to help the cleaning efforts and that this place was open to the public. Whoever owned it was well funded it seems as it was such a scenic place. Nestled cozily on the warm shores and it felt like the sea had cradled it with such care.
“Do you like it? I figured you would,” he tells me.
“Yes, very good!”
“I think the owners name is Chris. She’s usually floating around here but...”
But it was really quiet for whatever reason. Well, I don’t mind that, the more time we can share with each other the better.
“Chris? You know Chris?” I asked because it felt like Bakary had known some important people. This Chris certainly seemed like one of them.
“I’ve just seen her around and heard of her and I’m sure you’ll hear from her too. She’s new here but sure does get around this island. She’s one determined woman.

Since we were on a beach and since we needed something to do the idea of making sand castles seemed a perfect idea! I think too that we do an amazing job and if this were a competition we’d finish in the top three, definitely!

Episode 1 ~ Paradise Found
Since we were already right outside of my place I decided to show him where I’m currently living. Currently because who knows where I’ll be a year from now? I certainly don’t.
There wasn’t much of a tour to give as it was just a nice little pad with room for one person and that was it.
“It’s nice, cleeieailspya osrv anuynleiec beach,” he tells me.
“Yeah,” that’s true isn’t it? It’s not the largest place but it is in a nice location. “You live near?”
“Yes, yes I do,” he replies slowly, he’s getting better at making the language barrier between us easier since he’s speaking with some deliberation. “That bikmirt, seti meeting.ewhognrebee, think ehs nepsbahwsnitt akae e y cil neighbors.”
I nod my head, thinking how to reply to that but he doesn’t give me a chance to do so, thankfully.
“Thank you ot showing nah? Maybe daeiole spend time gnesns n date?”
“Oh! Yes! Maybe!” Did he just ask me out on a date? Can someone translate and be sure?

Episode 2 ~ Wave After Wave
You know a week ago I thought and hoped that I would have spent Love Day with Bakary but he’s fallen so far from my mind that I’m surprised when he even calls. Again, he’s just wondering what I have planned for today and I tell him that actually I’m going to that nudist beach where we had an argument at and he sounds disappointed I think. I let him know that I’ve found someone and that I am moving on. I do not think I’ll be seeing much of him moving forward.

After another day full of loving from Losi it feels a little odd to get a call from Bakary. He’s just asking what I’m doing, how I’m doing, the basics. I guess he’s just trying to connect again but right now I’m just not very interested.
Oh, yes, I did take this call without wearing any clothes, you do get used to it!

Episode 1 ~ Paradise Found
I spent most of the day doing nothing and eventually decided that if I was going to do nothing then I might as well do nothing outside. As usual I run into Bakary, either he’s following me or it’s just a coincidence but I always enjoy running into him either way.
“We meet again!” He says with his familiar smile, a smile that always makes my own lips curl upwards in reply.
“Hi! We do!”

Episode 1 ~ Paradise Found
I stand up to meet him again and he seems just as happy to see me too. “Hey!” he greets, I’m almost tempted to give him a hug but I realize he’s still very much a stranger to me.
“Hi!”
“Second day in a row, small island, huh?”
“Yeah!” Again, Simlish is not my first language so the fewer words the better. “But pretty island.”
“Sad when people trash it,” I say, proud of the sentence I’ve made and he’s nodding his head which tells me he understood it. Mission accomplished!
“I’ve g cleaning fg beaches ga rtrcrtacrt h amazes d gg s  dggf fg gju g ust fg ug.  H gju  gju g ust fg ug they’re f tvt  fg ug”
I nod, his mouth was moving but only vague sounds were coming out of it. He spoke a little too much and a little quickly. He tries again but this time he slows down, thankfully.
“We’ll clean this place up, one day at a time!”
“One day at a time!” I echoed, agreeing completely and a little more motivated to pick up trash again.

Episode 1 ~ Paradise Found
Hopefully I’ll be better prepared if I do see him again because as the sun fell and the air cooled I decided to lounge around the beach a little more and study my simlish on Simlingo.

Episode 1 ~ Paradise Found
Too much of anything is bad for you, especially too much sun. So eventually (unfortunately) I get up off the float I had randomly claimed and made my way back to the beach. There were a few people there, not many, but enough for someone to approach.
“You must be a tourist too!” The man said in a deep heart melting voice that caught my attention immediately...well, okay, not immediately because my brain was operating at a different level still but you get my point? “Bakary, what’s your name?”
I nodded my head absently. “Kyoko,” Simlish is not my first language but it’s at least better than my Sulani and of course when you start learning a new language one of the first things you learn is how to tell someone your name when asked. “Sorry, my simlish is...” I shake my head, letting him know it’s not good and the less I say in Simlish the better.
“You here on vacation or...why are you here?”
“Help clean...umm, beaches,” my reply is short because again my Simlish is not very good.
Bakary seems to get that and the smile on his face makes me feel a lot better. He begins to talk a little slower which usually would be seen as an insult but when you’re still trying to pick up another language it’s simply a considerate thing to do.
“A coincidence then!” He says, I’m staring at him confused because I have no idea what he’s said. “Ummm, its...interesting because I too am here to help clean the beaches.”
“Oh!” I nod my head and smile, a natural defense when there is a language barrier. “Good!”
“It was a pleasure to meet you, Kyoko...nice to meet you!”
“Good meeting too!”
I really do hope I’ll be seeing him again...
